  2. Normally I don't read Panjabi papers but I found this at the Gurdwara today. This Pardes Weekly article seems to suggest some serious misdoings at the Southall Singh Sabha Gurdwara involving massive sums of money. What to make of it?

  3. Veerji, Welcome to the forum. From your personal viewpoint. Is the serving of alcohol, meat and acceptance of alcohol fuelled parties in a hall dedicated to a great panth rattan Baba Jassa Singh Ramgharia really justifiable as per your interpretation of Sikhism? I myself was born in the “surnames” which may excite people like yourself and my Great Grandfather was key in setting up a Gurdwara in Kenya which was called “Ramgharia” as he was truly proud to be attached to a great Gursikh like Baba Jassa Singh Ramgharia. If Sikhs like my Great Grandfather were here today, I imagine they would have an immense sense of embarrassment at the activities promoted under the “Ramgharia” label today in places like Birmingham. If Baba Jassa Singh Ramgharia and the great Ramgharia misl sardars were here today, how would they feel about the disgusting behaviour of the committee members today? How would they feel about the "Ramgharia" Hall which promotes the very anti Sikh activities they fought against when they stood up to the enemies of the Panth? Ramgharia is not a caste or an ethnicity. The Ramgharia Committee of B'ham seem to have forgotten that the name Ramgharia means ‘defenders of the fort of Waheguru’ And do you truly believe the committee of Ramgharia Sikh Temple B’ham have remained the defenders of Waheguru’s fort?? Bhul Chuk Maaf....

  5. General Secretary Gurcharan Bahra had absolutely no hesitation in offering dates for booking parties earlier this evening. Meat and alcohol on Gurdwara premises? No problem. He said that there were loads of other issues for the Panth to resolve first, so the Gurdwara hall hosting parties was OK!!! Anyone wanting to pay their 200 pound non-refundable booking fee for a party should make their cheque payable to "Ramgarhia Sikh Temple". If anyone wants to confirm/get evidence, please call direct at the times mentioned above. They tell you all this unashamedly. Tikka - this is not a caste issue. Let's not allow caste to become an issue amongst Gursikhs. Question is this: does the Gurdwara follow Guru's Maryada and Akal Takht Sahib's Sandesh regarding meat and alcohol? If not, it should not claim to be a Gurdwara, Guru Sahib's saroops should be taken away and Nishan Sahib should be taken down - SIMPLE!!!

  7. The only hypocrites are those who post negativity about thier sikh brothers Ramgarhia on this forum and in general. This matter is going beyond a joke in that Ramgarhias are being targetted. Like it or not all the other so called castes are hypocrites, Tie a turban for the day of thier wedding, get married in front of the Guru Granth Sahib then 30 minutes later shave thier heade for a sharaab and meat party. Even all the women drink, have short hair, and i suppose they are all Ramgarhias. <Mod Cut, no insulting other members> and face it that Ramgarhia Sikh Temple is a prestigeous Gurdwara. Ashame those of you making negative comments dont follow the Sikh Rehat Maryada yourselves. Just read it and digest before criticising others. Maybe you should know that such people who comment like this are responible for ripping the Sikh Community apart..
