I'm not gonna lie to you, yesterday was probably the greatest day ever to be non-white, British and alive. It was the day that white supremists / racists were foaming at the mouth....engulfed with anger....overcome with sheer rage......tearing their own hair out....smashing plates in the kitchen and punching holes in their own walls n fits of temper. For yesterday........these people found out that the first Britons looked like us (with even darker skin than us) I just love the look on cheddar man's face. It's like he knows how much this is going to annoy the racists. They're gonna have to tell themselves to 'go back to where they came from' now

We were all excited and upbeat , esp my parents over the pregnancy . My wife is around 9 week pregnant [first trimester] .But then our world came crashing down as she got fever . Her gynaec had told her on day one that no medicines can be given during pregnancy. This was when she complained of pregnancy-related body pains. She was all well since then. Her initial sonography gave us the glimpse of my baby's beating heart and we even got to hear it . We were all thankful to god. But then suddenly the night before yesterday she developed fever . Yesterday it keep alternating between high and low . Today morning it wnt beyond 102F. By this point we had already…

Hi all. I just want to ask how comman is this thinking in Punjabi communities or is it just a mindset my own family and extended has. basically everyone in my family and extended family have a mindset that Punjabi/ Sikh girls that are from UK are somewhat not marriages material and it's best to avoid getting there sons married to Sikh girls from UK and instead invest £££ in a girl from india! last year I had an argument with my mum regarding this topic, my eldest sister is happily married to a mona Punjabi guy who is uk born and they have been happily married for 3 years no problem. Last year my mum wanted my brother to get married, she insisted that she on…

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh I have noticed that some Paatth teachers tell us to apply the word "sh" in Gurbani. For example: Ishnaan, Darshan, Shabad, Paatshah and Akaash etc. But some don't apply the word because it isn't used in Gurbani. Or is the word "sh" GUPT? So i am confused on this.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh I am an amritdhari singh and I got married to an amritdhari dumala tying girl just 6 months ago. I consider myself a beginner in terms of sikhism and I got baptised just a year ago and still trying to adapt. However, I am always trying to be better sikh. Anyways, coming back to my marriage, first couple of months were great. However, after that, I got to know about my wife's previous relationship which ended few years ago as she said the guy was abusive and did not trust her. At that time, she was not baptised and the guy was a hindu. But the fact that she did not talked about this before our marriage has really left an imp…

I am posting this about my husband to get some suggestions from married people. i am from punjab and married to a gursikh boy about 9 mnths ago. It was fully arrange marriage but i am still trying to understand what his nature is. he is jalandhar born but permanent resident of canada, i also came here 5mnths ago.here now. first when we got engaged, he didn't show much interest talking to me. He used to call me twice a week about 10-15 mins each. Now after marriage it seems like he never had interest in marriage life, much of the time he is busy with simran and gurbani. I am also a gursikh, do nitnem daily and i know sikhism but he is way too much devoted an…

Let's start with the Boxer Rebellion in China. They teach you about in school history lessons but what they don't tell you is who the British sent to crush the rebellion in China. The answer is the Sikhs. They put together the Ludhiana Sikh Regiment and each man in that regiment was specifically chosen because of his height and build. Every last one of them was built like a brick <banned word filter activated> house. After service, many stayed on in China where they dominated the professions of Policemen, Watchmen and general enforcers. But being paid enforcers, whist doing wonders for one's own macho sensibilities, comes at a price. And tha…
