40 Days Prayer

Wahegur ji da khalsa, waheguru ji dii fateh.

In India I visited gurudwara for continuously 40 days and my wish came true. But right now I am in small town of U.S.A where, there is no gurudwara. So is there anyvthing or path I can do. I have some problems in my life.

Also mt friend suggested me to do dukhmani sahib path. But he said there are different paths for different problems like he said you have to chant 108 times for 40 days. So please give suggestions

There is no such limits in our dharam to recite certain paat (prayer) for this or that many days. Sikhi encourage you to understand the meaning of gurbani (guru's word) and apply that in our life in practical form. Sukhmani sahib bani brings sukh in your life... certain bani sets your mood according to that.. When i am very tensed, i prefer to listen to sukhmani sahib. Also, I don't ask for anything from god. However, I ask (pray/ardas) from him to give me power to accept whatever god gives to me - dukh and/or sukh.

But what about 108times chanting of shabs?

Great!! There is a granth called shardha puran granth which list different banis for obtaining x y z. Do a Google search and it is easily obtained online. If you have any trouble locating it or understanding it. Just ask and i can help you.

I am tensed about my father. Some money problem at my home. We cant handle anymore. So I want to settle my life as soon as possible. For that I want to do path. Like I am from bathinda and there is killa gurudwara there and I visited almost everyday and wish came true. But here I cant visit gurudwara so want to do path.Please suggest some path.
