Fateh parwaan karro jiyo,

Again there is an article in today's HT, Chandigarh that all Deras of this sect have not agreed to what this specific Dera is mandating.

Point to be noted is that when they removed Guru ji (sorry of the terminology) from their Dera they removed Bani of Bhagat Ravidas too. Sikhs may have a problem with the Sect followers but not with Bhagat Ji.... this is what these fools (sorry but I could not control myslef) have not understood.

unnecessary quote removed

Ravidassia is a movement that started in British times. Bhagat Ravidas Jis oldest manuscript writings exist within the Guru Granth Sahib. Its a raj inspired movement that was founded by a guy named Mangoo Ram. Kabirpanthis have been around before Sikhism, but the whole concept of Ravidassia is a new thing. Where are you getting the idea that all low caste Sikhs are miraculously become Ravidas. Even if they do convert they will still be abused. The poorest person in India has the same status the poorest person in Pakistan.

What if come tomorrow the dera sacha sauda or noormahalia declares itself to be separate religion.Wouldnt sikhs become small minority in punjab.

Granted they have substantial followers but its likely they exaggerate their numbers. The large influx of migrant workers and the exodus of indiginous Punjabi Sikhs could possibly lead to a Sikh minority in Punjab. May be this is what the 'powers that be' want.

Sant Niranjan Dass, disciples return

Security beefed up

Tribune News Service

Jalandhar, February 1

Scores of disciples led by Sant Niranjan Dass, head, Dera Sachkhand Ballan, reached Jalandhar railway station on Monday afternoon after declaring a separate religion -- Ravidass Dharm -- for their community at Seer Gowardhanpur in Banaras. They were given a warm welcome by members of the Ravidass community on reaching here in Begampura Express.

Earlier tension prevailed in the city between members of the Samaj Bachao Morcha (SBM) and Ambedkar Sena when the SBM convener objected to the creation of a separate religion for the Ravidass community. At a formal press conference at the Press Club here, SBM convener Gian Chand said the members of the Ravidass community were not bound to accept the decision to create a separate religion taken in Banaras, the birthplace of Guru Ravidass on his birth anniversary.

When Ambedkar Sena activists came to know about the SBM press conference, they reached outside the Press Club and started raising slogans against the SBM and in favour of the Ravidass community.

At this, the district administration deployed heavy security force, including riot control vehicles, near the Press Club in order to avoid any untoward incident.

Later security was also beefed up at Jalandhar city railway station as the Ravidass followers led by Sant Niranjan Dass were about to arrive here from Banaras in Begampura Express. Almost all district police officials led by SSP RK Jaiswal were seen supervising the security arrangements.

While the creation of the separate religion Ravidass Dharm was announced at Banaras, the community will also have its own religious book, Amrit Bani Guru Ravidass and a separate symbol, Hari.

Ravidassis led by Dera Sachkhand Ballan decided to create a separate religious identity for the community after the Vienna firing incident in which Sant Niranjan Dass was wounded whereas his deputy, Sant Ramanand, was killed in May last year.

Jassa veer do you know that JATTS are NOT a high caste. They are just influential because they became powerful after fall of Mughals and due to converting to Sikhi in large numbers during Misl period they became masters of Punjab. Outside Punjab Jatts are not at top of Society where Thakurs and Ranas are traditional high castes. A long time back there was move to classify Jatts as OBC (other backward classes) by Union Govt but they didnt do it. SO EVERYONE STOP TAKING OUT YOUR FRUSTRATION ON JATTS ON ONE PRETEXT OR THE OTHER.

The lines quoted by Jassa prove nothing. Jatts are not Kashtriyas (Khatri in Punjabi). And Shudras are not Chammar but 'Valmikis' . Shudras were at the lowest catagory of society in Ancient India who sweeped and cleaned streets and houses. They did cleaning Garbage jobs which is still done by Valmikis in cities and CHURE in villages. Chure are closest to Shuder and next Valmikis. Ravidasi fall under 'Vaishya' caste which did jobs connected with tools i.e making shoes from leather. Use of word Chura is banned in India and you can get imprisoned for six months. So if anyones is to rule Delhi it will be Valmikis and i dont see it happening in any time in near future as most Valmikis are members of Bajrang Dal, a militant wing of RSS and are still under Hindu fold. Ravidasi are Chamaar. They are a low caste but not the lowest.

A true Ravidasi is always a Sikh of Guru Granth Sahib. Period. And if anyone is to rule it is 'Khalsa' which comprises all or no castes.

