The thought of having a daughter in today's day and age is quite a scary and worrying thought. Part of me hopes I just have sons. Its hard for any man to have a daughter that turns out to be a slapper. Gay son and slapper daughter are the worst things for a father!

Once girls get to 14/15............Lord save us!!! You see ones that weren't getting any attention (from boys) and were conservative and even religious, all of a sudden transform, slap on the make up and turn super thirsty. Then (as people are alluding to) girl code kicks in, and when they start meeting horny teenage boys (if you're lucky.....) in the park, their other impressionable friends feel left out, and start tagging along with them. It's like any sort of upbringing they've been given goes straight out the window. People talk about bringing them up this way and that - but from what I've seen this can have absolutely no impact later on in life. Peer pressure and hormones override. I've seen conservative mothers in despair, smashing their daughter's mobile phones on the floor (and if girls are kept indoors, nowadays they can virtually slap about on various apps with cams). And let's maybe face some other things, there seems to be an intrinsic obdurate, stubborn streak in a fair few apneean that has them doing what they want, and any attempts to curtail/challenge this, or bring some cognitions towards the stupidity of their actions results in even more angry resentment, and from what I've seem, the common way they react is to flagrantly amp up the behaviour under question even more, as a direct challenge to those who are trying to protect them (and possibly to hurt them even more?). Girl code dictates that you have to support your friend no matter what, and not make them feel bad by questioning their behaviour, so their friends don't say anything to upset them and hide the truth. I think groomers have been acutely aware of these behaviours and have been exploiting them too. That's why they can make girls make false statements on their parents to social services when the parents try and prevent them meeting their abusers. And another thing - we often talk about girls from dysfunctional family backgrounds behaving in this way - behaviour which is explainable in psychological terms (attention seeking and seeking affection that wasn't provided by the family) , but what we often ignore is how girls from 'successful' 'respectable' wealthy families are often just as bad. It's like they have some some elevated opinion of themselves and feel above any criticism - and react mentally to anyone challenging their actions - often self-sabotaging to get back at their fams.

There is lot of retardation in their community due to their 'keeping it in the family' disgusting traditions. You can just imagine the confusion a typical Pakistani family has …. Sikhs do have Inter-Faith dialogue at inter-faith evenings and events. They happen regular in local boroughs. What I have noticed you have mentioned Sikhs don’t come to Speakers Corner and discuss Sikhi at this particular location. My friend, have you seen what goes on there? over the years it has become chaos and many people just want to argue rather than discuss. I can see maybe why you feel so confident about this place when it’s about 70% Muslims that are there, and among them are which are just looking for fights. Shias have been chased out of the park as well as non-Muslims that critique Islam; I have even seen ganging up and hitting of people the critique Islam or question your prophet. I personally don’t think SC is a decent place to discuss anything! If she can do it then maybe they can too and then it opens the floodgates and this is why her remaining a Muslim is so important.

Imagine having the same grandma as your partner! ? I just can't get my head around that stuff, don't know how they do that. We have a family down our road 12 siblings and they all married their cousins, and the husbands, wives, children, cousins all have the same faces! the same eyes, nose, and forehead, as an outsider you actually can't tell which is the sibling and which is the spouse anymore. It must get all confusing and some point right! especially at the family gatherings!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fateh! I hope all the sangat are keeping well at this uncertain time. I was wondering if the sangat could help me. I was reading the beautiful story about Bibi Rajni and her exemplary faith in god even when she was dealing with such adversities. It was a really pleasing story and all the more beautiful to come to know about the creation of Harimandir Sahib and the sarovar surrounding it. This led me to watch the film "Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam" that had some stellar actors in it for its time. However from the story, there seemed to have some innaccuracies that I wanted other peoples thoughts and opinions on. I can't say I am too surprised for there to be some fabrication of truths in the film, especially from the indian film industry but some perspective would still be nice. They portray Duni Chand as a maharaja, whereas literature states that he is revenue collector "Kardar" There is also a portion in the movie where they go to Maa Chintapurni, and it is there where Bibi Rajni's husband appears to have the revelation of the lake (sarovar) where his leprosy can be cured. I cannot find any mention of this anywhere in any literature. I fully appreciate that the film may have added certain portions in the film to suit a political narrative of that time and also to attract people to attract a certain demographic. If there is anyone who could shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to apologise to anyone in the sangat for my ignorance from this post and also if I have offended anybody. WJKK WJKF

There are two types of sikhs. First one, is the one who is a sikh in name, just superficially, which means, looks more for the jewel boxes, than for the jewels as contents to be had in those jewel boxes. Then the second one, is the one who is a sikh in deed/action, for he acts as per Guru´s teachings faithfully, without being concerned or bothered of the nonsense of the world. This sikh is called a Gursikh.
