to cross it.They remained sitting there in the hope that the water would fall. This happened only when it was dawn and so it was useless for them to go with the palanquin at day time to fulfil their scheme of abduction. They were now convinced of the great spiritual powers of Baba Ji and startded paying homage to Baba Ji in order to get their wishes fulfilled together with peace and happiness for their families. THE CHILD AYA SINGH COMES TO THE DERA Once the Sangat from Peshawar came to pay their respects to Baba Ji together with the child Aya Singh. They requested that Baba Ji kept the child Aya Singh at the Dera.To which ,Baba Ji agreed and replied, "He will succeed m…

I want to start a thread about 84 and the movement afterwards so anyone can come here and learn about it more. There isn't enough about it in one place so hopefully with guru sahib's grace this thread will serve to become a useful resource to learn about 84 .It's up to us the sangat to contribute and keep this thread going. It is all our responsibility to honour our shaheeds and to remember them and to keep their legacy ever new and alive to inspire our future generations. No one else can be blamed if our new generations aren't aware of their own heritage. It is all our fault for never teaching them and giving them resources to learn about it themselves. To kick i…

I was watching a lecture by Dr. Kamalroop Singh Ji Nihang and noticed something interesting. He mentions that the British attacked Sri Akal Takht during their raj. This was at the 9:20 mark. He mentions this as being Mazhabi ithaas as it was these Sikhs who became shaheed. If anyone has information on this event please post.

Have been wondering this for a while. I have decided to stop using conditioner and use oil instead, plus many Gursikhs also give importance to applying oil to the scalp and hair. So the question is, what's the cheapest....ermmm....best oil? My mum uses this green coloured oil called "amla", I think. I didn't like the smell, and it also stained my white dastaar :D Baby oil is cheap, but it doesn't give the smoothness I want. any suggestions? also, are we meant to oil the beard?

In order to get ANYWHERE in your Jeevan it is vital to take out 2.5 hours for Akaal Purakh, on top of the 7 Daily prayers we all fondly and dutly do. 2.5 hours can be Mool mantar, Gurmantar (1.15 hour on each) or Gurmantar followed by one Sukhmani Sahib (this prayer takes an hour) or three Baanias from Dasam Granth (which could take an hour) followed by going Gurudwara for 1.5 hours of Simran, Seva and Sangat. In short no Matter what u select it should be 2.5 hours minimum, time excluded from 7 Baanias. Now, there are two dangers here. First, "I can't concentrate so I won't do it..." This is something I call Jargon. It's jargon because as soon as we think "Con…

Gurfateh , I have a few questions that I was wishing the Sangat could answer. Me being not so bright, do not know the answer to these. Is the Bani called Sohlia or Kitran Sohila? I heard that we should face our pillow when recieting the Parth. Is there a reason why? I also heard (but i think this one maybe false) that we should not recite Mool Mantar after. Reading online i found this one Pul Chuk Maaf Thanks
