  1. What a muppet. Secular non-khalistanis fight in the gurdwara and this India loving simpleton called hrman comes along and tries to pin it on 'khalistanis' Anyway, some serious fighting going on those videos. I'm pretty shocked by the intensity of these Amrika wale Singhs and Kaurs. We never see fights of that calibre in UK Gurdwaras. Some serious lessons to learn here but the one that sticks out most of all is how, once again, it has been shown just how blunt the kirpans are and how they thus defeat their very object. The object, as prescribed by our 10th master, is to be able to defend the weak. But, once again, we can see how the average kirpan is actually way more blunt and able to cause slightly less damage than a childrens' plastic toy sword available for 99 pennies at the 99p store. There's one man swinging it wildly onto people's bodies, esecially one lady's hand, and at the end of it the lady ends up with a very very slight scratch on the hand. I mean a scratch so small she'll have to tell you its an injury before you know it is one. There's a real pattern developing here. First we had that mad free for all sword fight at the Golden Temple a few years ago that made international news. At the end of that sword fight, where all the Singhs were swinging open talwars at each other, just one person got slightly injured and that was a slight bruise rather than a cut the swords were so blunt. And then you had the Siinghs and Kaurs that tried to finish off general Brar on his visit to Central London a few years ago, They got him....they cornered him....they got him down and then they tried to cut his throat with their kirpans. The kirpans however, we so blunt that Brar ended up with nothing more than a slight shaving injury on his chin.

  2. There is a lot of truth in this, from a warrior kaum that held shastar and knowledge of their usage in high esteem , we have turned the very shastar into symbolic heirlooms. Blunt kirpans that are strictly forbidden to ever be removed from their sheaths.. Even worse kirpans substituted for wearing a blunt metal kirpan cutout on a black thread around ones neck as a substitute... The 10th Master worshipped weapons as his peers, there is no greater respect of shastar then learning how to utilise them and understand the science if their usage. This is true shastar pooja. A bunch of fat overweight individuals with blunt kirpans only useful for spreading butter on toast is not the Khalsa Fauj the 10th master created.

  3. Penji, the transformation is going come from within yourself and Waheguru's grace. One can only advise or motivate with words, and we can help each other through words, but not change somebody's karam or situation. That is in Waheguru's grace, ask them to help you. Every soul has their own problems, don't think you are alone. And, Keep happy, motivated and stress-free. ? This is a nice shabad;

  5. Do visit himachal pradesh in India.There are many historical Gurudwaras there and the beauty of nature will surely add memories to your trip.Paonta Sahib Gurudwara is situated on the banks of river Yamuna, this is the place whereGURU GOBIND SINGH SPEND a lot of time.This place is connected to all other major hill stations.the only problem you can face is the extreme cold here.If you are planning to stay at Amritsar it s hard to get accommodation inside Gurudwara premises.Go for online booking of a nearby hotel and try to see the Amritvela at Darbar Sahib.Manali is another hotspot in the hilly area.

Paaji U are doing a wonderful job.nobody is perfect in this world but recognising our drawbacks and working upon them is not easy.But u have not just decided to kill the negative side of urs but also have worked consistently over it.I can foresee your victory in this battle.So keep up the spirit and achieve ypur aim. regarding your loneliness there are many people in this world who have become negative because of their wrong choices fr life partners.feel yourself lucky as you just have to manage your own stuff and I think it s the best time when you can bring about a transformation in yourself.Once you are in a relation you hardly get time to work upon yourself .

