First video presenter Gurdarshan dhillon is a hard core kala afghana follower.Such people are actors and not well wishers

of sikh panth.

Their main aim is to divide sikhs by creating phony issues.

Have you seen the the movie 'The matrix'? Maybe you never took the red pill which Neo chose.

Gurdarshan Singh has been supporting and visiting Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa since the early days of Bapu ji's hunger strike. Atleast he is doing something. If possible can you please give reference of some 'well wishers of sikh panth' who have well-wished and 'united the panth' recently?

General comment- I don't understand this empirical relationship in sikh community of the day. Educated people are ridiculed while completely uneducated people are given big self-made titles like bhramgyani, sant, etc. and followed blindly. Education is so underrated in sikhi today. Anpadhta is highly lauded. Well, there is no shortage of padhe like anpadh too.

Haven't seen a good orator like him in a while who speaks substance.

I have been listening to his videos the last few days with an open mind. He is a very Panthic minded person no doubt. He is claimed to be a historian. I'm not a scholar or anything but I like to read history. Listening to Dr Dhillon's videos I have noticed he makes a lot of historically inaccurate claims. Maybe semi literate people who are not knowledgeable in history might be impressed by Dhillon. In comparison I would say Dr Harjinder Singh Dilgeer who is also a hardcore Kala Afghanist minded person is much more accurate and credible in the field of history than this man.

As for his oratory skills, I feel our people too easily get impressed by smooth talking orators. Too much style yet too little substance is what is impressing our people.

Veerji can you please enligten lost and poor souls like me with some "educated" people you follow and listen to (any kathavachak, so called bhramgyani or so)? I would definitely advice you enrol in some university, get a first class degree, then go for masters, then a Phd. Maybe it will be helpful to you in understanding something called "education" then. I don't know if you do it out of sheer ignorance of sikhi or some motive but you put everybody who disagrees with your thinking, into "Kala Afghana" basket. Please watch "The matrix" and eat a blue pill veerji. Maybe you were wrong all these years. It maybe time to enter Morpheus's world. lol

Maybe its time someone needs to brush up their history knowledge. Can you point the inaccuracies? And how you conclude they are inaccurate? On one side you say you are not a scholar, but it takes a scholar to rebut another phd scholar (dr dhillon in this case). So either you just threw a free volley here, or you are actually quite learned in the subject. And please cite your sources too which you used to label him inaccurate.

Who do you get impressed with? Stephen hawkins or Neil deGrasse tyson must be the benchmark personalities to impress you. And again please provide us with atleast ONE name of someone who talks substance. Enlighten us veerji.

For open minded and rational people, here are some more videos of Dr. Dhillon:

I dont like to nit pick but since you're asking for it I'll tell you why. Sifting through some of his videos I notice he makes a lot of inaccurate claims. For example when trying to show how evil the Arya Samajis are he starts to claim that Satyarth Prakash which is the book written by Dayanand Sarasvati has a lot of Gali Galoch(profanities) about Guru Sahib. Now he probably knows most people don't even have the remotest idea who Dayanand Sarasvati is or what his book has contained in it about Sikhi or Sikh Gurus. So most of his audience will probably just swallow what he has said without questioning him. Well I have read most of it. And what Dayanand wrote in Satyarth Prakash is that he tried to show Guru Nanak Dev Jee was not educated because according to him ਨਿਰਭਉ in mool mantar should be written as ਨਿਰਭੈ/ਨਿਰਭਯ according to proper Sanskrit. No profanities(Gali Galoch) were used.

And I have also read parts of Prof Sahib Singh's Gurbani Vyakaran book. In it Prof Jee has shown through Gurbani Vyakaran why ਨਿਰਭਉ is correct as written by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee and why Nirbhae would have been incorrect. By systematically dissecting the issue, Prof Sahib Singh Jee ended up showing why Dayanand is the ignorant fool for questioning Guru Jee. Since you claim to have read that book Gurbani Vyakaran, you should know this.

Another instance Dhillon jee claims that Arya Samaj used to organised programs or seminars in which Sikhs would have their hair cut on stage in front of an audience of people during pre partition Punjab. Now if such an incident had occurred, it would have caused shock waves in the panth and would have been mentioned by some reputable historian. But it is not mentioned by any Sikh historian whether it be Harjinder Singh Dilgeer's multi volume book set on Sikh history or Dr Sangat Singh's Sikhs in history book or anyone else. Then from were he is making such a claim only he knows. I'm sure he made this claim because he wanted to convince the audience how anti Sikh they are, but he could have done that by telling it truthfully instead of making things up.

Another historical inaccurate claim he made was in one video he was trying to show how extensive his knowledge of world history is, he claimed that Hitler killed 8 million Jews even though the historic number is about 6 million. In the west even a school going child knows this. Now it could have been forgiven had it been someone like you or me, but when a historian makes such an inaccurate claim which otherwise is a well known fact, then it's hard to take this guy seriously.

I appreciate it that he's Panthic minded person. But when you are trying to make him out to be some kind of authority in the field of historical studies then you really do him disservice to be honest.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
