  1. Excellent question Mehtab singh ji, the more we ask this question to everyone around us and to ourselves the more our qoum will progress. if i copy and paste from above to answer your question- to the peace keepers- Adopt village children and preach Gurbani e.g. pay fees if someone learns path and stays in sikhi swaroop. Start from the root level. They will one day grow up and join the administration to change things for Punjab. work within the legalities of Indian system and then realise your dream of Khalistan by propagating the thoughts about the cause e.g. work with punjab govt on development projects, consult rural people what their areas are lacking in and work on that etc. let me add- catch them young and start with the positives...... Lets work with them (people and partly administration) in punjab and NOT further tear apart our so called minority. this way is LONG.....BUT you will see the results. if you want it quick and doesn't care about bloodshed then "hot headed" advice is more suitable.

  2. If we did what you said and paid our £1 a week Sikh Channel would not need to have adverts on its channel. Like you say, it's just an excuse. We are just not paying because, may be, we just want the Indian Govt, RSS and Shiv Sena to kill more Sikhs without anyone, any media, to question them. May be our 'inaction' makes us an enemy of the true Sikhs who are targeted by the GOI, RSS and Shiv Sena. We should support our Sikh Media!!

  3. Badal has already won this battle: 1. by going for a stay for rajoana's execution, he will let him rot in jail for another few years (at least if not more) as they wont release him or make him shaheed (which is the only two options open to the singhs) 2. they will never make rajoana jathedar of akal takht or any other takhts as they know this could tip things over the edge. 3. the takht jathedars are in Badals pocket as are Sant Samaj and Dhadrianwale 4. by arresting bittu daduwal etc there is no one to co-ordinate the early stages of this movement 5. Badal has total media control in Punjab and no one else outside Punjab in India really cares or knows 6. the actual protests in Punjab are actually quite small in number but much better than they have been for years 7. by shooting dead Jaspal Singh, they hope to scare (and have probably succeeded) mothers from sending their sons to protests or becoming militant in views and actions 8. nothing will happen to the suspended DC and SSP 9. in 2 months everything will be back to normal

  4. Who will bell the cat? An old story which we all are familiar with features rats collectively thinking who will help by tying a bell in the cats neck so that we can be alerted when she is on the hunt. It is pertinent to note the ideology of some Sikhs who support Khalistan and who are propagating those thoughts again through different media. I want to ask people who support khalistan and criticise Badals – are they ready to go back and bell the cat? Old Khalistanis Sikh Channel discussions are the one to note in this regard. Many persons who have taken refuge in UK in 80’s and has run away leaving behind their brothers dead in encounters in Punjab. They sought refuge in several countries and never returned back to finish the fight. They have grown old but their ideology is still creating bitterness in the society. They might have influenced some young brains under their protégé but it is not far when youngsters will understand that those who don’t deliver and make sand castles. If someone can ask them why can’t they go back instead of discussing these issues on TV and sort it out their way? Go back and seek control of Sri Akal Thakt sahib ji because as per you it is under Badals at the moment. Go back and fight in SGPC elections to change things. It is funny that they talk about bringing all the Sikhs together except badals. Have Badals done anything right so far? Badals There are two types of Sikhs in Punjab- one who follow the constitution and one who not. Interestingly the second category is outnumbered and only selective fighters like Bhai Balwant singh ji emerge from time to time often from unknown quarters of the population to take up the cause. Those people never seek publicity or entertain public through media whether it is TV channels or newspapers. They “do” something rather than “discuss” something. Many people living abroad criticise Badals for their negative role in the previous matters. They are the ones who want to follow the constitution and have huge followers whether you agree or disagree. They know better than anyone else how things work in India. They played an important role to stop this hanging whether to save their own government or to save public getting butchered again by the Punjab police. They are the ones who can talk to the centre. Ask those who criticise Badals to go back and fight them in elections, seek public votes and then do things as they want. If their election deposit doesn’t get refunded I believe they won’t mind that. No point in maligning someone who is not even present in front of you to defend himself. Young Khalistanis Those born and bred in foreign nations need to first understand Punjab politics and read history through different point of views. Some of them go there for holidays only or for making a documentary which is different things. Giving your opinion here is different than facing the ire of Punjab police. If you sincerely want to take up the Khalistan issue, go and live with those people, seek their opinion and then try if you have guts to do something. I am 100% sure that some young khalistanis can't even sit together and get through a meeting? how will they run Khalistan? What is next? If you want to help genuinely to the peace keepers- Adopt village children and preach Gurbani e.g. pay fees if someone learns path and stays in sikhi swaroop. Start from the root level. They will one day grow up and join the administration to change things for Punjab. work within the legalities of Indian system and then realise your dream of Khalistan by propagating the thoughts about the cause e.g. work with punjab govt on development projects, consult rural people what their areas are lacking in and work on that etc. to the hot headed- start morchas to occupy Sri Akal Takht sahib, then change the way sgpc works, then declare khalistan. take the fight to the punjab police.i'm sure you can buy your ticket back to punjab asap. Lastly to Sikh Channel- Stop anyone who is blabbering rubbish on the air. good effort but try and get some different opinions. Fed up with the repetition of same thoughts....don’t you. Finally who will bell the cat? Ask oldie khalistanis sitting abroad with big smiles on their faces.....oh have they eaten their Weetabix anything else upsets their tummies.

