  1. khaliban, sikh extremists, i have some simple questions to these people who use such terms, 1/ which countries have the sikhs invaded ?. 2/ How many non sikhs have the sikhs converted by the sword / force ? 3/ How many places of worship that belong to any religion have the sikhs destroyed or built a Gurdwara on by force ? 4/ How many women and children have the sikhs taken by force or killed ? now take a look at some other communities/ religions , I am not saying other religions are bad but the past and present actions of there followers and there doctorine are not good to say the least. We sikhs have nothing to be ashamed of but actually we should hold our heads high ! if standing up for our rights and freedom makes us extremists then you know what every other community / race / culture/ religions are way bigger extremists than us. We may have a few rotten apples in our community but hey some communities are rotten all the way through and others are trying to be whiter than white today but there pasts tell a different story !!

  2. It's funny that they use terms like Khaliban. I asked a few members here what Khaliban means and they said it means one who is intolerant of other people's views. But historically, Nihangs have been known to have literally killed those they don't agree with. They have attacked a Shia procession, tried to blow up a historic mosque in Kashmir, tried to decapitate Dayanand Saraswati. Their Khalibani activity is so well known that Nihang jokes have been created on this matter. One should just see what Nihang Bali Singh's Khalibani views are about Nirmala and Udasin Sikhs. So it's extreeeeemely hypocritical of them to call some one else a Khaliban when they are the original Khalibans as they define this term. They come up with these childish terms, but Hindus begin to use these very same names in a derogatory way against the Sikhs. I strongly suggest the moderators to please give a warning to any member here on Sikh Sangat if they use these terms. These anti Sikh terms should certainly not be tolerated on this site.

  3. Recently a facebook page and youtube channel been started which is alleged to have been created by UK nihung and his gang. In the videos and fb pages it says terms like "sikh extremists" "khalibani" "sikh taliban". Now what kind of guru's sikh would use such terms to label other sikhs like that? What type of Sikh would want his own religion and community painted in a negative light worldwide? One can only draw the conclusion that person must be a non-sikh as its always been the hindutva hindu extremists that have made such propaganda. So i'm wondering have the nihungs especially in UK now lost the plot? Have they become non-sikhs by venturing off in non-sikh activities and thinkings? Nihungs were known as the most die hard fiercest warriors of Sikhism, they get their name from persian farsi meaning crocadiles. They were known as suicide squads for Sikhi marching into battle with the enemies and establishing ground work for Sikh rule where people said it was impossible. But nowadays seeing the state and condition of UK nihungs it seems they have become the sheep in lions clothing. They have become hippy liberals into all sorts of non-sikh activitiy and even labelling mainstream sikhs who defend sikhi with occasional physical confrontations as "sikh extremists" ???? Are these nihungs no long Sikhs that they want to label fellow Sikhs as extremists? Crazy stuff going on in the panth.

  5. This is why im confused because nihungs are the most "extreme sikhs" in sikh history they would literally ruin an enemy of sikhs and their dwellings sparing no one which is why afghans feared akali phoola singh. The real and purataan nihungs took dasam granth literally especially the chapters on war. They would make islamic isis terrorists look like kids if they were to engage in war against enemies of Sikh's and yet these days they are like cuddley teddy bears hipsters that get rolled over with a pass of wind. They even blame the british for creating mainstream sikhism of today. Yet they make petitions wanting so called "sikh extremists" to be reined in by that very British establishment they despise....the sheer hypocrisy is hilarious! I think the rot set in 1840s when the british attacked and invaded Punjab's sarkar-e-khalsa. And then big massacres of them in partition 1947 as they were easy to single out and so got taken out by the highly organised migrating muslim hordes and what remained after was left realing then in 1980s they did not join the kharko movement and isolated themselves from mainstream Sikhs were seen as neutral force or traitors siding with the barbaric hindustani forces. They need to fix up big time.

