  1. G Singh Ji, It is no coincidence you have negative thoughts about Gursikhs and Gurus when you are doing naam simran. This may sound crazy but this is sort of normal. In some ways this is telling you you are on the right path. You see you are on the correct path and those inside you are trying to divert you from the correct path, that is why you have these thoughts. The five thieves inside you are now active and will try every trick to stop you doing your naam simran and what better way then to put bad thoughts about Gursikhs and the Gurus, even swear words! You will feel so bad you will try to avoid doing naam simran because you don't want these thoughts . . . . . . . .they win! No! they do not, they must not, this is a fight you cannot, must not lose. You have lost this battle over and over again in previous existence's but this time you cannot lose. This is what you do . . . . . . . You carry on with your simran. Everytime you get these thoughts you stop, in your mind warn them off. Warn them off sternly. Then do benti to Guru Ji - Oh Sahib Ji this is not my thoughts, they are trying to stop me on your path please do not listen to them and forgive me. Now continue with your naam simran. They will try again, and again and again. Each time do the same. Because you have asked forgiveness then the bad thoughts are not written down against you. You are fine. Do not have guilt. No guilt. Carry on with simran.

  3. My understanding is that EVERY relationship in sikhi can be made GURMAT. Even all your behavior towards an enemy can be made Gumat. If someone chooses their own sikh partner for wedlock, then that can also be done in the most utmost gurmat manner. The problem with you guys is that your definitions of boyfriend/girlfriend are the real issue.

  4. The thing to realise is that there will be always be a certain percentage of people who are stupid. This has been true throughout history and is the same in our time. I remember something interesting someone told me that some people have transmigrated from the jooni of beasts like cattle and sheep into human life too quickly and thus are totally unequipped for human life and will soon head back into the jooni of beasts after this life. This could be an apt description for those who convert to Islam or born Muslims who remain in their religion. The most ironic aspect of this dawah guy and others like him is that they are as stupid as the people they seek to convert. Islam contains and attracts the stupidest people around. Over a period of time stupidity has become inbred. It becomes a trait among these people. Those born into Islam who are intelligent are dumbed down by their religion. We make the mistake of assuming that everyone is inherently sensible and have some intelligence and therefore should have enough intelligence to realise that Islam is a political ideology devoid of any spirituality masquerading as a religion. We make this assumption because we ourselves can see Islam for what it is but if you are stupid and fed on PC garbage about how Islam is a religion of peace then you don't see the disconnect between what you are being told and what is the reality around you. What person other than one who is stupid would convert to a religion whose founder was a slave trader and a rapist? Why would anyone other than a stupid person stay in a religion knowing what the true practitioners of that religion are doing in Iraq and Syria. The first convert to Islam I ever came across was a white guy many years ago who said he converted because 'Neil Armstrong had heard the Muslim call to prayer on the moon and had become a Muslim because of that'! This was the reason for this white guy converting! Everyone should be aware that that particular story as well as all other such celebrity conversion to Islam stories are a fake. But who but a stupid person would convert to Islam without verifying that the story he is being told is true or not. This is the gist of the issue, that the stupid people will be attracted to the ideology which elevates their stupidity. The more stupid you are the more Islam makes sense to you. Read any Muslim conversion testimony and you will realise that most of the positive aspects of Islam which attracted these people to Islam simply do not exist. They have been fed lies and for most they will never realise that they have been lied to because as converts they are told that any questioning of Islam may lead them to unbelief and then into hell fire! Those who will realise that they have been lied to will come to that realisation when it is too late. As women these converts will be married off and have kids and then come to realise that if they leave Islam they will lose their kids to the father as per Islamic law. By the time they realise they have been lied to them will have become well integrated into the community of the stupid from which no escape is possible without facing a death sentence.

  6. Unfortunately caste does exist whether we like it or not our Guru sahibs told us not to indulge in such practices and to destroy our caste and lineage by asking for and receiving khande de phul which brings us into the khalsa family. Had we listened and received Amrit / kept Rehat this would not have been an issue today it can only be eradicated in this way otherwise those who do not receive Amrit or after receiving Amrit and more importantly do not keep Rehat will keep coming up against this evil.

