Guest Justsaysikhokay?

why do you focus on them??? Everybody knows they are doing wrong ........and they are those people who believe in dera ballan...dera ballan guiding its community in way...They know it themselevs even but they are living in "chudhaa ankaar and fokki Anakh....

Many dalits had embraced sikh in past ...and they still say" proud to be sikh"...and they want to be with it forever.. ( I am one of them )
"
people who considered themseleves as" Ravidassia" are those people who do not have any religion ..They never had any religion ..They were coming like "gwaachi Maaj" and in 2009 ..dera ballan decided to gather such people and formed a false religion...even they already know they are degrading the bani of great Bhagat Ravdiass ji...

ravidassian secterians are a big problem they side with their brahmin hindu masters of shiv sena in punjab used like dogs that they are. The Sri Akal Takht needs to make a clear stand against these extremists and make Sikhs aware of the haterd and anti-sikh things they are doing on social media. People like RavidassiaTimes on twitter who is used by the Indian govt pay masters to malign our people.

Ravidassia singhs "dalits" make up the majority of Singhs FACT but dont get treated like 1 equal khattri jatt sikh yes you guys can say they differ this and that, but they have contributed alot to sikhism, from bhagats to icons that will forever live on 1 example BEANT SINGH the guy who got revenge for all SIKHS but no one really speaks about him because of him coming from a Chamar background yes the ravidassia times twitter feed is full of nonsense that doesnt mean all ravidassis are like that? its like saying General brar and his antics and him being a proud jatt sikh, all jatt sikhs are like him? are they?(fingers crossed no) i know people reading this are firing up inside but lets face it amritdhari or not how many people do help the oppressed castes and accept them and help them and now jatt farmers are struggling its got everyones mouths moving FACE IT we messed up in expressing equality between all castes and even now you keyboard babbar sheres are on about watch out for them blah blah either way who is watching when muslims are grooming (something much more important) if the sikhs accepted the dalit castes SIKHS would have punjab with a lock and key instead you see fellow singh brothers demanding justice through starving themselves which still dont work Sorry if i offended anyone im just extremely upset how us guys as a sikh nation are just on the decline with no unity and worrying about social media feeds rather than then reality of what sikhs are going through on a day to day basis worldwide we need to make our people come back to sikhi and not become christians etc etc.

Though I don't accept your assessment of Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh ( as I have seen calendar after calendar bearing his esteemed picture, as well as celebration of their Shaheedi on many Gurdwara stages) - you speak a very telling truth.

Your contribution above is a true, bitter & painful pill to swallow. But swallow it we must, as without the medicine of this truth that we are not, as a panth walking forward together as one family, then we are not moving forward at all.

The situation in Punjab is complex, paradoxical, hypocritical, and messed up all in one. But what Akaal Purakh Maharaj does, does for good, and I firmly believe that the whole Khedd through Dera Ballan is His doing to wake us up and make us at last acknowledge that we Sikhs are not living upto true Sikhi.

All I'm going to suggest us what can we do here in the West to start making a stand against anti-Sikh caste bigotry?

We must start taking positive actions not just in our only daily lives but also in our collective institutions.

Guru ji made an eternal statement by including Bani from so many inspirational Bhagat Jeevs so that we bow down at their feet too when we now to Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji.

Satguru Ji embraced all so called castes as one when He created the Khalsa.

It will be beautiful statement to see tiar bar tiar Gursikhs of all backgrounds leading the Nagar Kirtans this year and in all years- that will be a bold statement against caste & the bigots.

I know some Guru Piare will see this as a regressive step, as we shouldn't even recognise caste. Unfortunately 300 years after our father eradicated it from our blood, it is still embedded in many Sikhs' DNA. If we can't accept thus truth, we can't break caste & send it into the oblivion it deserves.

Please Saadh Sangat ji, it is a humble benti, lets start cutting ourselves from the shackles of caste slavery one simple but effective step at a time.

