Hi, I know there are over 18,000 members on this site plus guests. I know Sikh's can be found in almost all countries. I was just wondering which countries members of sikhsangat reside in. It's just to get an idea of how far spread across the world Sikh's are. If you live in a country where there are not many Sikh's can you please state what your community is like and how you are treated by the locals. Also if you have a Gurdwara in your city, if not how far is the nearest one? Thank You. VJKK VJKF.

I think the two people who have inspired me in my life is a) Bhai Kaniyaa Ji - One of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Disciples, who showed me that you should recognize Guruji in all people. b) W. Clement Stone - Philanthropist, and someone who was the American Dream, he rose from poverty to greatness. He started his own business with 100 and became a billionaire. Who has inspired you?

Your Holy Book

Hi I am interested in how your Holy Book was written. Also that it is all meant to be chanted and sung i think? In contrast the Bible was written by many writers all inspired by the Holy Spirit whom we believe helps us to understand it once our minds and hearts belong to Christ. Jesus himself never wrote a word. Though the Bible is not sung, the Psalms especially have been used to make hymns. For me a huge part of worship is hymns, which i use also as prayers. When i read my Bible, i feel the power and holiness of God moving my soul and feeding me. Just as i am sure you do. We all know God's Word is power and light. But i spend time looking at the origins…

i was thinking of wat is the most inspired verse of bani or any other sikh scriptures that mean the most to you. Although i know every bani is suppose to appeal to you, but every one must have a favorite quote or sentence from a particular scripture. eg: my most inspired is: Na daroo ar siyoo jab jah laroon May I fight without fear all foes in life's battles Nischai kar apni jeet koroo With confident courage claiming the victory! :WW:

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh How many discussions have we all participated in, where the object of the discussion is to determine whether another person is a sikh or not? We point the finger at everyone and say 'your not a sikh because of x y and z'. Its usually over the usual controversies but only this morning i have read/heard vichars that people who dont read gurbani in larivaar form are not doing any path ... from this vichar somebody could argue that these people are not sikhs as they dont do any path! Without getting into the debate again on who is or isnt a sikh, i think we should stop... and point the finger back at ourselves and say to OURSELV…
