  1. Guest Sikhism, what is wrong with you? Why don´t you do a self introspection, and look in your inner mirror before baseless blaming of being egoistical or a sight to behold? That would surely be a pitiful sight. Have you seen or understood what Gurpreet Singh is asking, or the reply I have given him? I think you have not, for you were engrossed in your own ego/hankar, which was hurt, as the reply given differed from your thinking. Nobody is preaching here, so stop talking like the hindu pandits, of elite or utter monks which do not exist in sikhee. In sikhee there is Guru Jee as guru, and all others are of the same class, means Sikhs... no elite, no monks or higher or lower sikhs Then also, Gurpreet is not making any general query as you think it to be. He is asking a specific question, about: if one merges with Wahiguru, does one still have our own mind, and if one can see others and travel, or if on reaching there and becoming Wahiguru along with all others? You see, this is a short simple and a direct question, not a general query as you pretend it to be. So naturally, if your perception is not correct of what the OP is asking, definitely, your response could well be anything, but far from what it ought to be. Then also your baseless accusation of creating karma, by telling someone to stray away completely , for asking more about sikhism, is utter nonsense. For the OP has never asked more about sikhism, but a short simple and specific question about mind and Wahiguru in short, or in other words, about the state of the self when becoming one with Him, as simple as that. So, be humble enough to understand fully what is being said, and stop indulging into mental loose motion. I do not know if you were blinded by your hankar or krodh, but you never saw what I told the posters above, in case you did overlook it, let me reproduce it to you once again: Do you really think, if I wanted anyone to stray away, i would have written the line above? Am I not saying that, for whosoever wants to merge in Him, should do His bhakti wholeheartedly and single minded? And the bhakti I refer to, there is no mention of any elite or monk class, rather for any wadbhagee sikh, who wants Him alone, none other than Wahiguru Akal Purukh. If anything I said, which you really have misunderstood, is that, if you want anything apart from Wahiguru, then, do not follow sikhee, rather any other dharam, where he/she can satisfy their minds with varieties/multiplicity of forms, sizes, and colors... For as brother NEOS1NGH has shared some most beautiful verses above : You see, in the last verse above, it clearly says: Na maan, which means no mind or mindless, so this should answer the question of the OP, for there is no mind, as the mind by itself is a barrier between us and Him. You see, it is all braham through the mind, which makes us see the untruth as something real, and permanent, thus id does not allow to realize Him. Mind is not ours, for it is left behind in the lower dimensions, only the soul is our real self, which belongs to Him, and in Him it returns to become one with Him, through His apaar kirpa only. It is our limited perception of Him and ourselves as individuals, which keeps us deluded all the time, until, as said above, we hold on to Him, through His bhakti, realize our true identity as divine beings, only then will we take the right steps in the right direction, until then, we will be stumbling in our own manmat. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.

The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me; my eye and God’s eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, one love.” —Meister Eckhart “Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first - not through intellectual understanding. The intellect works best in service to our intuition, our inner guidance, soul, God or higher power - whichever term we choose for the spiritual energy that animates life.” —Christiane Northrup Do not do tomorrow what you can do today. If you feel the need to forgive, forgive today. If you feel the need to risk, risk today. If you feel the need to apologise, apologise today. If you feel the need to love someone, love them today. If you feel the need to create something, create something today. If you do this there will be no conflict within, you will grow in Spirit because you will be your true authentic Self - living at full potential. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” —Dalai Lama

  3. The best way to stop this nindya would be to not go watch it. Let the movie crash and burn for disrespecting Sikhi. Hit them where it hurts, let it flop. And that is exactly what is happening, I read the movie is doing terribly and that is a good sign of our people's intelligence. The ignorant theaters will eventually remove the movie from their listings as it isn't bringing in any costumers.

  4. Lol this is such a joke. People are actually getting hyped up over a movie. Why don't you get hyped up over the real thing? Listen to Sri Nanak Prakash Katha. You won't regret it or get your mind messed up by a Bollywood production. http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audio.php?q=f&f=%2FKatha%2F02_Present_Day_Katha%2FGiani_Harbhajan_Singh_Dhudikey_(Vidyarthi_Sampardai_Bhindra)%2FSri_Gurpartap_Sooraj_Parkash_Granth%2FPatshahi_01_-_Sri_Guru_Nanak_Dev_Ji

