Reality Check

I am starting this topic in order to do a Reality Check on matters like Marriage, Dowry and Hypocrisy.

# How many people do you know got married without parents support and at what age ?

# There are countless people who are richer than any individual and countless peoples who are poorer than any individual, so what is stopping a person from getting married if NOT MONEY !

# The system of dowry was developed ages ago to compensate daughters or provide financial security as they were not given any share in family property and land. Sons used to inherit all the assets.

# What will you call those who neither give dowry nor share family wealth ?

# Dowry or wedding gifts are like ENTRY FEES or Bribe to husband and in-laws so that they tolerate and forgive the short comings of the bride.

# No Marriage proposition is OPEN for ALL.
Even if parents want to give extravagant dowry to their daughter on wedding but that doesn't mean they will accept a beggar from the street to be their son-in-law. The proposition is for guys or families who satisfy certain STANDARD of living or class.
