  1. On the 16th november Mr L.K. Advani came to pay his respects to Darbar Sahib a religious temple which he himself indirectly aimed to destroy during the 1980's. As part of his BJP votes tour of Punjab and the stop corruption campaign started by Mrs Ramdev in her salwar kameeze, Advani came to Amritsar and decided he should pay his respects at the house of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Ramdas Ji. The following is the amazing hukamnama that Guru Sahib gave that day in which Satguru states that these con-artist leaders are a untrustworthy fraudsters. Raj kaptan roop kaptan dhan kaptan kul garbatheh.(Ang 708) - "kingdoms are a con, physical appearance is a con, con is being wealthy and the pride of being in a special family. You gather poison through deception but says Nanak, only God's name will go with you." http://www.oxfordsikhs.com/Live-Kirtan/Daily-Hukam-Nama/Darbar-Sahib-HukamNama-for-15th-November-2011_3856.aspx

  2. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕਾਖਾਲਸਾਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫਤਹਿ KABITT “KAHAH EH CHANDAAL JAAT MAGH MOH DIVJAAT KIDHOH, KAEDHOH KOYOO SHUDR HAIH KEH CHOR VAA TAPESH HAIH. TATT KE PRAVESH MAEH PRABEEN MATT MAAN UTT, UTTAM YOGSH KAUN CHEEN KOYOO VAES HAIH. ITT BIDH KARR JOH SAMBAKH MAAN JANNAN KEH, MUKHOH KARR SAMBHAV VIKALP ASAES HAIH. SANEH GUR NE MUNN TAAHEH VARR SHRAAP DAET NAAHEH, SUKHI JAAT PAATH MAEHEH JAISOH NIKHTRAES HAIH.”{6}. Divjaat = Brahmin, khatri, and vaess{High priest/warrior/and merchants}. Tapess = oned who undertakes endurance. Yogesh = Spiritual king. Sambakhmaan = spoken words. Sambhav = produced. Ganeh = contemplates. Munn = Spiritual people. Paath = way. Nikhtaes =moon. When the hermit folk seek donations then this gives rise to the following:- Is that some chandaal{evil spirit} walking down the road? , or is it divjaati? Or is it a shoodar {untouchable}? Or is it a chorr {thief}? Or is it a Tapeesarr {one who endures for spirituality}? Because:- Those who are absorbed in spirituality and focus constantly on the soul rather than material pleasures, who can recognise such spiritually enlightened Kings? i.e. only spiritual people themselves and none else and that is why worldly folk consider such thoughts. Such thoughts by worldly folk give rise to many harsh words but the spiritually enlightened:- Listen to and contemplate them but do not engage in giving varr{boon} or sraap{curse} to these people. They remain absorbed in their bliss and continue their spiritual journey just as the moon continues its journey in the sky.{6}. To be continued..........

  3. Generally, agree with the very valid points made. BUT, just because Jathedaar's are more prominent on Sangat TV, doesn't necessarily mean it is silent on '84 issues, pro-Badal Dal, etc. Although Sikh Channel may be more prominent in having '84 programmes, actually LAST NIGHT, there was an extremely informative discussion hosted by Ranjit Singh Rana (often - wrongly in my view - accused of being a Badal puppet) with Paramjit Singh Ghazi, President of AISSF. They openly discussed '84, and the current, seemingly nefarious nexus between Badal and Sant Samaj, and also the negative role of Badal in Panthic Veechar and progress. This has happened on other occasions too. What I'm saying is, it's easy to make allegations that Sangat TV are pro-Indian govt/Badal, but the reality is very different. Although there may be some individuals that are secretly pro-Badal, the truth is often that things are often more black and white than people like to admit. Chalo - Satgur Mehar Karan

