  1. Just posting this up to make it easier for sikhs to find out about how we are meant to celebrate Navratri and Dusshera. There is actually something similar for Diwali as well where Dasvin 10th Patshah actually uses the word 'Diwali'! Hopefully I will find it before Diwali. https://www.facebook.com/652447751445011/photos/navratri-and-dushera-are-days-to-do-shastra-puja-the-nine-nights-of-naurate-star/995158367173946/ Since this post contains content objectionable to some jathe, I guess you will need to lock this. However please at least leave this post up so sikhs know how to celebrate Navratri and Dusshera, and can see the historical quotes.

  2. https://www.sikh24.com/2020/10/19/homosexual-marriage-akal-takht-directs-american-sikhs-to-take-back-holy-saroop-from-sarabjeet-singh-neel/#.X4zmI-1lDmE CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Taking strong notice of the homosexual marriage accomplished under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Sacramento (USA) last month, the SGPC appointed acting Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has directed Sarabjeet Singh Neel and his wife Leela to hand over the saroop of Guru Granth Sahib to the Sikh Sangat. Giani Harpreet Singh has directed the North American Sikhs to place this holy saroop in Gurdwara Sahib after taking it back from Sarabjeet Singh Neel. Notably, this holy saroop was used to perform a homosexual marriage between two males. Earlier, Giani Harpreet Singh had directed the North American Sikhs to trace the person who completed religious customs in this homosexual marriage. Giani Harpreet Singh’s personal assistant Jaspal Singh has informed that the person, who accomplished this unethical marriage, will be summoned to Akal Takht and given tankhah as per Sikh tenets after placing the holy saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in a nearby Gurdwara Sahib. Sarbjeet Singh Neel is known for violating edicts passed by the supreme Sikh temporal authority. He has performed a number of destination weddings by taking saroop of Guru Granth Sahib in planes, without providing proper satkar to Guru Sahib. Sikh24 has earlier published an article expressing concern over lack of Guru Granth Sahib’s satkar by Sarbjeet Singh Neel and his wife. That article is available here.

  6. Veer ji.. I am smiling while reading your reply.. You are really lucky to have a beautiful family.. your supportive wife, lovely kid and Waheguru I am glad to know you will keep your kes and dastaar.. Veer ji, we all get weak and lazy here and there.. but then we have to remind oursleves.. Khalsa oh jo karey nitt Jang And that jang is with our stubborn mind.. I am vegetarian now but used to eat eggs for all the ''health benefits'' and for the taste but after listening to kathas and reasonable thoughts, I have stopped from long time.. and if I even try to eat, they smell and taste weird.. It is Waheguru's kirpa.. Trust me, We can be so healthy and calm if we consume veggies, fruits and vegetarian diet.. I have experienced it and that is why I am sharing it with you.. I don't have all the facts and logical points for veg vs non veg.. coz then we get into that extreme stuff..lol So, balance is the key but I am pretty sure being vegetarian is beneficial.. Anyway.. I am happy for you veer ji.. WAHEGURU

  7. Hello sister. Just wanted to say thanks to you and everyone else on this thread for all their support. However I had a talk with my wife and son. My wife really wants me to stay amritdhari. She likes it. My son does not want me to cut my hair. But its about how I feel. And I think your right sister. In the time of need i turned to sikhi for guidance and support. And Guru ji gave me my life back plus soo soo soo much more. And its wrong for me to leave once I'm comfortable. I decided to stay a gursikh and try to keep my nitnem. I still eat meat though .... to some people that maybe an issue. However the Sikh Rehat Maryada says i can eat meat as long as its not Halal. So I will continue to do so and this will not break my amrit. I know God made human beings as omnivores. The vegetarian diet was only added due to the brahmin influence. Our elders, the Guru panth knew this and created a marayada accordingly. Anyways the a topic for another thread l I feel excited again. I got that spark in me again to become a better Sikh. I did ardaas and hope Guru ji forgives me for losing my way. I was weak and let maya get me Thank you sister

  8. I just wanted to provide historical context for food. I know that sometimes when there were food shortages, Singhs had to attack enemies eating Muslim langar and sometimes the food even had halal meat, so they would do bhog of the food with kard to be able to eat it. Actually, first time Singhs were forced to do bhog of halal meat was when Guru Gobind Singh dressed as Uch Ka Pir. Guru ji was able to avoid the halal meat by saying they were fasting, however the sikhs who were dressed as the disciples didn't have any choice but to accept the halal offering. This is where Guru ji explained to his sikhs to do bhog on the halal meat to make it acceptable to eat. In conclusion, I am trying to explain that it's probably best you do bhog of whatever food you are offered in the army... With regards to gutka, it would probably be best to take a gutka which contains das Granthi banis since you will require these banis as they are geared for warriors! Since you will be in the army, it's probably a good idea to add at least Chandi Charitar Ustat, Chandi Di Vaar, Ugardanti and ShastarnaamMala 1 into your morning nitnem. Also read a warrior style Rehraas and Warrior style Aarti Aarta in the evening. Since Nihang Singhs from Budha Dal Tarna Dal already live a military lifestyle, they are the best to ask when it comes to which banis to read and how Singhs lived historically during battles etc...

