MYSTERY IN NAME “WAHEGURU”

Today many truth seeking Sikhs are confused and lost over name of WAHEGURU written only few times in their scriptures.

Some Sikhs says this is combination of Wahe - wonderful, awe-inspiring. Gu - dark gooey attachment ,Roo - a (liberating) ray of light.

Some Sikhs say that it is combination of

W - Wishnu (Vishnu)
H - Hari
G - Gobind
R – Ram

Some believe that it is a name of HUKAM and other believe that it is Gurumantra.

Gurbani Scripture tells us that there is only One name of Creator, which is not mentioned in Vedas written in Sanskrit.

Look in Guru Granth sahib: Ang 0876

ਕੋਈ ਪੜਤਾ ਸਹਸਾਕਿਰਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੜੈ ਪੁਰਾਨਾ

Koee Parrathaa Sehasaakirathaa Koee Parrai Puraanaa;

Koi Sanskrit Parda hai te koi Veda de Puraanaa Parda

ਕੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਜਪਮਾਲੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਧਿਆਨਾ ॥

Koi Naam Japai Japamaalee Laagai Thisai Dhhiaanaa;

Koi mala jap ke te koi dhian/meditation laga ke naam japda.

ਅਬ ਹੀ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ

Ab hee kab hee kishoo najana tera Eko naam Pashana;

Par mein eh sab kush nahi janda. Mein taan sirf tera ek naam janda haan.

Gurbani clearly mentions that There is only one name of creator which can not be found in Sanskrit Vedas. This name can not be known by chanting hindu vedic/budhist/jain, mantra or meditations or by dropping beads( maala japna).

Ek onkar also confirms that there is only one creator.

Despite not knowing the true meaning of this holy name WAHEGURU every sikh very diligently and reverently call upon this name.

Tenth Guru very boldly used this name with slogan WAHEGURU ji ka Khalsa WAHEGURU ji ki Fateh.

Means Kadosh (Holy) and righteous belong to WAHEGURU and WAHEGURU is always victorious. (Righteous means right with creator in their actions)

WAHEGURU is not written in a Punjabi, Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish or any worldly language.

No body can know the true meaning of name of creator WAHEGURU until and unless he/she has knowledge of HEBREW language.

Hebrew language is most ancient language spoken all over earth before Babylon was in existence. This is also called divine language.

Gurmukhi is a language which is spoken from the mouth of Guru. Guru here is the source, not servant. Gurbani tells that Pawan is Guru meaning Holy Spirit which exists like a wind (pawan guru pani pita). Scriptures confirm that Holy spirit is Guru.

WAHEGURU is the name of the creator of heaven and earth and creator of every soul and spirit

WAHEGURU in spiritual sense means WAHE is GURU

WAHE is combination of two Hebrew letters Waw and Hay. Waw is the sixth letter and Hay is the fifth letter in Hebrew.

Why these two letters are used in WAHEGURU.

In Hebrew scriptures four letters are used for the name of creator.

With very humble heart I pray to our creator to grant me permission to write his Kadosh( Holy) name here. Hebrews write the name of creator with great reverence.

Here are Four letters used to write the name of creator in modern hebrew script.

Yod-Hay-Waw-Hay

Yod is 10^th letter signifies working hand of creator in action. Yod is masculin nature of creator.

Hay is the Shekina (glory) of creator. Hay feminine nature of creator. This is also called Ruach-Ha kodesh or holy spirit. This is teacher or Guru. It exists on earth like a pawan or wind.

Waw is the incarnation of creator existed in time and now existing as eternal/immortal Purakh or Akal-Purakh. In Hebrew Scripture he called Salvation. In Gurmakhi salvation is known as Gati.( please note this is not reincarnation).

ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਹਰੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਵਨ ਗਤੇ

N Jaanaa Harae Maeree Kavan Gathae ||

Living WAHEGURU (Hari, Hara) nu janey bina meri kaun Gati/ Salvation kar sakda .

ਹਮ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਜ ਪਤੇ

Ham Moorakh Agiaan Saran Prabh Thaeree Kar Kirapaa Raakhahu Maeree Laaj Pathae ||

We are foolish and having no wisdom, only with your mercy I will be saved.

ਕਬਹੂ ਜੀਅੜਾ ਊਭਿ ਚੜਤੁ ਹੈ ਕਬਹੂ ਜਾਇ ਪਇਆਲੇ ॥

Kabehoo Jeearraa Oobh Charrath Hai Kabehoo Jaae Paeiaalae ||

Sometimes, the soul soars high in the heavens, and sometimes it falls to the depths of the sheol.

ਲੋਭੀ ਜੀਅੜਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਨ ਰਹਤੁ ਹੈ ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਭਾਲੇ

Lobhee Jeearraa Thhir N Rehath Hai Chaarae Kunddaa Bhaalae ||

My mind is greedy and my soul does not remain stable. But I am searching you in four directions.

Salvation of the soul is received under the grace of WAHEGURU. This is called Gati in Granth Sahib.

WAHEGURU means Wav + Hay are Guru or teacher to reveal the secrets in depths of scriptures to know them fully to obtain mercy and grace for the salvation of the soul.

Waw is the Salvation when Word/Shabad is incarnated as flesh in time and now existing as eternal/immortal Purakh or Akal-Purakh.

Hay is the Shekina/ Glory, also called Ruach- Ha Kodesh/ Holy Spirit.

ਜਿਤੁ ਦਰਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਕਵਨੁ ਦਰੁ ਕਹੀਐ ਦਰਾ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਦਰੁ ਕਵਨੁ ਲਹੈ ॥

Jith Daar Vasehi Kavan Daar Keheeai Daara Bheethar Dhar Kavan Lehai

Where is that door, where You live, O Waheguru? What is that door called? Among all doors, who can find that door?

ਜਿਸੁ ਦਰ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਫਿਰਾ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਸੋ ਦਰੁ ਕੋਈ ਆਇ ਕਹੈ

Jis Daar Kaaran Firaa Oudhaasee So Daar Koee Aae Kehai

For the sake of that door, I wander around sadly, detached from the world; if only someone would come and tell me about that door. ||

Wav who became purakh and came to this world is that door. He is the Salvation/ Gati of human souls. Now he is eternal/immortal Purakh also called AKAL-PURAKH .

Hay will teach you how to enter into that salvation.

This door is mentioned in Brit- Chadasha which is new Covanant made with blood of YAHUSHA-Ha Moshiac.

Meaning of YAHUSHA in Hebrew is Salvation or Gati.

YAHUSHA in Hebrew scriptures is written as Yod-Hay-Wav-Shin -Ayin.

Yochanan(John) 10:9

I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and will go out and will find pasture.

Please do not think I am preaching christianity here. I myself is not a christian. Christians do not know this name either. They Use word God and Lord for creator’s name which is Pegan word.

I am a truth seeker and do not tangle myself in any religion but long for Amrit and sweetness of Creator and drink from his Amritbani.

Can you see Now how precious Name WAHEGURU is and Why it is chanted among those who are true learners (Sikhs).

WAHEGURU is the door to Salvation or Gati of Human Soul.

WAHEGURU is source to reveal/teach mysteries in scripture.

WAHEGURU is the healer of body and mind.

WAHEGURU is Echd or Ek onkar.

WAHEGURU is eternal truth and Amrit.

Without WAHEGURU there is no AMRITBANI.
