Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today, pal? Lighten up. Life is too short to harp on crap like this. Enjoy! Don't worry about everyone else's problems, just focus on yourself. If I want to strip to my shorts and swim in money, that's my problem! Got It?

what IF her family didnt beat her and lock her up? and she's using it as an excuse to run off with the guy *edited*

Never thought that way  all I was emphasizing was not to give the girl third degree treatment.

You need parent consent to get married if you're under the age of 21??? grin.gif

Wonder if that should apply in the UK!!!

You need parent consent to get married if you're under the age of 18 in the UK

The marriageable age is

in England and Wales: 16 with consent of parents, 18 otherwise.

in Scotland: 16

in Northern Ireland: 17 with consent, 18 otherwise

Thats the problem with most punjabi families. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any other race/religion would have accepted the boy and got them married off in their related place of worship maybe even converted the boy. The boy will then be happy to learn about his partners religion because he will feel welcomed!.

Not the punjabi's.!

First think families will always say it what other punjabi people will say! Who cares. Why beat your own flesh and blood because of what other punjabi families will say.

wow... do we have that little of a life that we sit here n bikker endlessly about things that dun concern us..??

we are the problem itself... we sit here n complain.. buh wha do we do bout it? how many of us are active in the society? how many of us are actively doing parchar in our gurdwaras?

at the end of the day.. its her own choice... we as brothers and sisters should make an attempt to do some positive parchar in our society... in our gurdwaras.. so as to educate locals on what sikhi is... thats our 'farz'...

remember.. not everybody is meant to follow the path of sikhi...

now lets focus on our own sikhi first...

Now Jkaur, please enlighten me on what you mean by your comment just now...why do you say that these kalus are much higher beings than us punjabi boys that we are unable to treat our women right.

URMM did i say that I FEEL that indian guys treat punjabi gals better ???

what i meant was that these gals CLAIMS that they go into the relationship with this indian guys coz they treat em better then PUNJABI GUYS.. either i did not make my self clear in my post or either you were just jumping without reading my post... Either ways.. i hope i make myself very clear now!