  5. http://www.prisonerwelfare.com/news/letter-from-bhai-jagtar-singh-hawara/ Ik Onkar Sri Akaal Sahai To all humble and concerned Sikhs in the United Kingdom, please accept my Fateh; Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa || Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh || With all the blessings from Waheguru (wonderful Lord) and the prayers from the Sikh community, and despite my incarceration and confinement by the corrupt government, I am happy to report that I remain in high spirits (Chardi Kala). In the presence of Waheguru (God), I pray for the well being for all my fellow Sikhs and for the freedom of our nation. May Waheguru bless us; bless us with unity so that the community can come together and achieve our goal of Khalistan. I am unable to express in words the magnitude of support I am receiving from the Sikh community in the UK. In this hardship the UK community has amazed me and I find myself awestruck and I am finding it difficult to express the feelings I have in my heart and soul except to say that I am extremely thankful for the Sangat’s (congregation) love and support. I would specifically like to thank 2 advocates who have taken the time and effort to do Parchaar (educate) and Seva (selfless service) in the Sangat. They are educating the youth and elders alike about the true history – past and now presently – of the Sikh struggles. Despite the contemptible actions of the corrupt government these Gursikhs are not allowing any other hurdle get in their way of Sewa. They are helping both Sikh and non-Sikh Political Prisoners very bravely and without any fear. Amongst those being held in these harsh jails, I must report that there are many who after so many years on jail, do not know why they are in prison. Additionally, their families have been left to suffer. In these difficult times it is the UK charity, SOPW, who with the support of the UK and International Sangat, is paying for these prisoners’ lawyers, other jail expenses and also assisting their families at their time of need. I would specifically like to thank these 2 advocates and also the rest of the SOPW team for the great work they are doing. I pray to God, that you all be blessed with everything, for not only helping me but many others who are like me: Political Prisoners. You have been helping and supporting us for the last 3 decades. I pray that Waheguru blesses you all with more strength to serve the Sangat and Panth tirelessly. For OUR freedom. I would like to request that the UK Sikh community help SOPW with their mind, body and soul, so that they can continue to serve the innocent Sikh Political Prisoners. I would sincerely like to thank all the God-loving followers for the support they have given. It is with their energy (spiritual and physical) that many challenges have been overcome. From me and all the other inmates we would like to thank you all. With your permission I would like to end this letter here. Please forgive me for any mistakes. 7. Singhballer please re-read my original response if you still can not understand here's a basic sentence No sikh media can survive in India without political interference only media outside in UK (i.e. sikh channel), USA, Europe is out of their clutches ie Ofcom. I will try and keep things VERY simple for you next time so I don't have to waste my time saying the same statement again. “If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” ― Malcolm X

  11. to my knowledge same goth are considered brothers and sisters as they come from same clan or tribe. long long time ago which you cant imagine when the clan/tribe started and when people travelled and started living at different places in punjab. we are beginning to question RULES, which makes us BAAGI.

  12. langar was started for two things- open/free community kitchen, making all equal. if you are young and have no issues in sitting on the floor then sit on the floor. if you are old, can't bend or disabled people, use chairs. no problem ji. by the way langar is simple food NOT fine dining. too many sabjis, sweets is distorting the shape and thought of langar. "swad"of different things is making it loose the appeal behind the whole concept.

  13. Excellent article. Well written and good thoughts. My only difference would be that I dont agree that the hot headed or 'fighter Sikhs' should turn their attention to taking over the Akal Takhat Sahib and to fight with the Panjab Police. To an extent that happened in the 80s anyway when the hardline jathebandia elected jathedars with hardline views and declared Khalistan at Akal Takhat Sahib in 1986, as well as forming the Panthic Commitee to implement their plans which included fighting with the Panjab Police. I would argue that we have been there in the past and it hasnt done us any good. Actually, the present strategy used by the Sant Samaj and Taksal to influence Panthic affairs by joining hands with Badal and infiltrating the SGPC and influencing Akal Takhat Sahib from the inside is probably a far more effective approach for them. Interestingly though, despite this more covert and intelligent strategy, many UK Sikh youth and jathebandia seem to regard this as evidence for their treachery. There are plenty of other activities for the hot headed fighter Singhs to get involved in. I believe that a more organised security network would be highly beneficial to the Sikh Community. A disciplined task force with ex-military staff designed to look after the security of Gurdwaras, Sikh institutes, bodyguarding for Sikh leaders and politicians, and finally, providing security to the community during times of civil unrest, since we cant rely on the Police. If we could set up a disciplined security network like that, we wouldnt need Kharkus. The focus would be on community safety to counter the threat of Right wing Hindu paramilitary groups such as RSS and Shiv Sena and paramilitary groups belong to certain Deras, who incidentally, are very well organised and trained compared to the Sikhs. Just my thoughts.