  9. I remember many years ago when i was in college one of my friends, who came from a Punjabi/Sikh family and decided Sikhism wasn't for him and decided to convert to Christianity, now every break/lunch time he would do my head in about the wonders of his new found religion and all the support the people around him gave, it got to a point where some of the stuff he was saying was becoming borderline offensive towards not just Sikhism but pretty much every religion, i ended up having a pretty big debate with him and simply asking him how much he actually knew about Sikhism and what made him convert, so, outside of just the basics he had no idea what his religion was or what it stood for (bear in mind he wasn't a practising sikh but his parents were), now, i put the blame for this firmly at his parents feet, they failed to educate their child about the religion he was growing up around which in turn made him go where someone was willing to explain more, on the flip side he didn't even bother to ask about his religion and decided to jump ship at the first possible turning, so, i may be rambling on but my point is this whole conversion thing isn't new, it's just a little more in you face now because of social media. We have a few of these "Dawah" men in our city centre on a weekend and whenever i'm in town i'll make sure i walk pass them, they have never stopped me nor have i seen them stop a Sikh with a turban, every time i see them they are harassing some poor sod who doesn't know what question to ask, it's a numbers game for them and they are like used car salesmen, they believe the more people they convert the better for them, i'd love to see a Muslim just trying to educate people about hid religion like the Basics of Sikhi guy's do as opposed to trying to convert everyone and their grandmother.

  11. Your question sbhullar @sat if your daughter come and ask same thing, what would you do , will you kill her ? What a question seems your foolishness has no limits, has your father killed you or are you out to kill your poor parents  it seems whoever has a different view to you, you seem to attack them with your words like the statement you have made above maybe this immaturity is another reason why your parents are reluctant to go with your plans. I have read your post and replies and conclude you are an argumentative person who knows it all, then why have you posted here for advice if you know it all ! Do as you wish but we can only advice on as per rehat set by the hukam of the the tenth lord , a Sikh would never harm his or another daughter only a foolish person who does not follow Guru ji's hukam would suggest such a thing. My reply would be both take khande de phul keep rehat for at least two years and stay apart and then after which get married. Are you willing to do this ? Our Father destroyed castes for us by giving us khande de phul and rehat but those who do not receive or follow Guru hukam keep suffering and blaming others and do not look at themselves.