  4. This is what Bhai Sahib Bhai Rama Singh Ji says in his book, In Search of the True Guru: “Bhai Sahib Ji, is it important to live the life of a house-holder?” “Yes, if an individual is seeking salvation then the family life is important. If one attempts to do meditation without being married, then the mind will remain unstable. This is the Age of Kalyug and the unstable mind continuously runs towards worldly attractions and wasteful life style. It takes many years of simran to stabilise the wandering mind. Even then lust is a great evil force and will continue to trouble the mind. Most of the great avatars (saints and prophets) who came to this world, were married. Of the Ten Gurus nine were married (Sri Har Krishan Ji's Light merged with Waheguru Ji when He was only 8 years old). Sri Ram Chandar Ji, Bhagwan Krishan, Shiv Ji, Mahatma Budh, Brahma and Muhammed Sahib, they all had families. So, it is important to get married. Akal Purakh (Waheguru) established all creation in two parts, for example, man/woman; night/day; birth/death; youth/old age; sunlight/darkness; earth/sky and sorrow/happiness etc. Akal Purakh has established this meaningful system. The day is for working and the night is for resting. Married life is for procreation, so that life may continue. Those saadhus and sants who say that one should not get married are breaking the Divine Law. However, there are other great saints who did not get married because they were sent for preaching religion; they have been sent by Guru Ji Himself. Examples of such holy people are: Sant Baba Atar Singh Ji Mastuanay-waalay, Sant Baba Karam Singh Ji Hoti Mardan, Sant Baba Jwala Singh Ji Harkhowal, Sant Baba Gurmukh Singh Ji Patialay-waalay, Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Rare-waalay, Sant Baba Bhan Singh Jagraon, Sant Baba Nand Singh Ji Kaleran-waalay and many others; no one can equal their saintliness. They would recite Bani all night and do simran . It is my own experience how troublesome lust (sexual urge) can be when one engages in Waheguru meditation. I too spent life as a family man for five or six years. I used medicine too to control this distracting force. From the day I was blessed by Guru Ji's darshan , my mind did not waver. This was a gift of Naam . My life changed. For controlling this distracting influence, it is necessary to do simran for 10 to 12 hours a day. Then a stage is reached where lust cannot trouble a devotee. Some Gursikhs ask me, “Being family people, how can we do so many hours of simran ?” The way this can be done is that if two members of a family sit together to do Paatths of Nit Nem and Sukhmani and simran , then it becomes a Sangat and the reward doubles. In the same way while doing daily chores one should keep reciting all the Bani one knows by heart. Proceeding in this way, with Guru Ji's blessing, one achieves spiritual success while living a normal family life.”

  6. isnt it hard for everyonee.. sometime i just think not to marry will be a easy way out but what is written in ur life by guru ji will happen, but wont it be better if u have extra sangat, husbandd/ wife doin amrit vela, nitnem ,sharing same value to find waheguru, n how each others will help each other to build their spritual level for example if im failing badly, startin to build up doubts abt life n sikhi, then sumtime ur partner understands u will direct u and vise versa, butt its really important that ur partner life goal is same as u or else like ma mom she wants amrit so badlyyy n keepin her rehit(she has taken choola dont knw if i spelled it right), doin sehaj path whereas my dad drink, eat meat and cut his hair, n don't listen to bani or thinkin amrit is not yet his goal.. sighhh watchin ma mom i dont think i want to spend ma lifeee like hers, im lucky that im already amrit dhari n not even botherd if i will find partner or not cause what matter is waheguru will give u what u deserves hunna i dont mind where i go as long as waheguru is there just embracing life as it goes, as we dont know if there is nx breathe or not, other matter guru ji will guide bhul chuk maff

  7. I heard a wonderful katha on the radio from Giani Sant Singh Maskeen on this very topic a few days ago. Basically it was trying to explain the life of a gristhi-jeev and Giani Ji was also taking examples from Guru Nanak Sahib Ji's life in order to make his point. All I can say is that it depends on the inner-strength of the individual to ensure that the maya (illusion) of this world does not overwhelm what truly matters. It's why I believe that finding a life partner who shares the same values - be they spiritual, moral or otherwise - is absolutely essential. Therefore in terms of Gursikhs it is vital you find a Gursikh wife who also feels the same way about life and the end-goal as you do, and you both agree not to allow the turbulence of life sweep you both away in it's undeniably strong currents, but in-fact both husband and wife should work together and build that jeevan together. Easier said than done though. The choice of such partners in this world is dwindling and I'm talking from experience.

