I was once listening to a katha about when Guru Gobind Singh Ji was with the Brars, and their leader Bhai Dhanna was asked to take Amrit by Maharaj. But Bhai Danna kept on saying i will keep on falling. Maharaj then gave a bhachan that if my Sikh comes of the path, i will give him birth again and again in a Gursikh house for 10k janams.

This is quite an informative video from Akaal channel. This Hindu Jaat from Haryana converted to Sikhism after he was imprisoned during the Jat reservation agitation a few years ago. I remember chatting to a Hindu Jaat many years ago in London who was a student. He has a sense of pride in his Jaat caste and looked on the Khalsa army of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (wrongly) as the 'Jat' army. He hated the local Hindu Rajputs of his region (Hissar district) and wanted the Sikh Jats to help his people 'defeat' the Rajputs. He also wasn't very fond of the Bahmans and Banias of his area. I also remember that during the 1980s even though Punjab and Haryana were at logger heads over the SYL canal but in the late 1980s the Hindu Jaat youths were in many ways copying the ways and manner of the Sikh youth in such basic things as honouring speakers at their conferences with a lathi instead of a Kirpan and a chaddar instead of a siropa. It shows how the influence of Punjab was still there in Haryana. Sikhism has always had an attraction for the rural farming population. The Jats in Punjab even in districts where they were less than the Hindu Jats, through Singh Sabha parchar become the majority of Jats. Could something similar happen in the Hindu Jaat areas?

I have a question about Sarbloh Granth's Manglacharan. I have never doubted Sarbloh Granth but I have always wondered what the answer of this is.

Yeh because once we take Amrit we become a part of Guru Jis family. As long as we take Amrit with the right intentions Maharaj will be ang sang. When Bhai Maha Singh Ji and the 40 Mukteh returned to give shaheedi. Bhai Maha Singh ji asked Maharaj to rip the vadava that they had written and signed. Maharaj ji asked Bhai Maha Singh ji why he wanted it ripped. Bhai Sahib sed because we have written your not our Guru and we're not your Sikhs. Maharaj replied yes u wrote that and signed it. But I never wrote im not your Guru. So just like a mother always waits for her child and never lets go, the Guru will always wait for his Sikh. I think thats where we are slacking in Sikhi these days. We look at Sikhi as rules but not a relationship.

Oh, the original post was hard to understand. You mean if a Gursikh messes up, they'll be given 10,000 further opportunities (lifetimes / chances) to sort themselves out? I understand now. That's why I mentioned Gursikh and not Amritdhari.

That's more inner searching than 99% of the current sacks of meat walking the earth, who seem to think they're perfect beings who can do no wrong, and that everyone else is the problem. You aren't giving it lip service, but you aren't where you want to be. Just keep trying to make forward steps. Don't stagnate. Doubt is natural. It means you're thinking. But make that spiritual connection you're looking for in a personal way that relates to your day-to-day reality.

I think what need to understand first is that we are looking at everything at our intellectual level. We dont have the budhi to comment about jamdoots etc. First we need to realise is the Maharaj is nothing but forgiving and compassionate. Would a parent see their child suffer? No. So why would our creator send jamdoots down to beat us? We need to realise Gurbani talks about jamdoots. But jamdoot means messenger of death. They will normally be at our level of spirituality. They are not all black and scary. Also the people who get beats are the ones who firstly deny the existence of god or do alot of paap. We currently live in kalyug and to be perfect in kalyug will take many lifetimes. This is the issue we have in Sikhi these days, theres to much scare mongering. We think Maharaj is standing waiting for us to fall, but its actually the complete opposite. Maharaj is here to help us on the righteous path. Even those people who have near death experiences and come back and say its really bad, were maybe shown jamdoots just so when they come back, they will follow a righteous path. They are blessed. I myself am an Amritdari and i do believe we cant get liberated without receiving Amrit, but i also believe the ugly dark jamdoots wont take everyone who is not Amritdari. We need to remember that everything is under Maharajs hukam. Gurbani tells us that simran and naam japna is key to everything.

anyone can make silly arguments for doing dubious things but if you do then that says a hell of a lot more about yourself than the other person.
