Sikhs and new Ravidassia movement

At some point the SGGS will be removed from some UK temples as the new amrit bani will eventually be the focual point for some ravidas temples as the ravidas suk sagar has its own morning, evening prayers and own wedding lavaan, It is already happening in some Bhawans/Gurdwaras such as in Bradford.

Also the birthday celebrations of Satguru Ravidas is celebrated as gurprub Akhand Paath. Where the SGGS is present it is respected through normal Sikhi worship? but how long will this last? As the dera encourages and formalises the new movement in other gurdwaras/bhawans.

Members of the community are divided as they still want to be part of Sikh community and have SGGS, however the Dera has twisted some of the beliefs, some members of the community are rebelling against Sikhs. https://twitter.com/RavidassiaTimes.

It's half at the moment. Some Gurdawaras are called Sikh temples others Bhawans. This man is really bad.

Such hipocrosy and no one mentions the discrimination they do against the Mazabhi Sikhs and Hindus.

This guy was talking sense. We are in the day and age where People are educated in the UK and equal.

What has caste have to do with this issue? Whether they have separated from sikhi or not, why attach a particular caste? It's like if an issue arose with the American sikhs, someone would try and put it down to caste with them too lol. It's so irrelevant.

They are from the chamar caste and using their caste as the issue But the whole community is currently divided.

It is not old news and quite worrying that some Sikhs are not concerned and the impact on the youth.

The Dera have ordered the SGGS to removed and replaced by Amrit Bani. However not everybody is agreeing to this. I couldn't believe the Lavan has been replaced and even in the pattern copied from Sikhi Lavan

Some of the internet messages including twitter are concerning e.g. spreading the word that Satguru Ravidas was Guru Nanaks guru.

The Amrit Bani contains 240 shabads of Satguru Ravidas and again comments have been made that only 40 shabads are in SGGS and the whole bani is in Amrit Bani.

I'm against the caste system i just don't understand why these people started their own religion....I guess its lack of parchar

Coming from the same background as them I believe they really are going down the wrong path especially coming up with their own Amritbani. They're uniting on sociological, political, and economcial issues rather than a path that leads to Vaheguru. Going away from Guru Sahib is a big mistake. I hope this makes my Sikh brothers and sisters realize the importance of Amrit and those who haven't taken it yet will work and prepare themselves to walk on Gurus path.