  8. I want to change my thought process from negative side to positive side.right now my life is totally messed up I am struggling hard in all aspects of life.I have tried to take support from GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI by doing PATH but somehow I get lost in the thought process and I am not able to do PATH consistently.I am focusing more ob the problems whereas I believe I should focus more on WAHEGURU.I have seen many people are trying to change their habbits with the help of real people on this forum.So I have decided I will try to get rid of all the negativity with the help of all you people and emerge as a pure soul.I think I should start with reciting MOOL MANTAR daily for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening for forty days and then I can go to next level.Second problem is I am so much effected by turmoil in my personal life that I always talk about what has happened to my friends due to which I am not able to move on.so here I pledge I will not even mention anything that has happened to anyone for next forty days.pl try to post positive and inspirational posts and help me to rebuild myself.U people are amazing and always help with the most genuine advices.I request u all to help me in bringing about this transformation. 11. here is the excerpt from nidars 2016 letter lets not divert from the real issue http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-29593336 http://www.newindianexpress.com/nation/RSS-Indias-No.1-Terror-Group-Former-Mumbai-Police-Officer/2015/11/26/article3148195.ece RSS are a radical right-wing hindu nationalist organisation, Nidar has all these years called the Sikhs extremists, radicals, purists yet he has joined the most radical extremist organisation out there, implicated in scores of terrorist attacks on christians, muslims and sikh minorities in india. How will nidars christian and muslim students feel about his RSS LINKS ! how many times have we told his student that he is RSS, and they have defended him - how can they defend him now even when he dropped the Hindu from his Hindu-Sikh Shastarvidiya title - it was due to his students not being able to justify it to others. the cat is out of the bag - he has succeeded in turning you guys (his students) against his own people - you bunch of dumb muppets your people are languishing in jails and countless mothers have lost their sons to policies inspired by their ideology and you still come here to defend him. he is a joke - and anyone that sticks with him now will be a joke do yourselves a favour - scrape together any last ounce of dignity you may have left and make peace with your fellow sikhs and do some seva, rebuild lost links to sikhi, to make up for the damage that has been done by this RSS infiltrating scumbag. and if that isn't enough just go ask his wife and kids how they feel about him. to those that have realised nidar was dodgy all along, it is never to late to mend old friendships, and we are here to help not judge so please do get in touch if you want to talk about it there is no shame to admit a mistake and make amends through seva and helping others not to make the same mistake. we have always conducted ourselves in a peaceful manner and only sought to highlight and educate others with reason and evidence.

  12. Just wondering op, but why would you bring in an unrelated issue of Khalistan in this which has absolutely nothing to do with the temple fights? Surely Sikh ruled Khalistan would not be a more "horrible idea" than the disasters that is currently Hindu India and Muslim Pakistan.

  17. The first step is always recognising you have a problem or rather you want o become a better person. The second is looking for ways to do it. When you do path regularly it will change your thinking pattern automatically. Even if you dont feel that anything that happened when you prayed that is not true. Some little part of you gets affected. If you stick to your path habits and devote the same amount of time everyday at possibly the same time - this is when you will see the true results emerging. Your focus from your personal problems is going to be diverted and your attention to Waheguru is going to increase. Try not to talk about your negative aspects to your friends. Think before you talk and be aware that every word makes a difference somewhere or another.

  18. Going a bit further with the point of Mukti arised by Preet Pen Jee above, I would like to share a few clarifying words full of wisdom by our beloved First Patshahee in Asa Dee Vaar: ਨਾਉ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨੁ ਰਹਸੀਐ ਤਾ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ Naao Sun Man Rehaseeai Thaa Paaeae Mokh Dhuaar नाउ सुणि मनु रहसीऐ ता पाए मोख दुआरु Hearing the Name, the mind is enraptured; then, he attains the gate of salvation. Here Guru Jee is telling us, that by listening to the Shabad Dhun, the mind is defeated. And once the mind is defeated, the soul is thus liberated from its clutches and its master Kal Purukh. And then proceeds further towards the gate of salvation, which is our Nijh Ghar Sach Khand. * And all this happens not by the merits or efforts of the soul, but by grace and love of the Shabad Guru towards that particular jeeva/soul. Then only is Mukti achieved. Not by interference of any other divinity or god.... Be it Vishnu(Krishna, Ram...), Brahma or Shiva, just to name a few among all these care takers of the mayavee creation. Then in the following line, Guru Jee tells us about how to listen that Shabad Dhun within us, in order to achieve what He mentioned about mukti in the previous line above. One knows the Truth only, when he knows the true method or "jugtee" So now the question is, what is that method or jugtee by which one comes to know the Supreme Truth? The answer to that, is the essence of Gurmat, of Sikhee, which is none other, than His simran. Guru Jee beautifully and in very simple words, directly tells us something which is constantly repeated in each and every ang : Ik Oankar Satnam, Satgur Parsad Jap. This is the jugtee, which Guru Sahiban, stresses upon right from the begining. This means, do His Simran, and you will merge in Him. Can we ever be thankful to our Guru Sahiban, for being so merciful on us, by letting us know the Supreme Truth, thus taking us away from manmukhta, from braham, from brahamanavadee ....in which almost the whole world is drowned happily.... Such a pity ! Sat Sree Akal.