  17. http://manvirsingh.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/shaheed-bibi-balbir-kaur-jee.html Shaheed Bibi Balbir Kaur Jee... In this world people die every day, but none knows how to die. Whosoever dies, let them die such a death that they may not have to die again." Ang 555 A GLIMPSE AT THE MARTYRDOM OF SHAHEED BIBI BALBIR KAUR JEE Sikhs under British Raj During the British Raaj, the Sikh Gurdware were under the control of Nirmala and Udaasi Mahants (caretakers) who had introduced anti-Sikh practices such as consuming meat, drugs, alcohol and even dancing prostitutes in Sikh institutions. Realising the spirit and threat of the Sikhs uprising to seek freedom, the British made the Mahants more powerful and ensured that the Sikhs didn't control or manage their own Gurdware. The Singh Sabha and Akali Movements rejuvenated the spirit, faith and consciousness of the Sikh population, which led to a non-violent movement to free the Sikh Gurdware from corrupt non-Sikh control and re-introduce Gurmat Maryada in Sikh institutions. The State of Nabha The Maharaja of Nabha, Ripudaman Singh, was a Gursikh minded ruler. He considered himself a humble servant of the Panth and supported the Akali Movement in freeing the Gurdware from the clutches of the Mahants. In protest against the British oppression of the Sikhs, the Akalis promoted that all Sikhs should wear black dastaars (turbans), as black was a colour of protest. Nabha was the only state in Punjab were Sikhs could freely wear black dastaars, keep their beards flowing and wearing Baanaa (Khalsa attire) without being arrested. Elsewhere Sikhs wearing black dastaars were arrested and put in jail, as they were suspected as troublemakers. Fearing a Sikh uprising with the help of Maharaja Ripudaman Singh, the Maharaja was arrested and taken to Delhi. Protest against Maharaja Ripudaman Singh's expulsion In protest the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC), working in collaboration with the Shiromani Akali Dal, conducted Akhand Paath Sahibs at various places to openly express their outrage at this injustice and demanded the reinstatement of the Maharaja. Sikhs in Jaito initiated an Akhand Paath Sahib of Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee at the Gurdwara Sahib. Unfortunately, it was not allowed to be completed. Soldiers forcibly arrested the Singhs performing the Akhand Paath and committed sacrilege. This was an attack on the Guru and the Panth. This was an open challenge to Guru Khalsa Panth's freedom and honour. Protest against Jaito Gurdwara sacrilege Akali leaders decided to accept this challenge. They immediately announced a non-violent morcha (movement) for the resumption and completion of the interrupted Akhand Paath, this happened in 1924. An Ardaas was done at Sri Akaal Takht Sahib, and the Khalsa vowed to complete 101 Sri Akhand Paaths in response to the sacrilege. Thousands of Sikh men, women and children flocked to Amritsar ready to shed their lives for the respect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee. After seeking blessings at Sri Akaal Takht Sahib, a Jatha of 500 Sikhs was sent to march to Jaito. Walking in a column of 4, bare footed, with black dastaars on their head and repeating "Waheguru, Waheguru, Waheguru..." they vowed to peacefully march to Jaito. The group of peaceful protesters sent from Amritsar were known as "Shaheedi Jathas" (group of martyrs), as they accepted death before they began. Some Singhs did Ardaas at Sri Akaal Takht Sahib that their home, land and money all goes to the Panth after they die and another lady cried out that she is unfortunate that Vaheguru only blessed her with one son, because if she had two, she would send both to attain martyrdom for the respect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee. Bibi Balbir Kaur meets the Shaheedi Jatha Soon they the Shaheedi Jatha reached its first rest-stop. Although the British had warned that any person serving food or water to the Jathas sent from Amritsar would be punished, villagers in their hundreds flocked to do the seva (selfless service) of the Singhs and Singhnia. One of these villagers serving the Jatha was Bibi Balbir Kaur jee. She joined the Jatha but was asked by the Jathedaar to return. Bibi jee's eyes filled with tears. She said, "Veer! Do not stop me from serving the living martyrs of Guru Gobind Singh jee. Seva is the only essence of this life. Beside we never know when death will come upon us. I plead for permission to continue for Guru's sake. Let me proceed." Jathedaar could not break her heart. He reluctantly gave permission, especially when faced with her utter display of self-sacrifice. Bibi Jee joins the Jatha Bibi Balbir Kaur jee was 22 years old, full of youth and beautiful. Guru jee's faith and feelings of selfless service for humanity had generated such a glow on her face that she seemed like the embodiment of purity. She was not alone. She was accompanied by her two year old beautiful son. The playful happy face of this child was not only Balbir Kaur's joy but the source of amusement for the whole Jatha. The journey was nearing completion. Jatha prepared to depart from its final rest-stop. The Jathedaar stood on a high spot and pleaded for the return of the accompanying Sangat. The British forces had dug-in with machine gun. This information had previously reached the Jatha. The Jathedaar did not hide this information from anyone. He said, "With Guru's blessing, our Shaheedi (martyrdom) awaits. However, only those GurSikhs, who have Sri Akaal Takhat's Hukam, should proceed further. Others should return and await their turn." The Sangat stopped and let the Jatha proceed. However, not everyone obeyed the Jathedaar's instructions. Thirst for Martyrdom The Jathedaar tried to persuade Bibi Balbir Kaur jee to not continue further, however spirit and courageous words made the Jathedaar accept. The British troops awaited the Jatha and opened fire on them. They showered them with rain of bullets. Whilst peacefully reciting "Waheguru... Waheguru... Waheguru..." Singhs courageously fell to the ground. Suddenly Bibi jee was hit by a bullet in her forehead. Her whole face was covered with blood, eyes were covered with blood. However, this did not affect her march. She continued with the chanting of "Waheguru... Waheguru... Waheguru..." with her son in her arms. Suddenly another bullet hit Bibi Balbir Kaur jee's child. The bullet pierced the child through his ear and then hit Balbir Kaur's chest. The child died immediately and proceeded to the Guru's court. Bibi jee kissed his forehead and placed his body with the other martyrs saying "Waheguru look after your given gift." However, she did not stop. Her face had turned yellow from the loss of blood. She had no strength left to continue. Another bullet came straight in Bibi jee's chest, pierced her body and left from the other side. Falling on the ground she embraced martyrdom and her soul left to join her child in Kalgidhar Father's protection. Summary Bibi Balbir Kaur jee showed a Gursikh's love, devotion, and fearlessness to maintain the respect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee. Bibi jee sacrificed her life and her son's life for the sake of respect of Guru jee and honour of the Panth. The Gursikhs who participated in the peaceful protest showed that the Panth is more important than our lives and personal interests. For the sake of the Panth Gursikhs sacrificed their homes, sons and lives. May Guru jee bless us all with the spirit, love and devotion of serving the Panth and put Guru jee and the Panth before anything else. Dhan Hai Guru, Dhan Hai Teree Sikhee!

