I have noticed alot of people using 'half names' to address Singhs/Singhees these days. Guru Gobind Singh Ji has clearly told us not to do this, and that any Amritdhari must be called Singh/Kaur after the 1st name. Its a very bad habit, and people are starting to do it more and more. The "Youth of the Month' articles are very inspiring, however there are some very blessed Gursikhs on there who are being addressed without using Singh/Kaur in their name. Lets all make sure that we always address Singhs/Kaurs properly, like how Guru Ji would like us to. Bhul Chuk Maaf Karnee VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

We Sikhs are not great, we are the GREATEST. Maj. General M. Khan of Pakistan wrote in his book 'Crisis of Leadership' about the bravery of the Sikh soldiers during the Indo-Pak war. Here are some excerpts: "....the main reason of our defeat was Sikhs fighting facing us. We were helpless to do anything in front of them. Sikhs are very brave and they have a great craving for martyrdom. They fight so fiercely that they are capable of defeating an army many times bigger than theirs." "....On 3rd December 1971, we fiercely and vigorously attacked the Indian army with our infantry brigade near Hussainiwala border.. This brigade included Pakistan ar…

We want PUNJABI to be added as a system language in our Mobile Platform! Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ) is a native language of about 130 million people, and is the 10th most spoken language in the world. Also the 27 million people are followers of #Sikhism, that makes it the fifth largest religion in the world, We, the Punjabi speaking people love Punjabi, as it is our mother tongue and we want the Punjabi Language be given the same status as 'English, French, Chinese etc' as a system language in our favorite phones also with a smart keyboard to type Punjabi, so we can better express ourselves. It will enable our new generation to keep in touch with their rich language. We bel…

We Were Tricked! 1 2

Over the past couple hundred years the British have infiltrated the Sikh folds and learned everything needed to do an inside job of tricking us Sikhs as a majority or more into not reciting the full Anand Sahib bani by our Beloved 3rd Spritual Master Dhan Guru Amar Das Ji Maharaj and from the 10th Spiritual Master Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj the Benti Chuapai bani and more things that are just plain ridiculously out of context. The Anand Sahib bani is now recited from the 1st through 5 pauri and totally skipped the 6th pauri all the way through the 39 pauri and after going from 1-5 pauri staright to the 40th pauri.WHY? Its only an extra10 minutes to recite it in its ent…

The Messiah Is Here ... and It Is Us July 6, 2012by SANTBIR SINGH Source: www.sikhchic.co We all suffer at times, weighed down with personal traumas, disappointments and regrets. According to the Buddhists, the primary truth of all of human existence is suffering. But in Sikhi, while our Guru acknowledges that there is much suffering in life, there is more to life and the universe than mere suffering. No, life is so much more than suffering. The primary truth of the human condition that the Guru shows us, is that we are grand and divine. We are god-like. That is our Guru's vision: O mind, you are an aspect of the Divine Light. Connect with your true self. O min…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH after reading the title of this thread, some ppl might think that i meant something else...that somebody is ganna die from a disease or accident or something.... when we have birthdays....we gather our family and friends and we celebrate. Im not saying its wrong to. But i dont want to do that again. I do not want to celebrate the fact that another year has gone in my life and im one year closer to my death. its a REMINDER. i live in V…

VJKK VJKF Sat Sangat Ji, I have a question I would like to ask about shaster in a dumalla. It is a quick question and I hope some singhs or kaurs out their can shed shed some light on it. I have heard old stories about nihangs in battle where they would take the weapons out of their dumalle and use them in battle. I can see how one would take off a chakram but how about a kirpaan. Is their a certain way you must tie the kirpaan into the dastaar? I have this question because I have tried experimenting tieng a kirpaan into my dumalla but whenever I try and take it out it always messes up the lar or it takes too long to get out. Now, in the battlefield, say you dropped…