But Daniel Jean was explicit that he could not tell MPs the whole truth, because much of it remains classified. The upshot was that Jean revealed fewer details on the events surrounding Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s trip to India than he did at the time to journalists (including this one). Jean said he elected to give certain journalists a background briefing in February on convicted attempted-murderer Atwal’s appearance at a reception in Mumbai to counter a “false narrative.” Atwal posed for a photo with Sophie Gregoire Trudeau in Mumbai and was invited to another event at Canada’s embassy in New Delhi by Liberal MP Randeep Sarai. An article in the Vancouver Sun about Atwal’s presence at the event asked how someone with his criminal and Sikh separatist past could be cleared to attend official functions in India. Jean said this is what prompted him to call a handful of journalists in Ottawa the next day to offer an alternative to what he suggested was “co-ordinated misinformation” – that the RCMP, CSIS and the Canadian High Commission were aware of Atwal’s invitations to the events but did not act to rescind them. Jaspal Atwal arrives to read a statement to reporters in Vancouver in March. Ben Nelms for National Post “I never raised a conspiracy theory,” he said. “What I said is that there was co-ordinated efforts to try to misinform and I said these were either private people – it was definitely not the government of India, and if it was people from India, they were acting in a rogue way.” Atwal was a one-time member of the International Sikh Youth Federation – now listed as a terrorist entity by Ottawa – who was convicted in 1987 of trying to kill a Punjab cabinet minister vacationing in B.C. However, he is no longer considered a terrorist threat by Canada or India. The issue for the security services was more that Atwal’s presence was an embarrassment. “It was a faux pas. It should not have happened,” Jean told the committee. He offered a much less fulsome account than the one he gave me on February 22nd, when he alleged Atwal’s presence in India “was not an accident”. He said Atwal had developed links with the Indian government, as his views on Sikh separatism had evolved. “They no longer see him as the enemy,” Jean said at the time, pointing out he had been taken off a travel blacklist, allowing him to visit India twice in 2017. Jean said Atwal met with Indian diplomats from the consulate in Vancouver. Atwal’s own social media account shows he visited the Indian External Affairs department in New Delhi last year. The national security adviser suggested it might be convenient for some in the Indian government to embarrass the visiting Canadian prime minister over the perception that he is soft on Sikh separatism. When I asked which part of the Indian government might be so motivated, he said: “The intelligence service.” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visits the Jama Masjid Mosque in New Delhi on Feb. 22, 2018.Sean Kilpatrick/CP In subsequent interviews, he asked a number of rhetorical questions: Who knew Atwal was in India? Who took the pictures of Atwal with the prime minister’s wife? And who sent them to Canadian media? Jean’s intervention – unprecedented for a national security adviser, in my experience – led to the opposition parties accusing the Liberal government of peddling conspiracy theories that have adversely impacted Canada-India relations. The Indian government subsequently issued a statement denying any involvement – “including by the security agencies” – in the Atwal affair. But rather than pressing Jean for evidence of activity in Canada by rogue Indian operatives, the opposition members of the public safety committee were more intent on blaming the Prime Minister’s Office for wheeling out the national security adviser to engage in damage limitation. Consequently, they emerged from committee none the wiser, which was predictable, but also no better informed, which was not. It’s hard to know what to make of Jean’s testimony. It seems that he may have said too much in late February, although he denies revealing classified information. National security adviser Daniel Jean points to ‘coordinated misinformation’ in Jaspal Atwal affair Andrew Coyne: Serious questions remain around Atwal affair despite partisan silliness Still, his actions have attracted criticism within the intelligence community. Phil Gurski, a former strategic analyst at CSIS who now runs Borealis Threat and Risk Consulting, said on his blog that Jean did what everyone in intelligence knows is wrong: “disclose sensitive information to those not entitled to receive it.” Jean’s questions about how the pictures of the prime minister’s wife and Atwal surfaced are valid. Atwal blamed “enemies” for circulating the photos obtained by the Vancouver Sun, in the article on February 22. But Jean’s defence of CSIS, the RCMP and the High Commission in India can’t deflect from the fact a simple Google search of the names on the invitation list to the Indian events would have revealed. The vetting process was clearly slapdash. But the national security adviser had a line and he was sticking to it. From the government’s point of view, any reminder about the ill-fated passage to India is a trip down misery lane. That Jean did not make things worse will be regarded as something of a triumph. jivison@postmedia.com Twitter.com/IvisonJ

  7. Exactly, there would have been no controversy over Manglacharans being on top or bottom, over missing or added lagamatras, and other human mistakes introduced by Saroop copiers over the centuries. There have been many people who have claimed to have the Damdami Birh, but most of them were never verified and are fake claims.

  8. Khalsa Ji, The entire SGGS is a hukam. What people tend to refer to as ‘Hukamnama’, is actually ‘Mukhvak’. There are days when we may not be as strong as we should be, in terms of nitnem etc. The essence here is the word ‘nit’, meaning daily. As long as we try to follow Gurmat, on a daily basis, then one day we will achieve our destination. With regards to our after life, that depends on our vashna, prior to physical death. If our focus is on Naam, at time of death, then our soul will reside in Guru Ji’s abode. If our focus is on worldly pleasures, then the soul takes re-birth, in order to live out those pleasures. with a daily dose of Gurmat, we will eventually break free from the carnal pleasures. We may have to take further births, but at least Gurmat cleanses our soul. once upon a time, a wise man was meditating with his eyes closed. A young man asked him how long it would take to reach a certain city. The Mahatma didn’t speak. The young man asked about three or four times, but there was no reply. In frustration, the young man decided to walk off. ”It will take you four hours,” the Mahatma shouted after him. ”Why didn’t you tell me, when I first asked you?” Enquired the young man. ”I didn’t know how fast you could walk,” explained the Mahatma. Khalsa Ji, Gurmat will take one to Sachkand, but it depends on how much time and focus, we dedicate. Even if we don’t reach our destination in this life, at least the Gurmat credit will give re-birth in to a Sikh family, and thus, closer to Gurmat again. Repetive Naam Simram, repetive reciting of Bani will drown out the material yearning. Just keep focused on seva and simran. we only need to take a small step towards Gurmat, Satguru Ji takes giant leaps to receive us... waheguru, waheguru, waheguru...

  9. If this is true, then what’s stopping the Hazuri Sikhs from sharing it with the world like Gurbani is meant to be? If we truly do have the Damdami Bir, then we would not have any controvercies like we do today.

  13. The families of a lot of shaheeds are resentful to the movement, they lost everything and are miles behind the average punjabi in terms of financially now. After all, these lost their breadwinners whilst their jameen farms etc were taken by force. Very easy for us in the west to hype about the sangaarsh, we got our luxury homes etc whilst those who gave their sons have got nothing
