As I'm banned, much of what I've said before, say now and will say in the future, gets lost or ignored in the guest Gupt section. But, those of you that have taken the time to read some of my earlier messages here will recall 2 things I've said which tie up nicely to the point of this thread. Firstly, you may recall how a Canadian Sikh made a thread a while ago on the main page in which he asked if the 'Sikhs converting to Muslim probem' really was as bad as the UK Sikhs on this forum make out. As I couldn't reply directly to that thread I wrote a reply on this Gupt section in which I articulated that the answer was 'no'. I stated that the UK muslim conversion problem was…

So....UK Sikhs. We're a peculiar bunch arne't we ? An unusual bunch in fact. When we go back to Punjab we meet Canadian, American and Australian Sikhs back in the village and the first thing we notice is how proud they are of being Canadian, American and Australian. They proudly display their national flags on their houses, vehicles and clothing and have integrated so well into their home countries that they have reached the very top of society. The Canadian Sikhs especially have adapted so well to that famous American / British hybrid sense of humour that they have reached the very top of that profession too. And then....sadly....there is the UK Sikhs. A very unusual bu…

wjkk wjkf I am going to start working again soon after two years of being jobless! i am in my 20s and had series anxiety problems, i was on medication too! I am going to start working again, its only a small job but its a start. In these 2 years off i have been getting close to Sikhi and want to help our sikligar brothers. I know there are Sikh charities out there to help them but i'm just wondering which one is the best in helping them out? As much as i would love to go India and help them out i really can't do that right now, so was just thinking which charity to donate too ... At my local Gurdwara people can give unwanted clothes and pandey/kitchen stuff whi…

Well, I'm 15 and an Amritdhari since I was 10. Since two years a beard started growing on my face and I didn't bother much about it, until now. Teachers tell me that I need to shave, while my peers stay away from me cuz "i look like a terrorist" lol. At first I didn't think it much but continuous pressure by pretty much everyone has made me feel quite depressed. I thought it would be great to tie it, but my parents don't want it cuz they say this is papey-tarkhana da kam lol. my father is an ex amritdhari mona and my mother also removes her facial hair. to be honest, my father had warned me not to take amrit cuz he said there will be a time when i would want to cut kes, …

I've noticed virtually every sikh woman who foolishly dated and married someone outside their faith have had their marriages end in divorce. Most of these women tend to have married white atheist/Christian men and it always ends very badly very bitter divorces. There was this one punjaban i got to know called [ModCut- NAMES ARE NOT ALLOWED] she married her white boyfriend and divorced 2 years later after she caught him cheating and now shes letting herself being used and abused by guys in clubs and one night stands in online dating sites. Another punjabi girl i knew who was from south england kent she dressed up like a goth and was into the satanic dark heavy metal scene…

The Kaur Movement's Allegations against Sukha Singh

Hi all and especially to the UK based residents For everyone that has been following the abuse allegations against Sukha Singh, it has been a shocking truth to try and digest for many people. Many comments from UK sangat seem to suggest that this was an issue that was widely known in the UK and rumours had been surfacing for many years. Can UK sangat please verify this. And if this is the case, why has the UK sangat not made any solid attempts to relay this information to the international sangat as most people I have talked to had NO idea that there was even any suggestion or rumors that Sukha Singh had committed these crimes. My own mind is blown a…
