  1. Yeah I think it's indicative of rudeboy/thuggish immature and full of bravado typical neo-punjabi testosterone type songs these days. Little on substance and focus on why people should opt for khalistan and how khalistan will bring about the betterment and upliftment of punjab and Sikhs. I'm a big fan of Khalistan but this type of music video leaves a bad impression for me and doesn't send the message that we really should be aiming for. If you look at all the successful freedom seeking nationalist movements of the world they have iconic patriotic songs that give the listen a vision of the utopia of their freed lands. Khalistan doesn't have that at the moment because collective Sikh consciousness and Sikh intelligentsia is not woke to take it to that level yet

  2. Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji didn't discriminate between satguru as their is only one same satguru for every yug. He told us to praise, worship, meditate on the one and only satguru. He wrote about the 24 incarnations of Vishnu and he corrected what happened actually to the 24 incarnations. If Krishna and Vishnu were satguru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji would have said it in his writing about them. Instead he wrote to say I don't praise them or think of them, I hold Mahakaal ( which translates into Vaheguru in this context as he is the destroyer of all) praise only in my mind.

  3. Please watch the video before you read my response: MY RESPONSE: Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! As someone who actually supports the concept of an independent state run on Sikh values (Khalistan), I don’t think that songs like this do anything for positive the movement. We need less gang bang hood type of music videos, and we need actual change in terms of drug addiction, female infanticide, low birth rates, lack of education, etc, all of which will actually help the Sikh community, rather than a music video in which we are waving around guns and talking about assassinating people. They put videos of Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, but don’t realize that whenever people came to him asking to join the movement, the first thing he said was to pick up a Gutka before the Gun, because the real power of Sikhi comes from Bani. Baba Bhindranwale also never boasted or showed off, and and neither did he all of a sudden start demanding a separate state, but he primarily focused on major issues in the panth, and used violence as a last resort. Our community has a habit of ignoring the important humanitarian and intellectual work of sevadaars and mainly focusing on the action part. People always talk about Baba Deep Singh as a physical warrior, but forget how he had an entire life of studying Bani that led up to his legendary Shaheedi. We all like to talk about Khalistan, yet forget the main issues affecting the panth like drug addiction, farmer debt, suicide, casteism, sexism, lack of education, low birthrates, etc. The Panth doesn't have the infrastructure to build or support another country, and before we start boasting about end goals, we should at least primarily focus on our main issues. A common response that I get is that this is just a music video, and that it at least does a good job of reminding people about important issues, however I would argue that there are better ways of talking about the issue of Sikh independence without waving around weapons and acting like a gang. The last thing the Panth, and the Khalsitani movement needs right now is even more bad publicity, and videos like this only reinforce the common held belief that the main advocates of Khalistan were from the west. PS: At least they didn’t put a communist flag in this video, it was a decent song tho. TL;DR: Can we focus more on Bani and less on wearing Kaali ? Thanks! Question for the Sangat: What do you guys think of this video?

