If you go on some of these Hindu extremist facebook pages, they claim that 35 thousand Hindus were killed during the 80s.

Lol did these people pull that number out of their bum?

From what I've seen it is a couple hundred MAX

Please let me know if there any "sources" to these outlandish claims.

Since the partition 1947 these hindu leaders have dwelled endlessly on the sufferings of hindus under muslim conquests and tried to aggravate popular resentments to consolidate their following since then. In the same strategy now they are trying to slander us & generate negative publicity of us.

If these hindu fanatics are claiming so, they should better ask Cong I & Government of india who created 3rd agency during 1980s which coordinated with intelligence agencies, RAW, IB, CBI & which formed alam sena, virk sena, and inducted black-cats who were in the guise of Sikhs who carried out their masters orders to kill, murder, bomb blasts, blow up AI flight 182, rape, kidnap, etc all the non-Sikhs so as to malign, disrepute, discredit & blame us the Sikh community & the movement as a whole.

35000?! Really? Its like they went with the first number they thought of. Its the nazi thinking that if you exaggerate something to an extreme, over time people come to accept its irrationality as the reality.

In the 80's, every murder in punjab was made out to be linked to sikhs. Its a fact that in punjab the majority of murders are linked to land/property disputes. Second to that is traffic related. But apparently in the 80s everyone was hunky dory, drove perfectly and the only murderers were the sikhs.

This is an extremely over inflated figure and a shameless lie. This does not only include Hindus, but also Sikhs, Punjab police(also Sikhs!), and even more so any other murder(not related to Khalistan movement) that occurred in Punjab during the 80s-90s. I would still be interested in knowing how they came to the 35k figure. I saw an anti khalistani website which listed all cases where Hindus were killed and the figure was only in the hundreds at most! Surely if it was in the tens of thousands they would have documented it in detail as Sikhs/Khalistanis have who did suffer casualty figures in the tens of thousands.

ISI wanted Sikh militants to ethnically cleanse Punjab of Punjabi Hindus as the Kashmiri militants had done in Kashmir, but the Sikh militants refused and never did this because this was not their vision of Khalistan nor was this according to Sikh traditions. That is why Hindus remain in Punjab to this day while none remain in Kashmir. Secondly, the notorious 'black cats' of Punjab police who were an anti insurgency measure committed most of these crimes in order to destroy support of Khalistan movement among the Punjabis. One can literally write a book on the role of the third agency and black cats during the Khalistani movement.

Those Shiv Sena radicals too are putting out false info about how Sikh militants targeted buses full of Hindus..etc. It's bunch of lies by the gov and RSS to destroy Sikh's image in Punjab. When the whole country media is against Sikhs fighting for injustice they will spit venom of course and that's what happened throughout the 80's and 90's and sadly it still happens today to us.
