  1. The soul knows. The mind can delude the consciousness into self-delusion, but the soul always knows. Nasty. I'd rather kill myself than opt for 5hit like that.

  3. Sant gurbachan singh bhindranwale gives very important indication and updesh to everyone who is sick on death bed or care taker of sick on death bed. Baba ji in gurbani katha of sukhmani sahib asthpadi 21 emphasis strongly that sikh-relatives/or who is sick on death should recite - sargun nirgun nirankar sun samadhi aap, apan kiya nanak ape fir jaap asthpadi so that person who is dying can listen to this astpahadi in hopes that- their surti get attached to sargun nirgun nirankar at the moment of death and they get free from reincarnation - birth and death cycle.

  4. My relative's grand mother passed away a few years ago. At her last day she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her home. Then she said something strange. She said:ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੈਣ ਆਗਏ ਨੇ (they have come to take me away) Her son asked who has come to take you away? she replied: ਜਮਦੂਤ (Jamdoots) But no one except for her could see them. So her son asked where are they? she replied ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਛੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ (they are standing behind you) She then passed away within 1-2 hours. During one's last moments it is best to do only Paath for them. If you are one of those rare cases where a doctor tells you that you have only 5-12 months of life left, it is the wise thing for you to leave everything and just prepare for your departure by doing as much Bhagti as possible of Naam Simran and Paath because these are the only things which will accompany you in the afterlife. All your relatives(spouse, parents, siblings, children etc) will stay here. You come to this world alone and you will depart alone. We have come to this world to do Bhagti of Vaheguru, not to accumulate wealth which we will eventually just end up leaving here anyway. One must always be aware of death. It can happen anytime anywhere.

  6. Veer ji, This is where they confuse you. There are 2 types of evolution: macro and micro. Macroevolution being speciation - what your talking about the birds and that is observed and proven e.g all the dog breeds. However micro evolution is like a bacterium becoming a non-bacterium which has not been seen by us. What they do is blur the boundaries between the fact and the theory so we believe all of it to be true even though the latter has weak evidence e.g. where did 200 genes which are only present in humans and not in anything esle come from. How could 100,000 of nucleotides (DNA letters basically) sort themselves into a specific which parts of your cells read and maintain your body? Really it's absurd and an excuse to get away from Vaheguru ji. This is a good lecture on it exposing the flaws of abiogenesis:

  8. Your mother's friend daughter wants someone who earns 100k and above. The more money a woman makes, the less available suitors will be for her. This is called hypergamy. Women marry up.

  9. yh i never understood why people in professional jobs w8 till they are in their late 30s it never made sense to me. same with the women one of my mums friends daughter makes around £50k and shes around 39 and still can't decide who she wants to marry that just does not make sense to me. i knew this young punjabi guy he was 21 and he slept around a lot mainly with other punjabi women, he then had his last bit of fun and then told me he knows this punjabi girl from uni, really decent, rarely went out, dresses modestly and he said he gnna go on a date with her and settle down had his bit of fun and then decided to settle with one dnt understand why more people dnt do this instead of messing around till their l8 30s

  10. I don't get why the soft, middle-class office boys from the Sikh community end up delaying their marriages into their late 30s. They have the disposable income and the choice of partners from which to make a selection, yet they waste their time playing video games or perpetually wanting to extend their youth during the time they should be raising a family. They also have unreasonably high standards. We're talking 5, 6 or 7 out of 10-level guys punching above their weight hoping for a girl that's a 9 or a 10. It's not happening, mate. Get real. Those Punjabi girls have been having sex and been in relationships since their late teens. Imagine how much action those females have seen when they finally decide to settle down. These Punjabi pondhus think these girls have been sat at home like Rapunzel waiting for their accounting graduate to sweep her off her feet, lol.

  11. I hope I dnt get white hair in my dhari though b4 I get married! Iv seen singhs in their 20s with white hair in their dhari. I dnt mind white in my hair but wouldn't want white in my dhari in my 20s! I dnt think this is normal. People in india get white hair a lot later. I'm not sure why that is. Both my nana and nani died in their mid 70s and half of their hair was still black. My nanas dhari half of it was a really dark grey. Iv seen this alot in bazurgs in punjab.

  12. Another exp that i have been told about within the family is that my mother in laws nani (who was the mother of sant waryam singh ji rara sahib wale), was pronounced dead and just before the cremation was to take place, she woke up and everyone was surprised to say the least, she was told you had died and was going to be cremated, she then said this. I was taken and dragged through sharp places nettles etc and when i arrived at dharam raj's court, they said you have brought the wrong person and then i was thrown back and thats when i woke up here, needless to say the experience changed her life and she became a devout sikh until her end.

  15. Sant teja singh ji baru sahib's sister did sangat of srimaan sant baba attar singh ji maharaj mastuana sahib. One day she took bath in amritvela (she used to daily bath and do her simran and nitnem in amritvela) and said to her husband at 4:00 a.m. I am going now .shaheed singhs have arrived and I will go with them.. And she easily left her body as if we open our jacket This body is also like cloth .Manmukhs get great pain while leaving this and also jamDoots beat them whereas gurmukhs easily leave this and take their naam di kamai safely to sachkhand. Also one person told me about his grandfather 2 days before that when his grandfather left he said "i am going maharaj ji has come. There are many many such incidents that take place. There also comes a stage in naam abhiyaas after which one can see the happenings of next world whenever one wishes it to .Swarags, naraks, patal lok , dev lok , yam lok And if guru sahib wishes then one can visit most beautifulplace of all creation - sachkhand and come back too.

  16. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh I know someone from our family who had near-death experience. He was about to die and his whole life flashed in front of him like a movie. He could see things he did wrong and things he did right. After that he saw white light ( he called it divine light) and a tunnel. He didnt die though. He was given another chance by Waheguruji. This experience changed his life entirely and today he is an great soul and a wonderful Gursikh. He is one of the person on my inspirational people's list.. :-)

  17. No, it's not really a metaphor as I see it- Let me try explain- ਰਸਨਾ ਜਪੀਐ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮ ॥ Rasanaa Japeeai Eaek Naam || With your tongue, chant the Name of the One Lord. Eehaa Sukh Aanandh Ghanaa Aagai Jeea Kai Sang Kaam ||1|| Rehaao || In this world, it shall bring you peace, comfort and great joy; hereafter, it shall go with your soul, and shall be of use to you. ||1||Pause|| The important rahao tuk- is confirming that we may play clever tricks with our limbs and postures but in the end only the work done by the TONGUE (utter of naam) shal be of any use to us. Therfore the work done by the fancy yoga poses and breathing is no good if tere is NO TONGUE work or uttering. (NOTE- it is reference to physical action and not the mind!) ਕਟੀਐ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਹੰ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ Katteeai Thaeraa Ahan Rog || The disease of your ego shall be eradicated. ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਜ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੧॥ Thoon Gur Prasaadh Kar Raaj Jog ||1|| By Guru's Grace, practice Raja Yoga, the Yoga of meditation and success. ||1|| This last tuk confirms that we may practice this raj yoga which is the meditation to success (as claimed by patanjali) BUT without HIS GRACE there will be no success. Therefore, if you do the TONGUE work, then with his grace you CAN have succes with the Raj yoga. AGAIN, I don't think gurbani condemns the practice or encourages it solely. BUT it does encourage the DHIAN and FOCUS on Waheguru, and then assures that you can add yoga practice for higher attainment but yoga on it's own (as claimed by patanjali) is not going to free your mind from maya.