  14. No point in starting any kind of tv/radio channel or newspaper in Punjab until we have Khalsa Raj as it firstly will never get permission or if it does start-up the enemy will force it to be false or make life hell i.e. power cuts, infiltration and corruption, red tape, guests won't turn up or intimidation of staff etc. Don't waste your time or money support the sikh media voice outside india as it is free from anti-sikh involvement.

  16. If you're worried about time differances that can easily be dealt with. Like I said, what could Sikh Channel do if they were in a twenty thousand pound surplus? They could set up talkshows to be filmed in Punjab and put on the air through the U.K channel at appropriate times for Punjabi viwers, or better yet create a 2nd streaming channel specificaly for those living in india where content could put online at suitable times. If timing is a problem, I'm sure whatever talkshows happened at 9 PM GMT could be re-run on a 2nd streaming channel for Punjabi viewers around 10 AM in Punjab. All of my cousins live in Pinds and most of them have internet access. Also the my idea for little projection rooms is viable in many villages as it isn't too costly. Why would you want to create something new, when you could support a channel that is already doing so well, so that they can expand and begin to cater to Punjab residents? The amount of money it would take to create a new channel could be given to Sikh Channel so they could enlarge their Punjab operations, create a 2nd streaming channel where programming is given as per Indian times, build a Punjab studio, etc,. There are so many things that could be done to make Sikh Channel available to Punjabis. Creating more channels just creates more rifts and divisions and competition between channels. Why have a lot of mediocre channels, when you could have one GREAT one!

  17. I think we should refrain from doing things which makes us look like Muslims e.g. flag burning. It doesn't really achieve anything. There are other ways of showing one's discontent towards governments.

  18. Please post large images (minimum 1MB) ??? Can be related to 1984, Rajoana, Shaheedi photos, Police attacking sikhs, etc but MUST be a minimum of 1MB so that they can be used for posters to create awareness. This is a big weakness in our Qaum that we don't record incidents on video & don't focus on taking & distributing hi resolution pictures rather than these low res small pics we put online

Please whoever has the ability to, please write a thorough or point form situation of what is happening in India at the moment making reference to the current Rajoana situation as well as the human rights issue of 1984. Do try to contact writers@infowars.com They are from the website www.inforwars.com which release unbias material of current events. Do try to get information out their, www.sott.net is another unbias media source in which we can all contact. If there are other media sources(not mainstream) with contacts please share them, so more people can contact them with the Sikh situation.

  22. If anything the last few days have proved how vital Sikh Channel is! Without it we would have no information and everyone would be the dark! Although I was a cynic in the past I will be pledging at least a small monthly payment each month and so are other members of my family only now have we realised how important this channel is... its closure would be catastrophic!!! I think everyone should set up a direct debit, we need Sikh Channel!!!

  23. A poem I found on gurmatbibek.com - http://gurmatbibek.c...ead.php?3,21070 As I see this injustice and turmoil unfold in front of my eyes, I have been taken back with great shock and surprise. How can the Indian government succeed in eliminating the Panth, The blood of a shaheed only adds life to this plant. The nation has been shook with the courage of Bhai Balwant, This seems to be a reminder of the works of the infamous Sant. We are a Kaum that stands for justice and peace, Shame on the cowards, the Panjab Police. It only took the roar of one lion to awaken us all, In this struggle, sadly we witnessed another one fall. But the falling has only revived this movement, We won’t rest until we see an improvement. To those who said that the Sikhs are dead, You have been answered by a Gursikh ready to embrace it instead. This injustice will end! This injustice will end!

  24. Because they find an excuse to say that the money is being taken by the owners etc or there is enough advertisement to cover the cost. I for one believe all Sikhs should pay 4 pound a month - thats a sandwich, packet of crisps and a drink. And we cant even give that to our panth?

  25. Khalsa Ji Imagine the following scenario: There is a beautiful tree with beautiful branches , with beautiful leaves , with beautiful flowers , with beautiful fruits , which gives beautiful shade and shelter to those who sit nearby. Imagine if we were to cut the roots of the tree but continued to water the branches , continued to water the leaves , continued to water the flowers , continued to water the fruit etc. how long will the tree survive without it's roots? Khalsa Ji the cause of all our torment lies in the fact that when we neglect the sidhant of Gurbani. We must follow the sidhant of Gurbani of losing ego , losing hatred , we must adopt good manners , we must lose selfishness etc. Khalsa Ji without these sidhants we are watering the leaves , branches , flowers , and fruits of the Gursikhi tree whilst cutting our sidhant roots. For how long will the Quom remain green and healthy? Khalsa Ji Guru Maharajh told us that our Guru is Gurbani. It is utmost happiness that the Sikh Quom believes in Gurbani to be their Guru. It is of utmost sadness that we do not follow what our Guru is telling us to do.

Anything that Akal Takht Jathedar and , Dhumma, Sant Samaj, Jasbir Singh Rode do will be on instructions of Badal on how to calm sikhs, how to take maximum advantage of the situation and how to make sure sikhs still vote for Badal. All the people who do actual work are in Jails (Mann, Bittu, Daduwal and others)
