Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh

With Guru Ji's beant beant kirpa we should have met our target for 1 million Chaupai Sahibs tomorrow!

The details for the final ardas programme are as below. Please continue to do as much paath as you can and submit them!

There’s no going back.

Fathers, husbands and brothers butchered, mothers, wives and sisters raped. There’s no going back.

The army marched into the sacred Parkarma of Darbar Sahib and dealt death and suffering. There’s no going back.

Mobs rampaged, burnt and destroyed the lives of thousands in Delhi. There’s no going back.

25 years ago, the Sikh Panth decided ... there was no going back.

It is for each of us to decide whether we stand strong and firm and step forward, or whether we fall and go back.

Five months ago we started a small effort to do something for the glorious Khalsa Panth. We decided to turn to the feet of our father Guru Gobind Singh Ji and beg him and him alone to guide us in these days of darkness.

We started off with an aim to complete 1,000,000 Chaupai Sahibs and with his blessing we are nearing the finale. Sikhs from more than 25 countries around the globe have taken part in this seva. We have had young children who have maybe never even heard the name of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji right through to elderly mothers and fathers who perhaps saw their own children march off to death, take part in this seva.

The final ardas has been arranged for;

13th June 2009

Guru Nanak Gurdwara,

Sedgley Street, Wolverhampton.

Chaupai Sahib Jaap from 6am to 6pm and final ardas.

Followed till midnight by kirtan, katha in English and Panjabi, Kaveshar and more.

Additional events (9am to 5pm)

• Throughout the day there will be a series of displays and exhibitions set up in marquees around the Gurdwara.

• A chance to donate blood with the blood service at the Gurdwara Sahib

• A cinema showing a number of 1984 related movies will be also be operating from around 9am (film schedule will be released closer to the date).

• A special ‘Activists’ room will also be available to those of us who are serious about doing some seva for the Panth. We urge you to come and speak to us about ongoing seva and also to tell us what other seva is being done and exchange ideas with us. It’s not good enough to care about 1984, we have to stand up and do something about it.

• 6 Bouncy castles and chips and beans for the kids.

Everyone is invited to this event, whether you did 1 Chaupai Sahib’s, 1,000 Chaupai Sahib’s or even none at all. We ask that we all at least take part in the final ardas. Ask your Gurdwara about booking transport and bring as much sangat with you as you can. Can the International Sangat also try and arrange a final ardas programme in your countries. (It doesn’t have to be on the 13th if thats not possible), but please try and arrange one if you can.

In the meantime please continue doing as many paath as you can. With Guru Ji’s beant kirpa we will pass the target this week but there is more to be done ... we will reveal more on the 13th. But rest assured, that we have more Gurbani to read ... lots more. Please also use the GUESTBOOK ( http://www.chaupaisahib.org/index.php?opti...1&Itemid=86 )on the website and let us know your thoughts about the whole Chaupai Sahib experience, what you learnt or gained from it etc. And also what else you think we should be doing, or what we should do next. We want to hear from you ... info@chaupaisahib.org !!

So please come as early as possible to the event and take part, this is a chance to learn, discuss and share your ideas and feelings about the latest Sikh genocide. Bring your families and children, the Sikh genocide effected our entire community, so let’s support this as a community.

Let’s show the world we still care and join in the ardas together, if you can’t attend for the entire day, at least be there from 5pm for the final hour of Chaupai Sahib’s and the ardas. The Indian Government thinks it’s over. Lets remind them it’s not.

There’s no going back.

Praying for the protection of the survivors, for justice against the tyrants and for the chardi kala of the panth.

Posters and letters have been sent to all the UK gurdware, but can sangat please print off the poster and stick it up whereever possible please!!

Also if you are arranging transport from your area, let us know so we can spread the word!!

This will be such a fantastic chance for the sangat to share in the chardikala of the panth! Please make sure everyone attends!

Ps the target has been smashed and we still got nearly 10 days to go! Keep the paaths going!

If people get a chance, please print out the poster (make small flyers) and give out tomorrow at the hyde park march as well, make sure all the coaches have a copy of the poster and the sangat knows about this event as well, its only 6 days after the march!

Please try and attend and be part of the ardas!