  7. awww veer ji! You should really talk to someone because sangat on this forum can only give you suggestions whereas if you speak to a trusted family member or friend they can support you through out! Also if the worst happens everyone will say to you "you should have told us!" I havent had any experience myself but I know one of my aunty has quite a difficult marriage because her husband drinks a lot, gets really violent and does not give her explanations of where he is and when he'll be back! She got really ill a while back with all the worries and tension but finaly she's realised that by worrying and constantly thinking about the same thing she'll achieve nothing. She does what is in her hands and the rests he leaves to waheguru ji.... "Man Beche Satgur Ke Paas" sell your mind which is full of worries, to the true guru yes its true You come alone and will go alone as it says in sukhmani sahib - where your mother/father, family and friends don't go, o man there the name of the true lord is your support! But Guru ji also emphasised Girhasti jeevan (family) so this means you should have a good relationship. Personally i think that if you really want it to work out then forget her past and just focus on the immediate future. Sit her down and say "now wifey! i do not feel comfortable with this this and this..." Maybe she senses your stress too and might just understand if you tell her things straight. If things still don't change you should get both parents together and tell them! Also i would suggest do dukh bhanjani sahib! Its shorter than sukhmani sahib and dead easy to understand (if you can speak punjabi properly lol) If not anything just constantly do the mool mantar in your mind and i'm sure your either see an improvement or find a solution. Bhul chuk maaf ji, Good luck and i hope all ends well

  8. I READ THIS ELSEWHERE & LIKED IT Immigration is driven by Globalists and Oligarchs to destabilise the locality of ethos. The agenda is to evolve a new global citizen (slave). Nation states and sovereignty have ceased to exist and have been replaced with trading treaties that see culture as dispensable. This is not uniquely a British problem at all, yet this invisible empire does regard London as one of it's capitals. This is a New World Order , a new Empire and both the British Citizen and the immigrants are its victims

  10. The Palestinians receive billions every year from the USA, EU and UN. What have they done with these billions? The world needs to move on from these people, they were offered their own state in 2000 but they want the destruction of Israel and nothing less. There are hundreds of millions of people in a worst condition than the Palestinians yet the Palestinians get the limelight about their 'problems' and the others are forgotten by the media. The Israelis are no less, they are financed by the Americans and it is only the American money and weapons that is keeping Israel in existence. These Israelis know that with time and the changing demographics of the US, more and more liberal and socialist leaders are likely to come in the wake of Obama and eventually the USA will realise that it is not in their interest to keep on supporting Israel and so the Israelis are reaching out to countries like India. They have no qualms about protesting against Palestinian terrorism and yet keep ties with terrorist states like India.