  9. A few individual traits in isolation don't amount to anything concrete, but when they start to add up in conjunction with other behaviours, a more rounded picture does begin to emerge that can help form an accurate image of what's going on.

  10. I mean if we look in our families in Punjab, India and even the west, we have guys within families who are skinny or a bit feminine looking, does't mean they become gay? These guys just take the mick, with their creepy exaggerated joker smiles and exaggerated feminine dancing in the video! Just bare creepiness.... Also if you go to Sundeep's insta account, you will also see their videos and photos of their gay south indian wedding in the first Spotlight thingy! The dad looks like he has just given up! That Sundeep fella doesn't have many insta followers, and hasn't hidden his profile. Is he trying to get attention and followers? oh I see, good detective work lol!

  11. Despite being gay, they either unknowingly or otherwise recreate the "natural" hetero (dominant male / submissive female) dynamic in their interactions within the relationship. From the picture we can see the Sikh guy has assumed what would traditionally be the female's position in a hetero relationship, i.e. perched atop the dominant partner's knee. The Hindu guy's frame and general "air" is considerably more masculine in comparison to his lover who seems comparatively feminine. Even his nauseating blurb that justifies his degeneracy is pleading, overly emotional, and manipulative like a woman. From these small markers I extrapolated, half-jokingly, that the Sikh guy was, in sexual terms, submissive to his partner. Call me Shersingh Holmes. ??

  14. Apart from no Gay anand Karaj , there is also the interfaith aspect of their alliance either are valid reasons to reject their 'need' to make a jaloos of sikhi to fill their photo albums . If they really had one ounce of sharam or feeling for sikhi they would not insist on their position but, do a court marriage and maybe do an ardas for blessings after. If the other guy is hindu then if they have no problems conducting such same sex ceremonies then they could have exercised a 'traditional' (sic) wedding

  15. Btw there was also Alcohol present there too, front row as well as the chairs, all at the presence of Guru Ji You know who needs to be dealt with......that ##### 'Sikh Priest'..... Hes the one we should be talking about.... The fact that he authorized this, make me wander whether someone or 3rd party was behind this...clearly he couldn't care about Rehat Maryada, Akal Takht say or any back clash..pretty sure he doesn't have his head in the sand knowing this is against Sikhi and beyond disrespectful RSS behind this...that yogi bhajan 3h0 was also set up by them too to whitewash Sikhi and bring it under the hindu fold... The guy said he invited the media......why invite the media?

  19. lol if there was a man sitting on another's lap in India like in the pic, it might just mean they are friends lol But I do understand, I mean if being deeply in love is about showing the world pictures of getting physical such as sitting on your partner's lap, then I really have to question their mindset about love and marriage.... I mean I can't take it seriously, the facial expressions the couple make in the photos and videos make it looks like some kind of comedy show, like they are a bunch of jokers!

  20. There are certain pictures on there that are not suitable on this forum. Like the lap sitting. All it adds to becoming is sensationalism.

  21. I wonder what is going on through his mind, he's one of their father right? Also the pic above, I mean if that is what they are going to look like in real life, then WAHEGURU why do they need to dress up with pagh and do Anand Karaj? I mean seriously, I think we also need to start looking at who is wearing sikh turban, not just Anand Karaj. Should we seriously look at people who only wear turban once in their lives just for Anand Karaj, especially if they misrepresent like the guys above? TO be honest I have always been worried about people wearing turban at Anand Karaj when they don't understand what the turban is about, gay or not! EDIT: just a thought - just look at their expressions in the pics and videos on their insta, especially some of the expressions when they pose for photos and also when dancing, it's like a comedy show- just can't take them seriously because their expressions make them look like jokers!

  22. I'm sure most of you guys have heard of Cockney Rhyming Slang. I've been using something very similar for quite a while. I call it Punjabi Rhyming Slang. I've always referred to "Gay" (or "Geh" as it would be pronounced in Punjabi) as "Munshi da Peh" (a Munshi is a writer or secretary). Yeah, that's the only one I've got at the moment. ?

