  1. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh, im a female. I am very very much inspired by anyone who ties a dastaar. I really want to tie a dastaar. So, during the covid lockdown, I started practicing to tie a dastaar. My kes is very very thick and long. You can't even tie a bun on my hair. My Bunga is very big despite me making it like a jalebi shape.Im still practicing how to tie a dastaar but it's not coming in my hands. I really don't know how to tie a dastaar despite seeing so many videos, despite seeing someone else tie theirs in front of my eyes. I know that I will continue to practice everyday until I get it. Sometimes I really feel like crying because i love dastaar so so much but it's just not coming to my head. So yeah, I wanted to just express this. Anyways, I'm very curious, when you sangat started to tie a dastaar, was it like one time magic, and how long did you all practice until you finally got a dastaar on your head. While writing this, there are so many mistakes that I've made, please forgive me and I have hope that Maharaj will definitely do his kirpa upon all.

  3. The first time I ties a dastaar I was 4 years old. It was when I did this sakhi/katha at gurdwara sahib. Then I started wearing dastaar more constantly around the age of 5. Up until I was 13 my mum used to tie it for me but now I do it myself. I used to do the final part myself but then I started doing it all myself my own style. I used to try to tie it at home when I was 8-10 years old but never really got it until I was 13. It got better after time. I took pics when I first started tying my own dastar and compared it to now, there's a difference. You'll get it eventually.

  5. Thank you for your support, I believe through the sangat guru maharaj actually answers my questions and doubts. I actually learned a pangti today, । A disciple who walks one step towards the guru to take his refuge and goes to him with devotion and humility, Guru advances to receive him by taking million steps. This paapi learn alot from supportive sangat like you, thank you so much ?

  9. Hey there, I was thinking of doing a project whereby we can create a digital decentralized khalsa. Whether that would be backed by a blockchain technology or how it would work needs to be discussed. I am thinking of a network where the action is rewarded. And hence we can have a community of the khalsa doing things the khalsa should be doing and getting rewarded for it..

  10. Nah. We need our ppl to be better. And to choose better leaders. Cuz any institution and type of government can be corrupted in the hands of selfish ppl. We had masands. Knowledgeable scholars who spent whole life and for generations serving gurudware. That failed. So then we had SGPC. which we fought to create and give shaheedian for. And now we hate it. We had akaali party. Same thing. Now taksaals going that route. Ppl r starting to hate it. I mean even a parchaar and education movement got corrupted. The missionaries. In kulyug.everything gets rotten and corrupt. Theres no fool proof. Only thing we can do is be vigilant that our institutions arent going downhill. Instead of scraping them n restarting

  11. Come on being on the committee helps you get access to local politicians and you get sweet deals with the bank's who get the gurdwara bank accounts / give the loans for building funds. Committee members shun all this for the interests of the sangat, honest guvna

  12. And even then it has to be done subtly. Or the kids reject the 'culture' as some oppressive backwards baggage.

  13. I dont know man. Mixed race kids face many issues. From identity issues to language barriers to having a hodge podge religion. And the kids will be part of globalixation and culture will erode over time. White and black ppl have undergone this in america and it has terrible consequences. Only if 1 culture/religion/language is allowed to be dominant will it work.

  14. It means what it means people. You have to understand that the use of the word "crooked" does not indicate humility, it means using crooked or immoral means to achieve what a ruler desires, and he does go on to say that a ruler must desire justness only and maintain justness at any cost. If Chanakya had indicated humility, he would have instead used a word like "bowed". And let's not be surprised that he suggests this because he wasn't an enlightened man on any level, he was just cunning.

  15. Look, Punjabi Pakistani Muslims, Indian Muslims are not really any different from Mirpuri and Afghanistan Muslims. Get that in your heads people. Who are the dodgy-est people in Europe? The Albanians, Bosnians and Chechens. There are North African grooming gangs in France, Holland, Belgium. Turkish ones in Germany. Lebanese ones in Australia. Only one thing links these people together.