  11. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ke Fateh At the start of part one last week, I was pleased to see an amritdhari sister was going to be part of the programme as she would bring Sikh ethics to the debate and put the bigots straight. But even though she did not feature much last week, the small clips made it clear she was part of the 'anti-immigration' group that needed convincing by the 'immigrant' group, which came as a surprise as her elders like almost all UK Sikhs would be immigrants. In this week's part I was shocked when Bhein Ji said 1. She had moved to another area because the area where she had lived had become too diverse. If an English person said that there were too many ethnic minorities in an area what would we think? 2. She would not send her kids to the school featured as it was too diverse. Again, If an English person said that there were too many ethnic minorities in a school what would we think? What about Sikh ethos schools that even with a large amount of places reserved for non-sikhs will end up predominantly teaching Sikhs of Punjabi descent? 3. Her father had cut his kesh 'to integrate'. My father like many others had to do the same but not to integrate, he was forced as an oft-unspoken racist condition of employment taking advantage of his dire financial situation. He also felt there was little recognition for his and other Sikh soldiers' sacrifices during WW2 otherwise they would respect the kesh/dastaar Sikhs retained in the war. Mr. Mohammed was perfectly within his rights not to enter a Gurdwara or assist a Sikh organisation serve the homeless, even though it was harmless, due to his strong allegiance to his own faith and that faith alone. The other Muslim couple featured although more liberal did not attend another faith's place of worship they took the English couple to their Mosque, Mr Mohammed would have happily done the same. He seemed welcoming when our sister visited his home twice and he was happy to visit her home. How many apneh, especially first generation immigrants, socialise with goreh outside work? Just as importantly how many gorey invite us around? We can't judge a 1st gen immigrant by our 2nd/3rd gen levels of integration. His daughters spoke of returning to a peaceful Somalia one day and using their education to help rebuild the country. I found this highly commendable, who in today's age of growing selfishness would want to make such a sacrifice? It is just like Brit born Sikhs going to a Punjab they know little of and spending cash they earned in the UK, skills they acquired here to run medical camps, build homes, help the victims/widows/orphans of 84. Someone could argue that money/skill should be used for Britain's homeless. How many of us dream of one glorious day taking our UK acquired skills to an ajaad Khalistan to turn it into a utopia, to give Sikhs and non-Sikhs there the life we enjoy here? Mr Mohammed had fears of integration actually being assimilation just as our parents did. Fears of losing our faith, our customs, respect for elders and the dangers of alcohol abuse, promiscuity etc - these are natural feelings. Brits living abroad also have similar fears with regard to identity, they also tend to live in areas where there are large British expat communities. Integration is a two way process, one way only is assimilation. Western europeans have conquered and occupied three of the world's largest continents they were not native to - Australasia, North America and South America where the indigenous populations live in abject poverty on worthless land allotted to them. Vastly outnumbered by the western europeans, the native tribes have little prospects, resulting in high substance abuse and high suicide rates. The native culture, language and customs are dying out. Is that the integration that western europeans keep talking about? What would happen if those millions of western europeans had to return to western Europe - as we say, there wouldn't be space to sit. The fact is western europeans have enjoyed an ever improving standard of living at the expense of everyone else over the last 400 years and understandably they don't want things to change. Immigrants come to the UK not with armies to conquer and occupy but with hopes of a better life for their children and the will to work hard to achieve it. Right to enter is determined by the democratically elected government who, as highlighted in the programme, have reduced visa numbers, introduced stringent visa conditions and reduced entitlement to benefits for non-EU citizens. The Irish where the last immigrants before the wave of Asian and West-Indians arrived in the 50s-70s. They became accepted and some try to prove their 'Britishness' by slating us as the Brits slated them. The irony is that they still get called all sorts and are the butt of many English jokes. It seems that as Sikhs, now that we have won our rights though years of court cases and political lobbying we too are glossing over how we lost our Raj, the racism of the past and the fact that a large number of Brits still want us on the boat 'back to where we came from' - all in order to criticise the newer immigrants. As a point of interest, Bhein Ji may want to ask her neighbours in her new street what their views are on carrying a proper sized kirpan, wearing a dastaar instead of a safety helmet, arranged marriage etc with respect to integration. Such issues came up during my working life in the last ten years, like me she may be shocked by the response of many of the educated liberal english middle class, like me she may question how British she is considered by them.

  12. There are 400-500,000 Sikhs in the UK, less than 1% of the world's population are Sikhs. The turban helps us to identify Sikhs. Upon establishing turban as a Sikh identity Guru Gobind Singh Ji said, “My Sikh will be recognised among millions”. Since Sikhs believe God to be present everywhere, they cover their head not just in church but everywhere else as well. We should look at the wisdom ,knowledge and the education and experience of the person rather than his beard or what show his on. You are Sikh if you follow the teaching of our Gurus. Guru Nanak did not set any example of keeping hair and so on. Most important is to help family, neighbours, no killing, no stealing and earn a living by right way of working and stay away from drugs, do not hurt anyone, be a friend etc, and you will be on the right path to being a good man. Isn't this what all human beings strive for, regardless of how you look? Pav is a western Sikh boy that represents many modern Sikh boys living in the UK. I'm for one am very proud that he is on the show, it takes courage, it takes something special than just words to put yourself out there without any fear of what people may think or say. I dare my fellow Sikhs to do the same.... In fact I hope you do I will back you just the same. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

I wear my dastaar and panj kakkar I do my banis but I know I can't have amrit alone (that's the killer) so I am waiting on Angelo , I know his family frames it as a family betrayal to become Sikh but he is his own man ... My three teenage boys are amritdhari and my daughter is six so a little young but we do banis together so she is learning.
