THIS COMMITTEE CELEBRATED OUR GREAT GURUS SHAHEEDI BY:

BELLY DANCING

DRINKING ALCOHOL

BHANGRA DANCING

THEY USED GURDWARA MONEY AND A £9000 GRANT TO EXECUTE THIS DISGRACEFUL EVENT.

WE DO NOT WANT ANY MORE EXCUSES OR JUSTIFICATION. THESE PEOPLE AND THE FULL 21 MEMBER COMMITTEE MUST NOW RESIGN:

PRESIDENT: LEHMBAR SINGH: 07780 884 098

GENERAL SECRETARY: SANSAR SINGH: 07915 643 084

SPORTS SECRETARY: NIRMAL SINGH: 07854 822 636

IF THESE PEOPLE STOP TAKING YOUR CALLS THEN YOU CAN CALL THEM ON THE GURDWARA NUMBERS:

020 8594 3940 OR 020 85981817

Our protest is peaceful and we humbly request all callers to speak to these people with respect as they are in their own way trying to serve our community.

Just for clarification; is this the exact same committee that agreed (as per previous posts) to abide by the wishes of Sikh Naujawan in East London to change the name of the tournament and to ban booze etc?

Obviously you have the full support of many (even most I hope) people here - other than ringing the committee members can you let us know of any meetings; pickets etc so that we can also attend and show that we all stand alongside you.

Yes, this is the very same committee that promised to stop the alcohol and meat. But instead did things we couldn't have even imagined.

We will inform you all as soon as our formal protests have been arranged.

In the mean time please keep phoning these people, they need to know that this time the youth will not let them get away!

I noted (which is implicit in the complaint) that other than one mention of Guru Ji's name in the report - there is nothing else about his shaheedi or his great life. The whole focus of the report is of a completely cultural event; which is what it is afterall and one of the reason the sangat were complaining about the use of the name. In what way did this event promote Sikhism or the history and greatness of Guru Ji? That last one is rhetorical!

Also (to save me untold google pages) who is Zora Singh Mann and how does a "Top Man" like him end up in a East London tournament?

outrageous.....fair enough if it was called Punjabi event or cultural show then its all gud. But naming it after the matyrdom of our guru ji.....well that just takes the piss.

All these committee members across the UK need to get their heads outta their backsides and look at ground realities. They are forgetting the basics of their faith and doing stupid things like this.

Disgrace!
