Camp Ik Jot: One Light

Camp Ik Jot is a program for young and newly married Sikh couples to strengthen their relationship and think about next 40-50 years together.

When: Labor Day Weekend: Saturday August 30th to Monday Sept 1, 2014

Where: Outside of San Antonio, TX (CTI Educational Center, Scenic Oaks, TX)

Who: Camp Ik Jot is geared towards those who have been married for twelve years or less. Sessions will be facilitated by Dr. G.P Singh and other sangat members.

Cost: $350 per couple. This includes food, two nights lodging (a private room with a private, attached full bathroom), transportation to and from airport, and training materials. Please note that you are more than welcome to come early and stay few days with local Sikh families.

Details: Participants will have the change to hear new perspectives from other couples and understand the Gurus vision on marriage. Camp Ik Jot provides a reflective, collaborative environment that allows retreaters to develop their relationship with their spouse and the Guru through activities, workshops and discussions. Topics range from family relationship building, spiritual development, and practical marital advice.

Couples will also have the opportunity to explore questions such as:

What do we make our love grow over time?

How do we make our marriage last a lifetime?

How do we balance work and life?

How do we resolve conflicts and still love each other?

What does it Sikhi say about all this? Are there things we can learn from our Gurus?

Camp Ik Jot will also provide couples the chance to:

Develop solutions and action plans for your specific situation

Hear from a panel of Sikh couples who have been on this journey