From Punjabi songs, to divided Gurdwaras- it's all got to be dismantled one problem at a time. And the reality is that if we as Sikh feel we're treated as second class citizens by the Indian state and they are ignored decade after decade then we feel wronged and have been wronged.

Similarly if our Dalit heritage brothers and sisters feel that their treatment by fellow Sikhs is not acceptable, and that there is an unacceptable delay in seeing progress, then we are not being humble as the Sikh if Sahib Sri Guru Nanan Dev ji should to take their hands and walk in their shoes so that we too can feel their pain until that pain is firmly uprooted.

SatGuru ji apne is nirale panth ute kirpa rakhan.

Rab rakha!

You have stated many truths, sikhi is indeed fragmented into caste supremacy divisions, the Ravidassia religion is a direct result of this and now many people within sikhi are pointing their fingers at other organisations which may have infiltrated the Ravidassia community rather than lookin internally at what we as so calle sikhs have done and what we have taken guru nanaks Nirmal panth. I hate the titles chamar sikh, jatt sikh ramgarhia sikh etc, the sooner we can drop these titles the sooner we will just simply be sikh.

@Ek Moorakh, @sikhiseeker

thank you fellow veers for your replies, the caste topic comes up to much on sikhsangat and im sure the moderators and fellow users have had enough of it, but sometimes the truth needs to be stated @ekmoorakh regarding Shaheed Beant Singh yes i do see where your coming and yes i do agree with your view but they wouldnt mention for example if he was from a leather maker family or something where as you would hear a million times this shaheed or great Singh was a jatt sikh farmer or something along those lines.. how fair is it to slander human beings who have no control of what caste they are born in and have topic titles like ravidasi singhs? thats taking the chutni and the samosa, there is no need for a question mark these so called low castes did stand up and give their head, take amrit become Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh JI,Maharaaj roop and then they are not accepted in CERTAIN Gurdwareh they still be slandered or allowed in seperate door then you realise why all castes not just ravidassi have seperate gurdwara in UK, USA, Canada etc, im from UK and diffferent gurdwareh around every corner IT IS CRAZY!! all because of EGO and other factors, you have to be that caste to be part of the commitee to try make a change ITS PURE MADNESS PS im not pro chamar ravidassi or anything else im a nobody with just my thoughts"imthedustofyourfeet" Fighting each other doesnt solve anything, we need to stick together as one! we need to show the world the Warrior race not the 21st century nindiya race. im sorry you must all think im so negative but their are GREAT people in our kaum! too and one day we will rule! but its all about numbers in my eyes we need to be spreading sikhi not knocking people down when they are allready down! please put your hand over my head and forgive me if i have said anything insulting just remeber there are more important things to worry about not fellow sikhs who still get discriminated against PS the moderator/s of that twitter page they will face the double edged sword all in good time Sadh Sangat Bhul Chak Maaf Karni,

WAHEGURU JI KHA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KHI FATEH

I believe our Sikh leaders are not doing enough for Sikhi. The downfall of Sikhi and Sikhs segregating into groups is the fault of our Sikh leaders. The Chamar community are a large part of Sikh community, (SORRY FOR USING CASTE BUT NO OTHER WAY TO EXPLAIN). Great Sikhs from their community have sacrificed and contributed to Sikhism. They have played a major role in Sikhism but due to caste discrimination certain Sikhs are not giving them respect.

Dera Ballan and similar groups have moved away from Sikhi but I'm sure one day will return. They at the moment are taking advantage of brainwashing youth to follow their new religion.

We Sikhs need to unite all our Sikh brothers and sisters like how our Sikh Bhagats/Gurus did.

Dera Ballan does not represent all chamar community but only a minority, mainly based in Doaba region. Chamar from other regions are firm believers of Sikhism.

The ones who are confused which side they belong to are a minority. Just because of a few bad ravidassis we can't label the majority who respect and honour Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as their Guru.

We should treat all Sikhs equally regardless of which caste they belong to, that is what Guru Gobind Singh Ji did for us, he united us all together so why have caste in Sikhism, this really means we aren't real Sikhs if we follow castes.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
