https://m.facebook.com/Encounters-Collective-1548308148780353/ this page has got recordings of Malhi saying that Modi is good to talk to because he hasn't killed Sikhs and that going to Wembley party on his own was kirpa and for the Sikh prisoners. He tries to justify using his dastar as a photo object at the beck and call of his hindutva masters as well.

Geezers sick in the head and represents us? Smh....

Yes , but who put Malhi into the position he is in ? The sangat of Southall and members of Singh Sabha Gurdwara.

The fault is within our own sangats, why do they elect such people into positions of power where they think they then represent the Sikh community.

The same can be said of Badal in Punjab. Who voted for him and put him into power ? The people of Punjab.

Until people stop selling out their votes cheaply for bottles of whiskey etc this won't change.

I've said it time and again, our problems are our own making because we really are extremely poorly educated compared to the Hindus and Muslims. And I'm deliberately mentioining Muslims there because as any doctor or hospital worker in the UK knows our hospitals are choc a block full of hijab wearing muslim girls who have become doctors. The Pakistanis really do value the sciences alot.

We though, have a very serious problem on our hands and though its showing now its gonna become even more clearer within the next 15-20 yers because so many Sikh youngsters are getting into Sikhi because of popular parcharaks but those popular parcharaks actually blatantly tell the youngsters that the only importnt thing is to learn to do path etc. They actively tell the youngsters that education is just an afterthought that doesn't really matter that much in the bigger scheme of things. We've seriously got big problems coming our way.

And its all relevant to the issue about Malhi and Southall Singh Sabha Gurdwara because the problem there stems directly from a lack of education....lack of political know-how etc. I'll tell you what I mean: Any of you who live in west London will know how the Southall Singh Sabha elections operate in the exact same way the elections in Punjab operate, i.e through mob rule, intimidation and corruption. Total mayhem at election time. Our dads and uncles are forced, intimidated, co-erced and driven to the elections. It is total madness.

Lack of education by the young because the young could, if they knew how, understand that the Gurdwara is a registered charity and such voting tactics need to be reported to the charity commission for investigation and ultimate sanction.

So yes, our leaders, such as Malhi are exrement. But thats only because we're exrement too. A people get the leaders they deserve.

i would agree with u except for muslims being more educated. Those hijabi girls havent even been uni and plus u look at paki boys they arent even employed. Our lot exceed these lot in nearly every single field.

You'd be surprised mrggg123. There's a great deal of difference between perception and reality. What I mean by that is that we shouldn't be viewing the Taliban Afganistan's view about women and education as the norm among Muslims. It is anything but. The reality is that they place an incredibly high value in the sciences and that is very much reflected in the extremely high number of hijabi young girls qualifying as doctors etc. The study of things like science etc is very much part of their religious traditions.

It should be part of ours too. Our Gurus took us out of the darkness and since then men have taken us back into it. Just to give you an example our religious leaders who wrote the rehat maryada before this current one was written and approved somewhere between 1920 and 1950, had ordered in that previous maryada that it is against the Sikh religion for any Sikh to study foreign languages especially Farsi. Now think about that for a moment. We are supposed to follow in our Guru's footsteps and our Guru studied and mastered the beautiful language of Farsi and yet up until fairly recently our parcharaks were telling us its a sin to study it and our official code of conduct was telling us we would be sinners if we did. This is what I mean by how man is taking us back into the darkness our Gurus got us out from. Our parcharks today are doing exactly the same thing because they regard success as being able to make the highest number of people possible become amritdhari. All of them know nothing about education because all of them dropped out of education at a young age and went to religious school under the tutilage of a previous parcharak master or, especially in the case of the homegrown UK parcharks, bunked off school regularly to spend their time in the Gurdwara learning baja and shabads. Education in the traditional sense means nothing to them and they care not one bit about the long term damage that will be done to the Sikhs when we have a whole generation of poorly educated people. All the parcharaks say is important is becoming amritdhari, learning to pronounce Gurbani correctly and doing path.

Don't kid yourself my friend. We Sikhs in the UK are extremely badly educated and we're getting worse. Thats why we take 100,000 on our human rights marches every year and achieve nothing but the Hindus and Muslims are educated enough to understand that all it takes is getting an extra 7 to 10 extra local members in the local political party and you then have direct access to political power. Thats why right wing Hindu MPs represent our Sikh constituencies. Thats why Pakistanis have become MPs in their dozens and even cabinet minsters and that why the capital city of the earth is about to get a Pakistani Mayor.

Our level of education in comparison is already terrible and its about to get alot worse in the next ten years.

still dont think thats true.. most sikhs i know go to uni and most paks i knw dont even finish school, or if they go uni they go for laugh to a crap uni, I dono where ur getting this info from. Why are sikhs the most likely to own their own home, be educated and also not be on benefits. compare this with paks and its the complete opposite they still livin in ghettos like 70s only wanting to be the next ali drug dealer. its not perception as I have seen it with my own eyes. Im nt having a pop at u veera but dont think that we should emulate these idiots. The paks your thinking of are in southall who are punjabi make up like 10 percent of UK pak population go up north and east london and youll see real halat.

I got one good example for you, Jagraj singh went oxford and got a 2.1 and hes doing just great so it can be done. He also balances his time out well, you need a good balance. When I was at uni most people were either gujus or sikhs. And I know a lot of sikh girls who did science degrees like biomed etc. The ones your talking about just want to work as basic nurses not look for cures in science as they say it sall written in the quaran. Just go up north and u can see for yourself whos reli exceeding in education. Ofcourse if a sikh wants to follow guruji they wont listen to crap about nt studying languages ive never herd so much crap in my life. most sikhs learn spanish etc at school as well as punjabi and get good grades. Paks only wana learn arabic and thats it.

Maybe we are bad with politics but in education sikhs are doing well we dont wana end up as criminals do we. I mean if u go sikh soc uni there are plenty of amridharis who manage the society, do their religious duties and come out with a good degree.

I ain't going to lie: these dads and uncles sound like complete pu55ies.

What kind of people are these? They sound like the type someone could easily round up and and incinerate in large ovens without too much trouble.

You sound like a Norwegian or Dane that has not got the slightest bit of experience or inkiling about Sikh / Punjabi attitudes towards elections, i.e how they are conducted in Punjab, Southall, Surrey or Toronto.

Just out of interest, what is your background and which area of the UK are you from ?

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
