  1. Most Kirpans are blunt. So it's very likely that your relative who was taking Panga with a Singh, would not get hurt by the Sikh even if he used his Kirpan. Of all the incidents where Kirpan has been used, I have rarely if ever seen a case where a person was killed. The common kitchen knife is more dangerous than the kirpan. Should kitchen knives be banned too? Secondly, Sikhi is a timeless way of life. We don't care if it is mid evil times or modern times. The rehit Guru Gobind Singh Jee gave us is relevant today as it was over 300 years ago. Less Sikhs would have been killed in 1984 had they used Kirpans in self defence when people attacked and killed Sikhs in the streets of Delhi.

  2. 1) The reality you mention which is not going to remain, is an illusion, is a dream, that temporal changeable so called reality, in fact is no reality at all... So to start with, first of all, it is our misconception of taking the perishable as reality, is the cause of our being lost .... The remedy for this, is to arise above this illusory creation and search that one permanent Reality, which is none other than Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Your soul is your reality, it is our birthright as humans to go after our this real objective, so that we too get out of the perishable creation and end our endless comings and goings in this creation. Our attention on the perishable, or our ignorance of that unique reality, is the cause of our wanderings as said before .... Hold on to His Light, and reach your true Home 2) then the question about remebering God .... it is indeed a blessing on us, not a burden. In the sense, that one goes where one´s mind and heart is. So, by remembering Him, meditating on Him, you are not doing Him any favour....As He does not need all this...Just as it is unecessary to lit a candle in Sunlight.....but yes, you can profit yourself by taking the advantage of that light and do your real work, which is, bhajan bandagee ...It is we who get inmense benefits, by remembering and loving Him. Cheer up man, you are currently very low...remember, however life maybe with you, but He is always there to guide you, if you just turn your face towards Him...and He is right within you at all times, nowhere outside ...and according to the Gurmat, His Simran is the real turninig one´s face towards Him, and being in His presence. 3) Why did God create us? Such a Supreme being, who has created all the infinite universes as well , do you think that He can make any mistakes? Have we stopped to think ever, the power and the knowlege He has to do all that? The thing is we are petty, our angle of vision is limited and poor, so we judge the Perfect One, within the limits of our agaynta and moorakhta ... Come on man, He is our very own true Father ...our essence is as same as He is. Just as a ray of Sun is related to the Sun, in a similar way our souls have emerged from Him, to merge in Him only ... The current state of most of us, is as, we are in a dark well, and we are shouting why are we here, who has thrown me here? First of all, let us get out of it...we will have ample time to know how we reached there, but not that by entertaing those petty thoughts, we waste our time and we die there, without giving the chance to be pulled out on the surface and know everything by ourselves...and our surroundings, even about our origin...so cheer up man, life is too short to be wasted in the darkness ...come out in the Light and know thyself ... You are free to think as you want, I will only suggest you to keep company of positive people as soon as possible, as your self estimation now is very low, and pray to Him sincerely from your heart to show you the way to Him... May God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.

  3. Sikhs don't need a worldly government to issue us a worldly licences to carry a kirpan since we have been given a divine licence by none other than Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Allowing a government is issue us licences would set a dangerous precedent. If one government does it, then tomorrow maybe all the governments of the world(including GOI) will also restrict Sikhs from carrying kirpans without their so called permission. During Islamic rule in India, the Muslims had restricted non Muslims from carrying weapons. Only Rajputs were allowed since they served in the Mughal army. But Guru Gobind Singh jee changed all that when He gave hukam to Khalsa to carry Shastars and gave Darshan to that Khalsa who presented himself wearing no less than 5 Shastars.

  4. Nanak Nirankar. There is no difference between Guru and God. When the mountain came to Mohammad Sahib do the muslims question this? When Raam Ji built the bridge to Sri Lanka do the Hindus question it? When Moses parted the Red sea do the Jews question it? When Jesus rose from the dead do catholics question it? So why do we question that Guru Ji spun mecca? and why do we suddenly change the meaning of bhai Gurdas Jis vars to be metaphors? If Guru Ji wanted He could turn night into day and day into night, spinning mecca was no big deal.