  8. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕਾਖਾਲਸਾਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫਤਹਿ SUVEYAH “SUCHH CHARGHANI KHITT SEJ BANHI MRIDH DVAEH BHUJ BAEL BISAAL SIRANOH. SEEAROH GHATT MANDH SUGHAND VEAHEH YEH VAAT AHEH VAYJANOKH VITANOH. VIDH DEEP LASEH TAPPTAADH GRASEH SUDH BUDH BADHOO MIL MAEDH MAHANOH. MUN SHAANT SAROOP ANOOP VIBHOOT SOH BHOOPAT KAEH SAMM SOVAT MAANOH.”{5}. Khitt = land. Mridh = komal =fragile. Sej = bed. Vayanjanoh = fan. K = akaas = sky. Vitaanoh = canopy. Vidh = moon. Sudh budh = intelligence. Badhoo = prostitute. The land that is beautifully adorned with grass , consider that to be the beautiful seja {bed}. Consider the tree branches to be the pillow. The pleasant wind that blows is akin to nature’s fan and consider the sky to be the canopy. Consider the cool moon to ease away the metaphorical heat of torments. Consider the intelligence to be the istri {female} with whom Sant jan {spiritual people} join and engage is vast bliss. Only these people have tasted the real bliss of life whereas kings and other rich folk are asleep under the intoxication of material pleasures. {5}. To be continued...............

  12. this incident happened on eid. pakistani muslims already have a history of sexually abusing non muslims, and many of whom have a sexual perversion when it comes to the religion of others (there have been countless reports many of which available on the internet). much of slough sangat are saying that the girl was a Sikh. Some sikhs spread a roumour that thames valley police confirmed the girl was not a Sikh, however it was later established this was a lie. while thames valley police are refusing to disclose the religious background of the girl, slough sangat are sure the victim is a Sikh. @notoriousksj, this is so common, its hardly a "MASSIVE assumption".

  13. That's maha paap! You need to go pesh immediately! Having someone's jhoot will reduce your abiaas. To be safe you should only associate with gursikhs and avoid company of non- amritdaris as God sees them as inferior or less blessed than amritdaris. I also try to avoid being within the same shadow of non amridaris as well! NB. I am joking plz don't take what I said above as serious. Relax your fine I assure you that God is not angry with you. 14. rom is not hair it means pores. Also women with excessive hair on their face or without are both 'LUCKY'. However it's not natural if a woman gets lots of hair on her face because it is associated with a hormonal problem. They should see a GP for medication as it can also mean they could have fertility issues as well...

  16. Where did you get that sakhi from about sant atar singh ji's mum. The only source I found that sakhi was from bhai rama singh ji's book. I've heard another version to that story, which that she never had to take amrit. Stories will be confusing and I say if you want to clear your doubts. I think the best ways are: 1) Doing naam simran yourself and reaching sackand 2) speaking directly to mahapuraks yourself

  17. I also agree with bhai mehtab singh ji as ultimately you must make up your own mind. However I have done a lot of research into this and what I will say is that Sant Isher Singh ji, Sant Nand singh ji, sant jagjit singh ji harokowale, a lot of taksaali elder singhs who have done sangat with taksaali mahapurakhs believe that you don't need to be a sikh to get to sachkand. However reading bhai randhir singh ji's literature I've noticed that he only believes that amridari sikhs can reach sackhand. Therefore over the years I have noticed that majority of AKJ hold his views. Therefore you will notice that this subject can lead to a lot of arguments. I think you should read as much literature as possible and then make your mind up. Remember read from many sources and then make your mind up.

  18. Rather than answering your question let me ask you further questions. Possibly by asking you these questions you can come up with your own answer? 1) If only sikhs can achieve sachkand then what about the other 6 billion people in the world that are not sikh? 2) Do you think that there life is a waste because they never choice sikhi hence will never get true happiness (sachkand)? 3) Also I want to ask you personally mirror ji, what are your expectations about sachkand? What do you think sackand is? Why do you want to go there? 4) Also didn't Sant Jarnail Singh khalsa bhinderawale say that if you are a hindu be true hindu and if you are a muslim be a true muslim. Surely sant Ji would have told them that you must convert to sikhi before you ever have a chance to meet wahiguru?

  19. WJKK WJKF Great responses here indeed, I wonder on the same question from time to time. However I do wish Khalsaaid could answer the same question as did the united sikhs for ever $1 , 90 cents goto the needy. This is not being picky I know the awesome seva they do,and I support them at present, but a clear answer as rain should be appearing if sangat is asking such a question.