Out of respect for your parents please keep trying to convince them this year but if they put society and hindu caste system ahead of there daughters happiness and future then remember that 95% of Sangat support u and will do as if u family to us. U can ignore the usual hindu caste system supporters as they dont support Gurmat or Rehat Maryada which says no sanjog can be stopped because of hindu caste system. Would you sacrifice your family member for society or you would save family first n then society????? 2. He is a one in a million guy.he got so many alliance from US , MBBS girls etc . 35. Caste shouldn't even be an issue ! Parents should be thankful that their child is intending to make a life commitment with a sikh partner, as it could easily have been a muslim, hindu, gora..rastafarian...in this day and age! The op and her partner have to assure themselves and be certain that by being together they will bring out and encourage the best sikhi in each other. To bring out and purify the union between their jyots and Waheguru's jyot. This is all that matters in house of Guru Nanakji. If the intentions are such and they firmly believe the union is on the path to TRUTH, then im' afraid, along the way there will always be some people coming and crossing this path in order to divert it.............This is the play of maya.........it's deceit, illusion, plays of ego, haumai,..... lobh.... Marriage, and especially Anand Karaj is sacred. If you want to perform this sacred act, then don't let other people's arrogance of maya come into play to stop you and your goal to Truth. Tell your parents why you want to marry and who you want to marry. Tell them, that you have no intentions for marrying or dishonoring Guru's anand karaj for the sake of the mayaavi world and it's blind beliefs. Do this with pure and truthful intentions....and God and Hukam shall be your true guide.

Awesome movie trailer, hope these state sponsor terrorist demonic murderous cops who have thousands of innocent sikhs blood on their hands watch this film and feel fear of death, they may be to hide their fake encounters from general public but Waheguru power- KAAL-death sees everything, when its their time- KAAL will annihilates these demonic murderous cops. They are half dead anyway as fear has got to them. Psychological trembling with fear of death in their mind is much more severe than one shot physical death...they are quite fearful already, they are half dead body just alive for their final time as KAAL has already take life out these murderous cops. Divine justice in form of Psychological trembling death in fear in their mind is more severe than physical court justice while that should also be pursued by sikh human rights groups.

  37. I don't know which 'community' you belong to but the one I belong to are football mad (hence the sheer number of dastar wearing Singhs in the stadium the whole world sees on their TV's each time a premier league match is televised). I remember my grandad telling me how, when he was little in Punjab, cricket was unheard of the pends. The only games they knew and loved were volleyball, kabaddi and football whereas cricket was known as the game played by the Bombay and Karachi wallahs. Just as Bombay and Karachi were alien places in lands that didn't belong in Punjab their pathetic excuse of a 'sport' where nothing happens for 5 hours and then someone hits a ball with a stick and then nothing happens again were also alien. But then seomething happened. What happened was that, because we mattered, a Karachi walla (Jinnah) made promises to us to join him, and then a Bombay wallah (Nehru) saw what the Karachi wallah just did and made even better promises to us if we joined him. We (and I promise I'll remember the cricket analogy in a moment), fell for the Bombay wallah's promises and went with him (btw, the Bombay wallah's promises were for an independant 'Khalistan'). So....'cricket'....Well, now that the bombay wallah's have taken us over I suppose we have no choice but to embrace their game. India or Pakistan ? Is this not the same as asking whether i prefer pol pot or genghis khan as a mass murderer ?

  42. This person is a "troll", more than likely not even Sikh a fake member joined up cause trouble. With a obviously anti Sikh agenda, check the posters previous posts she's in denial of State sponsored genocide against Sikhs and other minorities, seems to support the suppression of human rights and failure to recognise the distinct separate national identity of ethnic minorities in India discriminated against my the Indian constitution. Sounds like a very RSS mindset agenda.

  47. That's correct as often happens the descendants of great people often end up corrupted as they try to live of the legacy of their predecessors. We see that when great Sants pass away their chelas often act in corrupt ways afterwards. Khem Singh Bedi was a firm supporter of British rule, he actually opposed moves by Sikhs to allow 'low caste' worshippers into Gurdwaras.I suppose the children also drifted from Sikh values hence Amitabh's mother.
