Vaahiguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa Vaahiguroo Jee Kee Fathe!! I wanted to make this post on Tapoban, but for some reason those forums aren't working... So anyways, I wanted to know what the Sangat's view is on 'Semi-LaReevaar'? A Singh from Malaysia is handwriting Mahaaraaj Jee da Saroop here in Edmonton and is almost done. The way he wrote the BaaNee was 'Semi-LaReevaar.' There IS spaces between the words, although small spaces, but the top line is connected. Obviously this is much better than Pad-Chhed, but yet not an ideal situation. What does the Sangat think, should we be trying to do Prakaash of this Saroop? Bhul Chuk Maaph Karnaa Vaahiguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa Vaahigu…

Silent Cry The story told by a voice mystical, to a child young for the very first time... The air about him had a choking sensation, he could only gasp a longing undescribable... His heart pained his soul cried, to no avail, for deafness was in the skies... His mind envisioned the beauty of such, the martyrdom of two princes whose valour he could only think of. He recalls that magical day, in "Sirhind" did his heart lay... His silence broken as the wind blew, as if indicating a longing to be fulfilled. He looked up, the sun shined strong, but he felt in his Heart, that something was wrong... He remembers the tale vividly clear, two young princes,…

What are people's views about the links drawn between Temporal Lobe Epilepsy and religious experience? I came across this when studying Philosophy and wondered what people think of this. :happy2:

Vaaheguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh. Saadh sangat jee, after a number of recent events and thoughts i have been having, i thought to myself it would be a wise idea to declutter my mind, and spill out onto paper my emotions, thoughts and feelings. In doing so, i devised a poem of the experiences we have all had, whether we are born into sikhi and raised as a sikh, or born as a westerner, such as myself, who too has had to do that searching, and was blessed by Maharaaj with such a beautiful path. Id like to share this with you... The Search© Oh lord of the universe; for my mouth is parched, my eyes teary and my limbs are so heavy. By your glance of …

In ardas we say: Ardaas, Ekh-oonkaar Vaaheguroo jee kee Fat'eh. Sree Bhagautee jee Sahaa-e. Vaar Sree Bhagautee jee kee Paat'shaahee D'assveen BUT we are not saying the Vaar of Sree Bhagauti, we are only remembering our Guru-ah, so should we not say Vaar Sri Bhagauti Ji ki as this Vaar is Chandni Di vaar? Could some one explain this to me please? Thanks AKAAL!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh One day Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji was making his way to the home of Guru Sahib at Sachkhand Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji. At this time Sant Ji was extremely weak and could only walk a little while before he had to stop and rest. Many people saw Sant Ji struggling up the road but no one stopped and offered to help this beloved flower of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. A Sikh who was sat on a bullock cart saw Sant Ji staggering and offered him a ride up to Kapurthala, where he was going. Sant Ji accepted the ride and sat in the cart with the Sikh who looked very worried. As they travelled the Sikh told Sant Ji that he was going to court …

"Are you serious?!?, Guru Gobind Singh Jee will be there?!?!" "Yea!!!!!" "Vahegurrrooo!!!! How can I miss this chance? Will he be accompanied by anyone?" "Yea, with Shaheed Singhs" "Vaahegurrroo, I can't beleive I'm finding this out a day before the raensabaaee, ok time to cancel all other plans." Next morning, I call work and tell them that I won't be able to come to work in the evening, as a very important task has come at hand, and I must attend to it. They didn't seem to have a problem with it as they were convinced it was really something important that I must attend to, and it left no doubt in their mind. I thanked Gurujee for his kirpaa. As I went on about my …

The following is a chapter from a book called Say Kinayhiaa, which is a biography of Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji who was a highly spiritual sikh from the last century. Baba Ji once told us, “Back in my village of Chak 119, I would walk to the next village every few days to visit a fellow companion who was ill. On the way, I had to walk past a large field of ripe and sweet sugar cane. As I was nearing the field, I felt a desire to chew some sweet sugar cane. I thought to myself that as I walk by the field, I would pick up a couple of sugar canes from it. With this thought, a tussle started within my mind. My inner voice of conscience whispered that, undoubtedly the field w…
