Guru Amar Das Jee’s First Sermon Taken from Pr. Satbir Singh’s “Parbat MayraaN” Translated by Admin www.tapoban.org When Sree Guru Amar Das jee became Guru, historians have recorded his first words to the Sangat: “If someone treats you badly, bear it. If you bear it three times, the fourth time Vahiguru will be on your side. The aggressor will be given such a punishment that he will not be able to save himself regardless of all his efforts. Vahiguru’s grindstone (of justice) may turn very slowly, but the grain is ground very finely (the justice is perfect).” Then Guru jee read the 21st PauRee of Sree Asa Kee Vaar “Jit saeviai sukh paeeai so sahib sadaa samaaleeaai…” …

Sometimes I wonder what was going through the minds of the Panj Pyareh when each got up to have his head removed at the request of his Guru. What was it that they saw when they looked at Guru Gobind Singh Ji? What did they feel in their hearts and souls? Just a simple request to the sangat here, please could you tell me what it is that each of us loves of see's when we think of Guru Ji, what is it about our Guru that makes his sikhs do unbelievable tasks for him?? Just give one quality and why you think its important to you, what is so great about Guru Ji, that means all the 10 Guru's and Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Why some of us don't like muslim ppls?? when something happen with muslim community.. sikhs are the first to jump and get their throat.. Why it is that way?? When larkey punjaban (UK pakistani movie) released.. we started thousands of email chain letters, flooding discussion forums, contacting movie producer/director and so much stuff.. BUT when there dozen of bollywood movie comes out every year with sikh character as a joke, that time we just sit back and relax.. WhY? Take an example of hindi "Hollywood Bollywood" movie. I still don't understand it.. Is it cauz of our past history??

WJKK WJKFateh! Just wondering, why do we call someone around our age veerji or bhainji? They have a name, so we should be calling them by their name. We don't call goray as veerjis/bhainjis, because they're mutual, and understand, therefore use only the person's name to refer to them. For most of us its just a sign of respect, but to an extent it does have to do with kaam. But if you regard others as your brothers and sisters you wouldn't really have to call them your brother or sister, you and they would automatically know right? Like, how many time do you call your own brother/sister in your family by 'veerji / bhainji', might be very few. Then why do we use such term…
