Woman Dies After 'incident' Outside Sikh 'temple'

A woman died after a fracas at the Sikh Temple in Springwood, Huddersfield.

It is believed she collapsed inside the Temple after being involved in an incident involving another woman outside moments earlier.

Police confirmed a 48-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

They said the victim was aged 46.

Police sealed off the Sikh Temple in Prospect Street for several hours after the incident which began around 1pm.

Several people at the scene said they understood the woman had collapsed and died in the kitchens inside the Temple.

Police from West Yorkshires Serious Crimes unit launched an investigation.

Its not too difficult and time consuming for him. He has that same anti-Mohammed stuff at the ready 24 hours a day. He carries it around with him everywhere he goes, because you never know when you're going to encounter an anti-mohamed emergency.

Seriously though, the news story is very sad but all a bit vague and its difficult to figure out what actually happened. Anyone from that part of the world with any updates ?

So basically the 46year old woman who died has been named as Harjinder Kaur Sidhu whos infact 41years old. She had an argument (dont know if it got physical) with a 70year old bibi. She then went inside the gurdwara to get her langer. A committee member questioned her as to why she had spoken to the 70year old woman the way she had. Harjinder then flung her taal with its langer at the man. The man restrained her, dont know if he held her down or hit her. An ambulance was called, she died whilst being treated.

The man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He is now out on bail.

There's a lesson in there for all of us isn't there ?

I suppose the lesson is that the Gurdwara is for reflections about God rather than a place to conduct your petty arguments.

If you think about, one person is dead and another in jail simply because of a petty and pointless little verbal spat that took place in a Gurdwara.

Sad story. I'm sure all of those involved, when they decided to visit the Gurdwara that day, never thought the day would end that way.

Poor woman, while what she did was pretty stupid, the man trying to restrain her should have let her go, unless she was causing a ruckus in the Gurudwara. Don't understand why people do stuff like that at a Gurudwara.
