Non Amritdhari Weds Amritdhari?

I have 2 questions which I'm hoping someone in the Sangat can answer.

1. Is it okay if a Non Amritdhari weds an Amritdhari? I think it is okay because taking Amrit is a decision that someone makes for themselves. If an Amritdhari Singh weds a non Amritdhari girl, it is ok as long as she is vegetarian and does not drink or cut her hair.

2. If you are a student studying at Baru Sahib, are you required to take Amrit? I hear that it is not mandatory. I know of a girl who studied there and wears a keski but has not taken Amrit.

Please someone give an answer.

Thank you very much,

Answer to #1- Yes it is fine, but you should encourage for your partner to take amrit to make your guys spiritual bond stronger with Guru Granth Sahib ji. Yes, in my opinion if she is veg and doesn't cut her hair and does paat and is considering to chak amrit in the future, I see no problem in that. Keep Sikhi strong after anand karaj.

Answer to #2- You can go to Baru Sahib camp while being non-amritdhari.

The reason, why taking Khande Ke Pahul is vital is because we become Guru Wale by taking Amrit di Daat and keeping nitnem & rehit.

1. A person who has taken khande ki pahul, can only marry a person who has taken khande ki pahul. Otherwise, if the marriage proceeds and is consummated. The person who was amritdhari, very much becomes a patit. Needs to get pesh with spouse to get amrit again.

Idea a simple, a Guru wala cannot marry a bey-rehti/nigura(sehajdhari or whatever).

What if they become a Gursikh later on after they were married?

Bump, (I never got an answer to this question).

I would ask why that person wants to marry an amritdhari ? if not to become closer to Guru ji is it to take that person away from their rehit and make them patit? When they can answer that honestly one way or the other , they can go forward in Truth.

My question was someone finding Guru Sahib after they got married, not an Amritdhari marrying a non-Amritdhari who isn't interested in Rehat, but rather at their marriage neither of them care about Sikhi and eventually one of the two after marriage, one of them wants to be an Amritdhari.

They are already tied together spiritually if they have been blessed with Anand Karaj ... then they have to progress together even if the hopeful abhilakhee has to wait for their partner to catch up to the same stage , There is no point in going ahead of the other to amrit sanchar as if they try to continue in grisht jeevan the amritdhari will become patit (if you know what I mean) . The panj will ask the abhilakee where the partner is and why he/she is not there , then they will say came back with the partner otherwise they will make it clear if you still proceed that you will have to live as celibates within the marriage . My Nani waited in hukam for over sixty years then Guru ji did kirpa on Nana ji and they both became Khalsa . This did not hinder her as she lived in rehit whilst waiting , so was Nitnemi, did regular sehaj paats herself , even had partak darshan of Navin Patshah ji (she has passed on now) . Main thing is stay true to Guru ji ...and His Hukham

No one can say what is right and what is not right regarding question number 1.

It is the individuals journey and if it so happens that Guru Sahib has called on one party to take Amrit (Due to ones own actions, they are drawn either closer or further away from Vaheguru) who are we to say that it should not happen because the spouse is not ready? Who are we to say that the spouse may also take Amrit later on in life due to the Amrit being granted of the other partner?

I cant see how Guru Sahib can take a meal from a non related person (Sakhi) of a poor person against a rich mans food and then tell his disciples that both men and women are to be Amrithdari otherwise they cannot marry, or have each others jhoot and if they do, they have to do pesh etc - it does not make sense.

difference between Guru Sahiban and ourselves is so immense they are app parmeshvar , with kirpa drisht they can change a paapi akhiratghan to a sant brahmgiani.... whereas ourselves we can be swayed by bad sangat . When an abhilakee has amrit they break with all world ties and previous bad karams and give their all to Guru ji, however the nonamritdhari although can be very good, holy minded person has not given themselves fully to guru ji and have not broken with the world properly so is still nigurey as the diksha has not been given . We are supposed to keep away from nigurey and sakats as they can lead us astray with their dhils this is Guru ji's faisla on it
