  1. More important thing is that Singhs need to keep their Amritvela strict and keep doing lot of Naam Simran. Rest will be fine... and ofcourse working out is very important as well

  2. When I saw the ad's for this exhibition at first I thought WOW!! that will be good, and on the face of it it seems like an excellent attempt at bringing out historical facts, pictures and artefacts that we may have not seen before. But then as I made myself more familiar with the website the organisers of this exhibition came to light - Nang Niddar Singh and his crew! http://gt1588.eventbrite.com/ Without seeing the exhibition I cannot comment on the contents, and they may be genuine, but it seems as though the drive behind this is to invite people to the exhibtion and then using the books, literature and talks to plant thier mis-interpreted, brahmin infiltrated ideolgy into people. Everyone knows the ideololgy that these guys have, they believe: Sikhs are a sect of hindus they are the only true sikh khalsa warriors (all other jathebandis - taksal, akj, other nihangs etc are all deluded and fake) going clubbing, eating meat, getting drunk, having extra-marital relationships before marriage is OK. Vishnu was the first Akali nihung that they pray to before Guru Gobind Singh That only they know what the true shaster vidya is and true sikhi - apprently it all got diluted by the british. etc Niddar claims to be the last known true warrior of the Nihangs who knows Shaster Vidya - yeah he might be, but that doesn't give him the authority to put everyone else down including panthic jathebandis, sant, mahapursh etc and spread lies. Everyone has seen the videos on youtube - of him trying to be a big man in hazoor sahib and then apologising and also getting beats by Uptej Singh, whose gatka Niddar plays down as fake. What does everyone else think about this exhibtion?

  4. OK, So I was browsing the Internet earlier today and randomly came across this website. I was extremely disgusted to see this and shocked to say the least. You can visit the website here: http://www.sarbat.net and the Facebook group here: https://www.facebook...47966512&v=wall What are your views on this? How do you feel about the setup of this group? Should we take action to stop this group? Apologies if this has been posted before.

  5. like i said before, its not about hetro or homo. Its about using extracts from Gurbani and giving a Sikh angle to promote something that is fundamentally against Sikhi i.e. a Kaamic lifestyle. In the same way.. If someone was to promote a hetro sikh themed dating site, encouraging multiple relationships outside of marriage - then saying its okay, because we should accept everyone's lifestyle- Sabat da bhalla and misinterpreting Gurbani to suggest its okay within the Sikh teaching to do this- that is totally wrong! its easy for ignorant people to say sarbat da bhalla.. and justify everything.. sarbat da bhalla to peados too i guess?? What infact Sarbat da bhalla means.. it would be a homosexual's bhalla if he was taught to refrain from those thoughts, in the same way a hetro person dating outside of wedlock's bhalla would be to refrain from acting on kaam. Sarbat da bhalla means that it would be your bhalla to follow the teachings of Sikhi, and not acting on urges. like i said before as well.. everyone has their demons, for some is hetro sexual urges, others its homo.. its about controlling them through spirituality, and never embracing them.

  6. Forget explaining the concept of jhooth and bibek to gore, explain it to 'apne' first!

  7. Bhen ji, It is no secret and quite common knolwdge that the UKPHA organisers Paramjit Singh / Amandeep Madra and Davinder Toor are hardcore supporters of Niddar. Paramjit can be seen in the Hazoor sahib video alongside Niddar! When their ideology is blatenty against sikhi tenents, then why are they allowing Niddar to speak at this event?

  8. sorry again veerji i spoke disrespectfully and rudely.. what you wrote above is exactly what i was trying to say... saying too much and not saying it right made me look like i was supporting the missionaries.. i think khalsa aid will agree to it if we find someone who could do the job.. the responsibility isn't just theirs (khalsa aids) but ours as welll.. we should do vichaar on who could step up.. and then try to get someone with sojhii to ask that jathebandi... if they are interested and would be dedicated then yeah!! khalsa aid will definitely agree.

  9. Dont worry about it. WIth internet discussions it is hard to understand what someone means because we have to read between the lines to try and see the tone. Back to what the topic was started for. I think your Dad's friend may have been referring to the Battle of Monte Cassino, a pretty bitter and intensive struggle between Allied troops and German Paratroopers/Waffen-SS. I found this old topic about it:

  10. If you read my previous posts you will notice I said they are doing immense seva. I would like to reiterate that the seva they are doing to provide shaheed singhs' families, dharmi faujis and impoverished Sikh children with the neccesities to live is aboslutely amazing and greatly needed. I was not speaking against them. The only thing I was trying to say is that the education the Sikh children get is not being given by individuals who understand Sikhi, rather by those who are maligning it. My plea for connections to a Jathebandi is to improve the seva Khalsa Aid is already doing. To better the education those children get to ensure they are being taught true Sikhi. I am pretty sure and organization who's mission is to do seva and help the unfortunate would gladly better the quality of seva they are doing. If a jathebandi like Damdami Taksal were to come to Khalsa Aid providing teachers and resources to give an education to children, I do not think Khalsa Aid would turn them down in order to continue with an Anti-Sikh group like the Missionary College. Again my plea is still there for any connection to a reputable Sikh jathebandi

