Why There Are Fishes In Gurdwara Sarovers?

I'm guessing they're there to consume the algae and aquatic insects that would come to predominate if not for them. They keep the sarovar clean.

They're also very beautiful animals.

They add to the Beauty of Harmandir sahib for sure.

I wonder what happens to these fish during Kar seva when they clean the full Sarovar.

I asked a katha vachak and he gave me the same answer.

I thought it was to teach us to stayed emersed in Naam 24/7 just like a fish eats, sleep, lives in water. so much so what after this life we will still keep that connection afterwards.

A sish does this so well that even if someone killed it and ate it the person would thirst for water more than other foods. Unlimatly the fish would still be one with water even after all that tourture.
