Sehaj is an advanced state of realization, peace, bliss, calmness, poise defy its description. It can only be attained through naam.

Read this article "A Guide to Naam - Simran". Touches on the basics of the stages. We usually refer to Sehaj as "Sehaj Avastha". Its a state one reaches as they jap naam. Its a stage of being absolutely absorbed and being balanced. Sehaj Avastha is state when person who feels no happiness upon gaining materialistic things in this world or status, also feels no sadness upon loosing any materialistic things or social status in this world. Sehaj Avastha when person's state is samh (steady and free from materialistic happiness and sadness).

sehajai no sabh lochadhee bin gur paaeiaa n jaae ||
Everyone longs to be centered and balanced, but without the Guru, no one can.

This entire shabad is about sehaj. Read the gurmukhi. This shabd requires alot of vichaar so read with sehaj and you'll find what you're looking for.

A really good description of Sehaj and the meaning of the word and its roots