  21. The Sikh Festivals: Maghi Introduction MaghiMaghi is the occassion when Sikhs commemorate the sacrifice of forty Sikhs, who fought for Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Maghi, Makara Sankranti, the first day of the month of Magh. The eve of Maghi is the common Indian festival of Lohri when bonfires are lit in Hindu homes to greet the birth of sons in the families and alms are distributed. In the morning, people go out for an early-hour dip in nearby tanks. For Sikhs, Maghi means primarily the festival at Muktsar, a district town of the Punjab, in commemoration of the heroic fight of the Chali Mukte, literally, the Forty Liberated Ones, who laid down their lives warding off an attack by an imperial army marching in pursuit of Guru Gobind Singh. The action took place near a pool of water, Khidrane di Dhab, on 29 December 1705. The bodies were cremated the following day, the first of Magh (hence the name of the festival), which now falls usually on the 13th of January. Following the custom of the Sikhs to observe their anniversaries of happy and tragic events alike, Maghi is celebrated with end-to-end recital of the Guru Granth Sahib and religious divans in almost all gurdwaras. Significance The day of Maghi is observed to honour the heroic fight of the Chali Mukte, or the Forty Liberated Ones, who sacrificed their own lives defending an attack by the imperial army marching in pursuit of Guru Gobind Singh. The action took place near a pool of water, Khidrane di Dhab, on 29 December 1705. Celebration Sikhs celebrate the Maghi with an end to end recital of the holy Guru Granth Sahib and religious rituals in all the Sikh Gurudwaras. On the eve of Maghi falls the common Indian festival called the Lohri when bonfires are lighted in Hindu homes and alms are also distributed. . however The largest assembly, however, takes place at Muktsar (Punjab) where big fairs are organized and pilgrims take a holy dip in the sacred waters of sarovar and also visit several shrines. A mahala or big march of pilgrims from the main shrine to gurdwara Tibbi Sahib, sacred to Guru Gobind Singh, concludes the three-day celebration.

  23. sikhni777, Nice words jee. But I would say, these deities have their powers due to the role they have to play in the creation, not that they ask for it. Just as law authorizes a policeman to catch a thief, or a judge to send someone to prison .... In a similar way, Nature has given them(these gods) such attributes in order not to display them but to run the mayavee creation to an extent. That´s it. Because as you very well say in a line below, they also ask for the alms for the Lord´s meditation and praise. Then if so is the case, then naturally it makes no sense in worshipping them, but rather according to the Bani, directly to Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Because as stated beautifully at the end of the Shabad quoted by you above, they too, if they want emancipation, they too have to come first in the human joonee, and grasp the Feet of a Gurmukh, of a Sadh Jana, who are one with Wahiguru Akal Purukh, and thus get the Amrit Naam from them. Sat Sree Akal.

  24. The message of Gurbani is to accept the Bhaana of Akaal Purakh. Anyone who does that, the least he/she will do as a start is quit dishonoring his/her hair in any way/shape/form. Gurbani is written in "chautha paad", i.e. enlightened state of consciousness. Lets not take everything literally. There are deeper meanings to what Gurbani teaches us. Please run a search on this forum. This question has been answered in huge details several times.