Why make it jatt vs chammar ... i havent even used word jatt in my posts ??? Why do jatts feel bad when they are told the truth that majority of them in punjab are treating lower castes people even verse then done by brhamins in punjab ... its hardly to find a village in punjab today where there is a same gurdwara of jatts and chammers ... every one should give a visit back to punjab and see how many gurdwaras are there in their village and who created ... This problem is ignored for years and it has shown bad results and we are ignoreing it even today what would be the possible outcome ... because when someone says jatts the majority in punjab villages are responsible for treating lower caste peoples in village then people take it as attack on themself and as anti-jatt propoganda because they are doing it ...

and there are no vaish brhaman and shuder in sikhism ... guru sahib made us kashatriya ... every shasterdhari is a kashatriya ... thats why singh name was adopted ... char varran ek varran karau vaheguru singhan te naam jappau ... i would make four castes in one that is shasterdhari khashtriya ...

A true Ravidasi is always a Sikh of Guru Granth Sahib. Period. And if anyone is to rule it is 'Khalsa' which comprises all or no castes.

a true jatt a true ravidasia a true bhapa or anyone can never be a true sikh ...

and saying that there is no problem of caste system in sikhi is the biggest ignoreance one can have as a sikh ... jiddan kabutar billi nu dekh ke akhan band kar lainda ke koi billi nahi ayyi ohhi hall hai ... jaat paat de influnce nu sikhich dekh ke akhan band kar lao ke sikhich koi jaat paat hai hi nahi ... and if someone speaks out people call him so ur anti jatt ...

See this video and every one is free to take this video as one of the following

1.Showing the biggest problem in sikhism today and try and do something

2.Work of RSS or congress

3.Anti Jatt video

4.Ignore it

5.a fake video such things dont happen

its totaly upto us ...

Majority of the Ravidasia Deras are not in agreement with Dera Ballan on its new religion decleration. Seems the Dera Ballan overeacted and if you aks me ultimately this Dera will relent and repent.

Guru Ravidass sampradaye rejects separate religion

Dharmendra Joshi and Amaninder Pal

Tribune News Service

Raipur Rasulpur (Jalandhar), February 3

In a significant development, the Sri Guru Ravidass Sadhu Sampradaye Society, Punjab, has rejected the separate religion for the community declared by Dera Sachkhand Ballan at Seer Gowardhanpur in Banaras a few days back.

The president of the sampradaye, Sant Nirmal Dass, informed mediapersons soon after a brainstorming session of the representatives of different deras at Raipur Rasulpur village on Wednesday that the separate religion declared for the Ravidass community might be a personal decision of a particular trust.

Sant Nirmal Dass further said the matter of creation of a separate religion for the Ravidass community was not even discussed with the representatives of the Sant Samaj and other representatives of the community. “A single trust or Dera has no right to announce a separate religion for the entire community,” he added.

Going one step further, Sant Nirmal Dass said the already existing maryada at religious places of the Ravidass community should be continued instead of adopting the new one announced by Dera Ballan.

Sant Nirmal Dass said Guru Granth Sahib should again be placed at those religious places of the Ravidass community where Amrit Bani Guru Ravidass had been placed after the declaration of the new religion.

Earlier SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar also reportedly held parleys with several representatives of the Ravidass community in view of the recent developments during his visit to Jalandhar on Wednesday.

Varinder Singh adds from Amritsar: The Sri Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampardaye Society and Sant Samaj Bachao Morcha have asserted that they will continue to hold Parkash of Guru Granth Sahib in gurdwaras related to Guru Ravidass.

On the other hand, the SGPC chief Avtar Singh has appealed to the Ravidassia community to ignore any appeals seeking severing of relations by members of the Ravidassia community with the Sikhs.

“Since Guru Arjan Dev had included the baani of Guru Ravidass in Guru Granth Sahib, the entire Sikh world holds his bani parallel to that of the other Sikh Gurus. The Ravidassia community should ignore any appeals to divide the two communities,” said Avtar Singh after holding a meeting with leaders of the Sri Guru Ravidass Sadhu Sampardaye Society and Sant Samaj Bachao Morcha. The SGPC chief and leaders of the Ravidassia community held serious discussions here today as to how to prevent any further rift between the two communities.

Dera Ballan are just trying to create controversy by acting as if they are spokesmen for the whole Ravidass community. What they want is for Sikhs to vocalise discontent and condemn the Ravidass community at large in order to create division by alienating them so they think they have no option but to have a seperate religion. Also, why not open the headquarters at Ballan? They've opted for U.P as they have a large pool of potential followers who can then swamp Punjab.

Much credit due to those leaders in the Ravidass community for condemning Dera Ballans actions.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
