  2. Why do you feel a need to say this, bro? The people who don't have a 3 hour Nitnem are not "Punjabi Hindus". I don't know what circles you inhabit, but there are vast numbers of people who aren't in complete Rehit, but are not Hindus by any stretch of the imagination. They do not worship idols, they don't go to mandirs, and when they encounter difficulties or happiness in life (like the birth of a child), they go the the Gurdwara. They may not recite Sukhmani Sahib every day, but they definitely don't recite Gayatri Mantar, either. As far as the definition of a Sikh as per Gurbani, there may only be a handful of people in the entire world that meet that definition. I.e., people who recite the Naam with every single breath: ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਸਿਖੁ ਅਖਾਏ ਸੁ ਭਲਕੇ ਉਠਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥ Gur Sathigur Kaa Jo Sikh Akhaaeae S Bhalakae Outh Har Naam Dhhiaavai || One who calls himself a Sikh of the Guru the True Guru shall rise in the early morning hours and meditate on the Lord's Name. Jo Saas Giraas Dhhiaaeae Maeraa Har Har So Gurasikh Guroo Man Bhaavai || One who meditates on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and every morsel of food - that GurSikh becomes pleasing to the Guru's Mind. Raag Gauri Guru Ram Das So if you missed a breath, you're not a Sikh.

  3. I didn't talk about staying at home. I am talking about those women who are out on long shifts/commutes while their offspring are getting drunk, groomed, doing shisha/hookah/smoking or some other wrong society. Are they teaching them sikhi and dharmik values, naam bhagti? Or are they just tired out and also just teaching kids to just go towards money and forget about sikhi, dharam and kesh identity? There's a big difference between kirat kamai and lobh/greed!!!

  4. Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji didn't discriminate between satguru as their is only one same satguru for every yug. He told us to praise, worship, meditate on the one and only satguru. He wrote about the 24 incarnations of Vishnu and he corrected what happened actually to the 24 incarnations. If Krishna and Vishnu were satguru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji would have said it in his writing about them. Instead he wrote to say I don't praise them or think of them, I hold Mahakaal ( which translates into Vaheguru in this context as he is the destroyer of all) praise only in my mind.

  5. Not anti muslim I am anti-islam extremism there is a difference. And I am just giving the sangat relevant topics that concern our community. The more we learn about the tactics and news of those who want to harm our communities the more we can can protect ourselves and the most vulnerable. Would you rather continue being spiritual ostriches of 1947 and 1984 (with heads in the sand while the storm is coming ahead?) that most Sikhs are these days. Too soft too liberal too dismissive too ignorant of whats going on out there in the real world cos they dont live in a muslim dominated area of land. I say to the soft liberal politically correct Sikhs.... give it time the dark face of islam will be knocking on your door and life too to wake you up.

  8. There's definitley better Khalistan and Shaheed music out there. More culturally appropriate music, which paints itself in a more honorable way. I hope somebody gives these guys some firearm training. They don't handle their weapons well at all. Props for the map imagery and the #freejagginow shout out, but they might want to train before trying to pull anything off. I kept feeling like they were about to fumble and drop those weapons. My personal rating is a shaky meh, with some smh mixed in, but good for them. Hopefully the proceeds go to some form of charity.

  12. Bhaisahib someone like Jathedaar Balwant Singh Rajoana is an inspiration. They say than imitation is the best form of flattery. So we should imitate gursikhs like Bhai Rajoana who have given their all for the panth and are strong like mountains yet full of love, and through following them, we can also imitate our Guru. Guru sahib bless his beloved Panth to walk His Walk, read HIS words and Feel His Love

  13. Ji, I'm really just a parrot and very uneducated which is why its called basics of Sikhi. i listen to katha by people like Maskeen ji and Bhai Sukhraj Singh from leeds, books like Professor Puran Singh, and of course Baba Wikipedia and SikhiWiki. Gurusahib's hukamnamas from SGGS, and also the sangat of Southall do massive kirpa by giving me tips and what little I know about politics and philosophy from my degree and reading also helps. I came from a background of not knowing Sikhi but learning western philosophy, but also being quite a usual southall lad, so can relate to the youth and the basics
