  1. The only way they could make it £299 is to make it like an Indian bus and have 900 standing passengers. And I can bet you that if parachutes were provided, someone would say that they can see their pind from 20,000 feet and you can drop the hatch and they will skydive from there ??

  7. A village near my house in Ludhiana has a significant Muslim population. The granthi Singh of the Gurdwara Sahib in the village is a jeevan vala Singh and my friend too. A Muslim family in the village were going through huge financial and health problems. The Muslim bibi in the house started suffering from depression and started having suicidal thoughts. She regularly read Quran but nuthing changed. She told her mental agony to the Granthi Singh. He told the bibi that if u want to be near to Allah do paath of Jaap Sahib and if u want to be protected by Allah do paath of Chaupai Sahib. He also gave her santhiya of these 2 baanis. She started doing these 2 baanis and started to feel better. Health sickness of her son started getting better. She started doing 5 Jaap Sahib and 20 Chaupai Sahib daily and all the financial problems of her family got solved in 3-4 months. Now the entire Muslimfamily which includes the Muslim bibi, her children, husband and parents in law do nitnem of Jaap Sahib and Chaupai Sahib daily.

  8. You are working hard by honest means to provide for your family and following Sikhi too. That's beautiful, god bless you ? The gatra could be worn around your waist (instead of over shoulder) with kirpan tucked into your trousers? (Some people do this for sports). Wearing a sheath on your belt sounds like a comfortable and secure option too

  9. I have no problem with homosexual peeps EXCEPT them insisting that it is their Godgiven right as a human to produce biological children . No one has a right to procreate even heteros fail to do so . These folks are actually meant to be end of their line just as senor Darwin indicates in his survival of the fittest doctrine (not continuing a manmade frankenstein child ) even hetero people will be told if they should give up if the donor route is not possible, besides there are many babies born in the world without a family , they would be a better sewa to uptake .

  26. I don't think that any Sikh believes that any of the Gurus took opium. Guru Arjan Dev Ji sat on a red-hot plate and said "tera bhana meetha lage." But Guru Sahiban were above pain/pleasure whereas only rare Sikhs are. Most Sikhs (inc me) are not. So whether the Guru's did or not, is not for us. The Taksal is not a sub division of Nirmal Panth, neither is it a samprdai. It is a taksal, which is different. Good point. If parchaar were to end and the onus would be on people to learn gurmat for themselves, our 20 odd million Sikhs worldwide wouldn't even be 1 million in one generations time. Parchaar has been done from the times of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's childhood right uptil now. It's because of ineffective parchar that we are in the mess we are in right now.

  28. Ok ao it seems Sant Jarnail Singh believes the Guru took Shaedai (Shaheedi degh) though Sant Gurbachan didn't. Though he believes that the Guru did not take afeem. I personally agree with Sant Jarnail Singh and Sant Gurbachan Singh as my Sikh view is very sampardamic. I agree alot with Nirmala and their sub divisions like Taksal.

  32. I think its a very Indian thing, everyone is either a hero or a villain. Just look at how one dimensional the characters in Indian movies and dramas are. While in Western literature and cinema its not the case. So we ended up doing the same with our historical figures. Some Sikh writers used make Ranjit Singh into some sort of saintly figure! I think living in the west has allowed us to explore our history with an open mind, and not pigeonhole people into "good guy" and "bad guy" and it has given these historical figures a lot character and personality, which I think is a good thing.

  33. Yeh I did hear it was really bad for them. I also heard that quite a large proportion of the people that turned on them were the servants that worked for them. You won’t hear any of the Kenyan crew talk about how they morphed into the ‘brown imperialists’ working for their firangi masters. They treated their black servants like dirt. They would go on hunts and have black servants run behind their vehicles for miles whilst they roll played being White Imperialists. They would also feed them the jooth that was left over from their plates. Then they came over to the UK with their Peugeot’s and Volvos and would look down on Punjabis and call them pendus and janglis because they worked as labourers and came from farming backgrounds. In fact they distanced themselves completely from the Punjabi community and set up their own Gurdwaras/Club/Halls/Societies and only followed babeh that toured in Africa. They are usually portrayed in images that have them sat on leopard skin, maybe because this allows them to claim some ownership on them. To cut a long story short this community has created more division and pushed cast segregation more than any Punjabi Jatts as DallySingh would have you believe. They still romanticise that period of time as the good old glory days.

