  1. Some fools will surely post about how this guy did beadbi to the dastaar and blah blah blah. I say, good job Singho. Gurbani teaches us to respect and assist all creatures of Waheguru. That dog was pyara to Waheguru as every living being is pyara to Waheguru.

  2. That's what sets Sikhs apart from the rest. Sikhs don't just stand there making a video of someone or something in distress like most people would now days.

  3. I used to believe this too that modern education is the key to good leadership. But when we look around we see very few examples of educated Sikhs presenting good leadership. Look at Sukhbir Badal, he was educated in Oxford! Benazir Bhutto also studied in UK. And this is true for many current South Asian leaders, including Nehru. Yet heir leadership has proven to be a social, financial, economic disaster for the people of South Asia. Punjab under the Oxford educated Sukhbir has hit rock bottom like no time before in its modern history. On the other hand Maharaja Ranjit Singh who was literally illiterate in the true sense of the word has been one of the greatest leaders North India ever produced. He was so illiterate that he would have to do his signature with his hand or finger print (angutha chhaap!). Yet this one eyed illiterate man built an economically prosperous country from scratch which contained social justice, there were never any Hindu Muslim riots, Sunni Shia riots like we see in today's South Asia which is being ruled by so called educated people many of whom are educated from the west. In future when the Panth needs leadership, it will be led by Dharmi Singhs. But now Sikhs need to just focus on Parchar to the masses by de indoctrinating them from western and Indian secular ideologies and bring them to the basics of Sikh Dharm. Sikh Qaum will be strong only if they are strong in their Sikhi. Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale always did Parchar for Sikhs to get stronger in observing Sikhi and Rehit. He left behind the ideology, we just been to follow it.

  4. Dr Ambedkar himself converted to Buddhism but doesn't distinguish it as a separate religion per constitution. I don't know. The Sikh conversion talks were 1935-36. Akalis-Gandhi discouraged him to join Sikhism. Akalis were downright verbally abusive to him saying if they did they would be classified as Majabi Sikhs and much more. So he was put off and may be he was holding a grudge . Maybe you can suggest a better way to achieve Khalistan now? Anyway Sikhi is about empowering all people we had a good opportunity to do both(Khalistan+new Sikhs) but we blew it. Now logistically its downright impossible unless we have divine intervention.

  5. Who is all that hundreds of gallons of milk used for in Darbar Sahib? it is for the millions who visit every year. If flowers have life then what better way to end it by being showered over your Guru?

  6. Bhaji, you think that Guru Ji does not know about His hungry children? You think Guru Ji relies on us to feed His hungry children? Who put His hungry children on this world? Why were His hungry children put on this world? This is not to say we do nothing, of course we do but there is nothing greater than your Guru. You do not buy a ramalla, what point is that? You buy the cloth, and then sew the ramalla with your own hands. Then you wash the ramalla and iron it. If at any point it touches the floor you wash it and iron it again. Then you take it to your Guru and with all the love in your heart present it with humility, you gonna stop doing your adhav and satkaar of Guru Ji because of others? Let them do what they do.

  7. Not sure how your wife is brother, but I can tell you that my wife is more generous to the needy than even I. I am blessed by Waheguru. Please explain how Guru ji finds it pleasing that his children go hungry while we give fancy rumala's to Guru ji? The golak of a Gurdwara is the mouth of the poor. Big difference between helping the needy vs presenting fancy rumala sahib to Guru Ji. Everyone has their sharda and I'm not trying to stop someone from doing it. But open your eyes. Look at what happens at Darbar Sahib every day. The SGPC and bazaar owners are in cahoots....every day someone buys a fancy rumala sahib, takes it to Darbar Sahib where the granthi disrespectfully throws it on Guru Ji and immediately removes it forcibly. They then take those rumala sahibs and sell them back to the bazaar at a discount....and the cycle continues.

  8. From SikhiWiki, It's also present in multiple Gukta's I have at home and also in some apps, that's why im confused, because that bindi changes the pronunciation of it completely. I was at a time but work caught up to me, though I think in this case I should manage it there.

  9. Do you do this when you are buying a present for your wife? Do you intend to spend £100 on her present and then just spend £20 and give the other £80 to feed the poor? Do you spend money on your mother/father/children and then spend a fraction of it and the rest goes to the poor? If you don't then why not start at home first and then talk about your Guru. Sangat ji when you intend to spend money for your Guru remember where that maya has come from, never squeeze your pocket, never look at the price, spend on your Guru with eyes closed. Then see what your Guru gives back.

  10. Before I begin, I'm not trying to stop you from presenting a rumula sahib to Guru Ji. If this is your sharda, do it. All gurdwaras are overstocked with rumala sahibs. We live in a society where people spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on super fancy rumala sahibs. Is this pleasing to Waheguru? Gurbani teaches us to be modest and help others be modest. Let's say person A spends $500 on a rumala sahib and person B spends $100 on a rumala sahib and uses the other $400 to feed the hungry. What person will please Guru ji more? If one cuts his hair, eats meat, looks at women in a sexual manner but presents a fancy rumala sahib to Guru ji, is all forgiven? If another man works hard, shares his little earnings with those even less fortunate than him and thanks Waheguru daily for giving him life and a soul to pray to Waheguru, does he need to present a rumala sahib to Guru ji? Sorry If I have offended you but my message is that we really should take a step back and consider what pleases the Guru.

  11. Sikh guys are cucked by their parents, a hypocritical and degenerate Punjabi culture, then by a distorted and increasingly weak western society, and then they get married, lol. Just cut your balls off when you emerge from the womb, and make everyone happy, lol. OP: Learn your lesson from this and grow.

  12. I don't think it is wise to mix one's personal prejudicial views about Muslims or Islam with forming a strategic alliance with Pakistan. An enemy of an enemy is a potential friend, let's not forget this very important strategy. Look at the example of the wise Kurds. They don't like Assad or the government of Baghdad but that doesn't stop them from forming an alliance with each other and in the process gaining and enlarging Kurdistan at the expense of ISIS and FSA held territory. "You scratch my back and I'll scratch your's" is what it is all about. Try to understand this. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. This is what Kharkoo Singhs did. No one is a permanent enemy. look at our own Ithihas where we formed alliance with former enemies. When Punjab was under Afghan occupation, Sikhs had formed an alliance with Adina Beg(representing mughals) and the Marathas to drive out the Afghans. It was this 3 party alliance which then drove out the Afghans which now Hindu nationalists wrongly claim as a "Marathas victory" when in fact the Marathas were just one of the 3 members of this alliance, without the Sikhs this victory could not have been possible. This success was short lived though because Abdali returned and crushed the Marathas during the 3rd battle of Panipat and after that carried out the the Vada Ghalukara after the battle of Kup. And during the second Anglo Sikh war, the Sikhs had formed an alliance with the Afghans against the British. And I'm thinking maybe the Sikhs should have used the same far sightedness in 1857 by regaining our lost Raaj by kicking the British out of Punjab instead of helping them crush everyone else.

  14. That's exactly the aspect of Sikhi I struggled with growing up as a child and even up until quite recently. The overwhelming belief that I could never measure up to those Sikhs of yesteryear, no matter what I did, due to their almost inhumanly perfect demeanours was overwhelming at times. It was incredibly disheartening, particularly for someone such as myself who was incredibly proud of our faith and its tenets. Of course, i would never advocate "lowering the bar" in order to make guys like me feel better about their deficiencies (that way lies the erosion of standards). There must be a higher benchmark that we must strive to reach, yet I'd prefer if it was based on factual history, instead of unrealistic fantasy designed to conjure a mythology on par with the more established faiths we were surrounded by in India.
