PETITION TO UN SECRETARY GENERAL http://www.PetitionOnline.com/UN2425/petition.html Although we Sikhs are convinced about the 1984 tragedy as nothing less than a full-scale genocide of Sikhs in India, we realize that a full UN Investigation must take place to categorize it as an act of genocide. Trevor Barnard of London reported on April 24, 2004 that the Sikh Federation (UK) is urging all British Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to support a declaration tabled in the Parliament calling on thenited Nations to mount an investigation to decide whether the slaughter of Indian Sikhs in 1984 should be regarded as genocide. The Sikhs of U.S.A., India and the world sh…

Exceptional Qualities of Guru Gobind Singh Guru Gobind Singh's life is symbolic. It is an emblem of sacrifice. It represents the price the spirit has to offer to redeem freedom. Each of the Sikh Gurus occupies a unique place in the development of Sikhism; but none is more versatile or colourful than Guru Gobind Singh. He seems to be the fulfillment of all the preceding gurus. He has the pioneering spirit and spiritual discernment of Guru Nanak; the organising spirit of Guru Amar Das and Ram Das; the literary ability of Guru Arjan; the military skill of Guru Hargobind; and the belief in sacrifice for the welfare of others of his father, Guru Tegh Bahadur. Not only did the…

GuruFatehJi. Someone on another forum spoke about how "the tragic loss of the GurSikhs in Canada has made me think again about the Will of God . . . Why is it the good guys always seem to be dealt a harsh hand in life and yet the bad apples in this world are on a cushy number . . .It's so hard to understand the workings of God's Will . . ." Sometimes we think way too hard to try and understand God. He is a very simple Being. We complicate Him. For one who lives in His Bhaana (will), will hardly ever wonder how He works. We will eventually discover how and why He works in a certain way the day we are merged into Him, whether in this life or the next world. The passing …

vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Its so sad that such chardi kalaa gursikhs are no longer with us, its true what people say, when someone passes away we realize their contributions to society. Look at Sant Baba Isher Singh ji, rarasahib wale when he was alive people hardly recognized him, now most the world knows. I beleive Waheguroo calls his beloved to him by means of an accident, rather than a disease or slow death, most accidents are instant, like even in Toronto, this chardi kalaa gurmukh pyara also passed away through an accident, and died instantly, just thought it was something to think about. My two cents. Bhul chuk muaf karnee ji! vwihgurU jI…