  7. 1. From Sargun Perspective- Primordial Satguru (Sat Chit- Eternal all pervading Awareness- Nanak- Pure Awareness/Vahiguru in previous yugas-immanent its various attributes(out of infinite) into various kala avtars -highest being in previous yugas-Krishna and highest sargun avtar in kalyug- Sargun Satguru nanak. In the japji sahib teeka six types of avtars -ansa, aveshya, kala, nit, namit, poran avtar ram.-14 and 16 being krishan are mentioned along with sarab kala barpoor- satguru nanak being avtar of parbhram. Gurbani talks about avtar of vahiguroo in each age to propagate and uphold dharma Jab Jab Hoth Aristh Apara Tab Tab Deh Dharat Avtara. (Sri Dasam Granth) Jug Jug Satgur Dhare Avtari (Bhai Gurdas Ji) Sathajug Thai Maaniou Shhaliou Bal Baavan Bhaaeiou || In the Golden Age of Sat Yuga, You were pleased to deceive Baal the king, in the form of a dwarf. thraethai thai maaniou raam raghuvans kehaaeiou || In the Silver Age of Traytaa Yuga, You were called Raam of the Raghu dynasty. dhuaapur kirasan muraar kans kirathaarathh keeou || In the Brass Age of Dwaapur Yuga, You were Krishna; You killed Mur the demon and saved Kans. ougrasain ko raaj abhai bhagatheh jan dheeou || You blessed Ugrasain with a kingdom, and You blessed Your humble devotees with fearlessness. kalijug pramaan naanak gur angadh amar kehaaeiou || In the Iron Age, the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, You are known and accepted as Guru Nanak, Guru Angad and Guru Amar Das. sree guroo raaj abichal attal aadh purakh furamaaeiou ||7|| The sovereign rule of the Great Guru is unchanging and permanent, according the Command of the Primal Lord God. ||7|| 2. There are many examples in gurbani. Cẖaran baḏẖik jan ṯe▫ū mukaṯ bẖa▫e. The hunter who shot Krishna in the foot - even he was liberated. Ha▫o bal bal jin rām kahe. ||1|| I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those who chant the Lord's Name. He is beyond need of any sustenance, free of hate and all-pervading. He has staged His play; He is called the four-armed Lord. He assumed the beautiful form of the blue-skinned Krishna; hearing His flute, all are fascinated and enticed. He is adorned with garlands of flowers, with lotus eyes. His ear-rings, crown and flute are so beautiful. He carries the conch, the chakra and the war club; He is the Great Charioteer, who stays with His Saints. ||10|| 3. From Nirgun, non duality-advait perspective- Off course previous avtars were rejected-called worms, were subjected to kaal because of five element transient nature, this has to be looked at from same point of view -a) rejection of sargun avtars as they are part of 5 elemental play- so one can transcendent in their spirituality-spiritual development from sargun into nirgun worship (personal to impersonal worship of god). Sri Guru gobind singh ji himself also told his followers- jae ham ko paramaesar ouchar hai | thae sabh narak kundd mehi par hai | Those who call me God, will fall into the pit of hell. This vaak of maharaj should be seen as scolding of our father, cannot be taken literally. However overall message behind this vaak of this maharaj should be taken seriously. What Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is saying- don't be attached to my transient (shud bhram sargun) saroop-personal god saroop subjected to 5 elemental play, don't confine me in transient shud sargun saroop. Realize- your and my real saroop which is Nirgun saroop via bhagti, shabad dhun, shabad gian- bhramgyan. Sikhi upholds Absolute truth all the time but while upholding Absolute truth it also praises relative realities as well- for example- vahiguru ji avtar of narsingh we read every day in asa di vaaar- rehras sahib- Vahiguru saved bhagat parlhad ji in Narsingh form: Har Jug Jug Bhagat Upaaiya, Paij Rakhda Aaaiya Ram Rajai Harnakash Dusth Har Maaraya Parhlad Taariaya Ahankarye Nindakha Pitta Daie, Namdev Mukh Laaiya Jan Nanak Aisae Har Seevaaiya, Ant Leh chadaya || Gurmat is bhagti-relative-sargun / gyan-nirgun- absolute blended beautifully- somacha vaad (combined/blended) One of vedic scholar also provides commentary and contextualization on rejection of avtars in sri dasam granth sahib: Attachment- Six types of avtar and Satguru nanak being highest of all-avtar of bhram.

  10. Strange thing about this case is how did they accuse and find out juggy helped run the neverforget84 website? Either someone in british intelligence agencies, indian authorities or someone connected to juggy (i.e his friend or relative) snitched to get him in trouble. He wasnt some random british sikh citizen kidnapped by the Indians while out shopping in punjab. He had political activism against the indian state background so question is how did the Indian's find this out. There seems some deep collusion and mystery to this case

  15. Also I'd like to say it's a good effort the music producers and singers have talent its not all bad track however. The message is not right as people don't really look up to rudeboys/thugs and gangsters. Maybe criminals or school/college teen kids might... but your average person don't they might respect them or they might out of fear of violence but they hate them and wish them dead really. Armed Sikh shaheeds ....all those good people who carried weapons to defend the faith, holy places and the normal innocent people however they will always be loved and remembered for their deeds of bravery for the righteous and good causes. If you look at the 1980s the intelligent and wise hindu punjabi's knew that real armed Sikh separatists were their punjabi brothers and would never try to scare them or turn their guns on them. Only fake sikh indian intelligence agents or criminals/gangsters (hindutva or congress funded) dressed up as Sikhs would try to do that. Sadly the evil Indian authorities were successful in their policies. That is the difference between great punjabi sikh shaheeds like sant bhindranwale amoung many who was respected and feared by oppressive indian authorities not for his alleged "militancy" but the ideological change he was bringing in Sikh and punjabi society by waking up a sleeping sikh consciousness to change their bad ways (of taking intoxicants, feelings of depression and helplessness, fighting for useless anti-sikh issues, etc) and reconnect with their faith. So he died defending the rights of Sikhs and Sikhi and we can see the stark contrast with low life Canadian punjabi thugs/gangsters like bindi johal who died for only drugs and cash.

  21. Agree with the fact that Talaq is not compatible with Sikhi. Even the word comes from Muslim lands. However, I think you paint with too broad a brush when you call divorce an "abrahamic thing". Christianity doesn't allow divorce, except for just a couple of specified situations: Jesus said: He said to them, “It was because you were so hard-hearted that Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another commits adultery.”[a] Matthew 19 Marriage is seen as a holy sacrament in Christianity. By contrast, there is nothing holy about marriage in Islam. It is merely a worldly contract, and divorce is explicitly allowed in the Koran.

  22. second hand nutrients plus all the pollutants and diseases of the bird ... people get a lot of inflammation too after eating , and we know inflammation is bad for the body generally. I suppose if in a squeeze for choice it could be a good alternative to remaining hungry in proper context . Plus the karmic weight of propagating the inhumane industry has to be factored in too.
