If the, ‘Treh Chrittar’, found in Dasam Guru Durbar are not Sikh scripture (according to modern mainstream Sikh ideology), then why do modern institutions such as the A.K.J., S.G.P.C., Sant Samaj, etc., who hold this belief read, ‘Kabio Bach Benti Chaupai’, in their daily liturgy and also use this text when initiating new Khalsa? This text is the concluding part of the last Treh Chrittar. This goes to show how much knowledge they have. Each institution mentioned there believe in Charitro Paakhyan as bani, Missionaries etc do not. How could they even think about including sant samaj into that list? Bunch of jokers. . Why do the ancient Sikh historical texts such as Sarbloh Guru Durbar, Gurprtap Suraj Prakash, Naveen Panth Prakash etc. speak of 'Treh Mudra' (three adornments - kard, kachera and kesh) instead of the '5 Ks'* (* The 5 K - kesh (unshorn hair), kara (steel/iron war bracelet), kirpan/kard (dagger), kanga (wooden comb) and kachera (breeches))? I think the 1st thing we need to do is read SRI DASAM GRANTH SAHIB before other granths which should be studied after aad sri guru granth sahib, then dasam granth sahib. In sri dasam granth sahib there is a small bani called nishan-e-sikhi. This bani contains the basic rehat for sikhs. in this bani the panj kakaars are mentioned as ( kara kaardo kach kanga kesh.) Such questions should be asked to vidhvaans of these granths are not public. Baba trilok singh has given a satisfactory answer about treh mudr in his CD with katha on Sarabloh granth. 14. Why do not modern mainstream Sikhs, unlike Sanatan Sikhs, acknowledge the Dasam Guru Durbar as Guru as their ancestors did in the 18th century? Sikhs in 18th century never regarded Dasam granth Sahib As their sole Guru. They Gave it respect as Satguru Gobind Singh jee's Saroop and Bani, the embodiment of guru gobind singh jee. The guru ofcourse was satguru granth sahib jee, hence at sri darbar sahib only guru granth sahib jee was parkash, but at sri akaal thakat aad and dasam were both parkash, along with the parkash of shastars. 19. How come in Adi Guru Durbar one can find quotes to back both the argument of vegetarianism and meat-eating? Please show me where Satguru jee Backs meat eating? NO WHERE! People take the maas maas kar moorakh jhagre shabad out of context. The time, place and reason of this shabad needs to be studied before. Please listen to giani thakur singh or sant gurbachan singh jee's katha on this shabad. No doubt will be left. I don't know anything , so forgive my mistakes. I hope some more learned gursikhs on this website, will give more insight into these shanka invoking questions.

  6. Sant jee are in England at the moment for this week. I think some of the questions above have already been answered by Neo Singh in his audios which he recorded a while ago. These have been answered previously i think : What if a person is not an Amritdhari Gursikh, can they still attain Sach Khand? Or will they forever be subject to their karam? -Is doing paathh the same as naam simran?
  7. man the programme looks real downhill this year..2bh i wont even bother going this year with such a poor list of kirtanees. manpreet singh, davinder singh , harjinder singh,amandeep singh are all 'commercial' filmly shilmy wale man. last year we had amrik singh zakhmi, niranjan singh and so on.. WHERES THE KATHA VAACHIKS THIS YEAR??? last few years weve had giani thakur singh, giani hardeep singh , sant ranjit singh ect doing some proper katha. this year doesnt look that interesting...

  9. I thought Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaaraan come before Aad Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?, maybe even before panj granthi? no they will not come before panj granthee. sometimes they are taught before sggs sometimes not..
  10. this is from the book ' sankhep itihaas damdami taksaal' published by Giani Harnaam singh dhumma this is the order in which santhia is taught : -muharni, -panj bania nitnem, -panj granthi(jap ji sahib shabad hazare, Rehras, Sohilla, Sidh Gost, Anand, Bavan Akhan, Sukhmani and Asa ki //) -baee vaara ( vaars in guru granth sahib) -bhagat bani( all the bani of bhagats in sggs) -aad guru granth sahib -dasam granth sahib -bha gurdas ji vaara + kabit -bhai nand laal jis gazala -then pothis on vedaant such as sarkutaavli, bhaavrasamrit, vichar mala, adhiyaatam parkash , vichar saagar, chanaaka, moksh panth,birti prabhakar etc to my knowledge all gurbani is taught in lareevaar at all of the taksals
  11. the language the shabad is written in is FARSI the script it is written in is GURMUKHI e.g. sahiskritee saloks are not in sanskrit or punjabi language , they are SAHISKRITEE but written in gurmukhi form most of dasam granth sahib jee is in farsi brij bhasa etc only chandi di vaar and 1 shabad are in punjabi language but in GURMUKHI script. the original poster is right yes there in farsi in guru granth sahib !

  14. Where did you get this information? Can you tell us the source of refrence? Are you telling us bthat pth of Guru sahiban was not enough for us to lead a life of gurmat. bhai sahib - this is from the book 'sankhep itihaas damdami taksal' written by didar singh Published by dam dami taksal itself. When learning katha etc it is important to learn vedaant along with other pothia. ajj kal katha vaachiks dont know the basics thats why they dont really effect teh sangat with their vichaar. if you look at maskeen jee, taksal kathavaachiks , nirmale sadhus, there katha has a large effect on sangat because of the fact they didnt stay narrow minded and studied evrything they could find 2 broaden tehir giaan, it is not a 'paap' (LOL) as many people see to read puratan granths on rajneetee,vedant. the whole point of a taksal is 2 mint a coin, and the point of sikh taksaals are 2 create a shudh coin from nothing...and in such cases you can't be narrow minded