  23. You people can't shape sikhi the way you want it to be like. It's not a piece of clay. So many Sikhs became shaheed for sikhi and now we have people like youse today. It's disgusting to see how much we've fallen.

  24. Being gay is a mental disorder, just like perverts who are attracted to kids. You guys need help, but instead you keep forcing your perverted acts on everyone acting like little rainbow fairies running around begging for attention. It’s disgusting, go and get married in a court, leave sikhi alone with your pervertedness!

  26. You are prob same ones who believe 'AlL RelIgIonS arE EqUAL'...and Gurus are just teachers..and view Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as a holy book...and its all just about rainbows and unicorns and loving each other ...vegans diets, Langar = communism.......and its all just hippy hoppy ........ Sorry time to get a reality check and go and learn Sikhi and our history. Stop polluting it with your far- leftist marxism bs.......have some audacity and respect for your Gurus and go and learn Sikhi... If you and likewise were running the Khalsa Raaj, Sikhi would have been extinct long time ago..... If only we had Sant Ji today with us..

  27. you are so devoid of sikhi knowledge you don't even realise sikhi has ZERO PRIESTS ...and frankly a money hungry shyster who drags Guru ji into enticing people to do all sorts is not a sikh and not brave in the slightest just manmukh and aghiratkhan .

  28. they are NOT sikhs by definition because they are refusing to run their lives according to Sikh Guru Sahiban . Sikhi is not your property to redefine it, according to your lifestyles . You can get married to whomever you like ,go marry a tree but Leave SIKHI out of it because you have no idea or desire to follow it , and frankly the country is not yours so take a flying leap off a short pier. There is no Sikh LGBT community because their thoughts are divergent from all sikh thought /gurmat, what you want is back up from a faith you have zero respect for ,zero participation .

  31. Like all great civilisations that succumb to degeneracy, the Greeks are no more. Bumming young boys under the guise of tutorship or however intellectuals choose to contextualise their behaviour may work in history classes, but the average man knows depravity and corruption when he sees it.

  32. Homosexuality has always existed but it was hidden away and not seen on the surface like we do it nowadays. Normal people were not affected but now it’s everywhere and even children are taught about it at schools. Parents that don’t agree with this are not very happy about the exposure their children receive these days.

  35. This conservative society is so FUCKED UP. You really need to leave America if you can't bear the equality that this country provided you too ( in so many ways). Tusi jithey mrzi chle jao, soch ta othe di othe hi diggi rehni. Guru granth Sahib only mentions marriage of two souls not bodies of different genders. I'm so <banned word filter activated> happy that this marriage took place!! FINALLY, some positive ray of hope for Sikh/Punjabi lgbt community. That priest that you all talkin about is so brave! Kudos to him! And, comgrats to the couple and their families.

  36. Very inspirational. Loved your comment veerji. Your life is a proof that Sikhi isn't inherited but earned. I will show this to some of my sikh friends who have lost their path to "fit in" society. Hats off to you my fellow khalsa brother

  37. Yes, I have received Amrit and am a Khalsa Singh. I am joining the US Army because it is God's will. I have educated myself and have a college degree in foreign languages. I'm entering the military with a specialist job in linguistics that pays very well. I'm contributing to the kohm by being active in my nation's working society and representing the Guru's roop to hopefully help familiarize more people what a Sikh looks like and how hard we work. And my orders have always been from the Father of the Khalsa, no one else. My life is proof. Otherwise, I wouldn't have switched my religion from Catholicism to Sikhi, grown out my beard, worn a dastaar, embarrassed and confused my parents (who are Mexican and don't know what Sikhi is) and practiced this faith for the past three years to receive Amrit unless my life was completely devoted to my Guru. I follow His plans, not my own. I never planned on being Sikh, but here I am, in love with my Guru. Most of the time I don't understand His plans either, but I always know they turn out for the better. Let's both not doubt the goals and intentions of Maharaj. We know so little. I am still growing and I am still learning. Rab Rakha Veer Ji.

  38. He's joining the democratic USA army. Not the indian hindu army fascists. Relax. It's his life. He lives in the US let him serve his country. It's a beautiful country we have more rights in Canada and USA than we ever will in india hindu land. We should appreciate what USA and Canada did for our Kaum. Its fair here. With hard work we get far and can accomplish alot for our kaum. In india its not like that. We are always stuck in the mud their. So we should fight to protect these lands. Protect North America. Waheguru bless America ??