  12. The website has a blatant section where Gays, Lesbians and Bis*xuals can pick each other up. Also promotes the idea of MOC (Marriage of Conveniences) for Gays and Lesbians so that they please their Sikh families and carry on their lifestyles behind closed doors. The website talks about fetish's and promotes ideas of promiscuous relationships. I have no issue with someones s*xual orientation as it's their personal conditioned choice, but don't justify it by bringing your own self manufactured "Sikh" angle.

  13. This is all I have to say: ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਭੂਲਹਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਹਿ || Reading and studying, one becomes confused, and suffers punishment. ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਆਵਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ || By great cleverness, one is consigned to coming and going in reincarnation. ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਭਉ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਇ || One who chants the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and eats the food of the Fear of God ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਇ ||੫|| becomes Gurmukh, the Lord's servant, and remains absorbed in the Lord. ||5|| and let's not get angry at these people because they have gotten on the wrong path. Let's all do ardas for them so, they understand the concept of Sikhi. DhanGuruNanak! and ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਆਖੀਐ ਪੜਿ ਅਖਰੁ ਏਹੋ ਬੁਝੀਐ || Do not call anyone bad; read these words, and understand. ਮੂਰਖੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲੁਝੀਐ ||੧੯|| Don't argue with fools. ||19||

  15. totally wrong. I am so surprised at our lack of understanding of the BASICS of Sikhi. to choose a manmant lifestyle is one thing. To justify it with Sikhi or Gurbani is totally wrong. This is nothing more than beadbi. Lets make it simple: Scenario 1. Gurbani and our Rehtnamas say we shouldnt cut our kesh. If one does, he/she is going against the principles of Sikhi- his/her choice. But to try justify it with Gurbani quotes is totally wrong. Kaam: Now lets understand the BASIC'S of kaam- in terms of Sikhi. We are told to CONTROL kaam, through Bani & simran- once in control we use kaam for pro-creation - not Recreation!. We all have our demons. For some its Anger, for others it is womanising in this scenario is is homo kaamic behavior. For someone to be gay and live their life - its not for Sikhs to interfere, but its a Sikhs job to preach a non-kaamic lifestyle to them. But to justify it with Gurbani is beadbi. In exactly the same way, what if we were to have a sikh swingers club?? justified with gurbani??? it is exactly the same, its not about homo or hetro - its the justification and promotion of bujjer kurehit, through mis-interpretation of gurbani which is BEADBI! On a separate note: this website has been going on for a long time now, it was initially orcastrated by Sunny Hundal, working on a government exercise, to highlight anti-gay elements in the Sikh community- so they can claim grants to promote gayness in the sikh community. I have copies of emails from government reps dating back to 2007 regarding this

  17. He was poking fun at the ignorance of the person who made the original comment about the rag-head (i.e. some people in the U.S. think Obama is a Muslim, thus a 'rag-head'), etc. The "Its towelhead, ****-head" comment made that pretty clear. Nothing to get upset about or start making YouTube videos. Unless I've misunderstood the issue?

  18. Should we take action to stop this group? No we should not. Everyone got their own viewpoints on different issues and it makes no sense for us to go all round to stop them. We should mind our jeevan as long as they pose no danger to our maryada or kaum directly or indirectly. Danger and action is only needed to when they try to force their views on others by using panthic stage. Whether to agree or disagree or whether this lifestyle is allowed in sikh community?.. to find out please see hukam/sandesh/edict from Sri Akal Takht Sahib under ex-jathedar vedanti pen. They clearly told us to stay away from such lifestyle and such relations are not part of khalsa lifestyle. Don't get disturbed by the website and other non-sikhi practices... ppl here and there are always trying to bend sikhi to suit their needs..

  19. Why should we stop it?! Do you have a patent on Sikhism and it's Gurus?? The Guru Sahibs BELONG to ALL! If you're a hetro, homo, bisexual etc etc you and God have a personal link, that is why Sikhi is different to other Religions! You yourself are prejudiced, and judge those who do not conform, yet Waheguru does not as they too are his creation. Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Ji spoke about tolerance, well you try a bit of that if you think you're a Sikh...

  20. Thanks for the links ... Already seen them years ago ... It's good to be informed about such things and be wary but it's a shame how an informative positive event gets dragged into negative politics. I say we go and check it our for ourselves rather than basing it around preconceived notions about what the event might entail ...