  34. I really feel we need more younger parchariks, in their 20s and 30s, doing parchar in English, not fancy English, but do parchaar in a way which so that young people can engage and connect. Pot-bellied gyanis from India aren't exactly drawing crowds into the gurdware now are they! They're Ok for the uncles/aunties, but not for younger people. To bring younger people in you need younger people doing the parchar.

  35. It was quite bad apparently. I knew a lady who said Black men broke into their house in Kenya, took the nalas out of her salwars and lenghas and tied her hands up with the nalas and all her families hands and robbed the entire house! The Black slaves they kept were also tied up with the nalas. She said it was the local Blacks who were anti-Indian and the policemen who did the robberies! She said every night atleast one house was broken into like that in her area. The same happened to the Gujjus. I tried keeping a straight face when she said all the nalas were taken out of her salwars and lenghas to tie their hands up! I hope I did! I'd imagine these experiences were quite traumatic!

  36. I wouldn't take his views very seriously. He has an obsession, it's in his head and it's eating him away, it's worrying actually, not healthy at all. Things like that can make you unwell. There does seem to be a rise in puratan Sikh culture among the youth in Punjab. Interest in horses, shastar etc which is great. Its quite similar among the Sikhs in the West, an interest in puratan Sikh culture. Yeah, gym, kabbaddi etc really should be encouraged. It'll keep that fight alive. Also distract them from wrong things. The government knows that it's rural Sikhs that rebel, that's why majority of the youth that were murdered back in the 80/90s were rural youth. The government knew exactly who they were targeting. They weren't just random killings. It's why I thought the fighting spirit was dead after everything that happened in 80/90s, but obviously it's not. Unfortunately I think we are heading towards some dark times, but I think people are better prepared this time. I think these recent protests are a huge wakeup call for them.

  37. I was surprised that they still has some fight in them, after watching videos of the recent protests. I had the impression that after the 80/90s that fighting spirit died. It's a good thing. I think a gym should open in every pind and wrestling/kabaddi should be encouraged. After seeing the videos of the protests, there is some hope, because unfortunately I think we're heading towards another very dark period under the Indian government. Its worrying. The future seems very uncertain, but they're gnna need that fight.

  38. Yeh they did! Some by starching and ironing their turbans to the point they no longer resembled turbans, but more like hard hats. Some also pushed a fashion where shaving and shaping their beards whilst wearing tiny turbans became the norm and being Sabat Soorat was considered backward. Some also abandoned their motherland and replaced it by calling a African imperial colony their home. Some of them also built the first Gurdwaras exclusively to serve and be run by certain surnames. Some of their children are also championing the LGBT movement in the UK and dress like fudoos. I could go on all day but that would make me become you.

  39. Maybe because Jats are the only remaining group who are still actively alpha amongst the Sikh community. We could also ask why are Jats the only group to aggressively take on Delhi in the protests. You can’t knock a group of people who still possess the hot blood needed to take risks.

  40. I think the media is absolute garbage. Carefully crafted is not the word I'd use. The history of this planet is the history of evil conspiracy. Conspiracy is real, has always been real. Knowing which conspiracies to believe or what to do is when it gets murky. Anyone who dismisses conspiracy theory is living with the head in sand rear up. Anyone believing them all is running around covered in tin foil talking crazy. Don't be either person. Yes the world is occupied. Yes it's systematically opressed. Yes you've been lied to educationally and every other way. So stick to Gurmat. Support self determination and dignity of all people and be prepared to speak the truth and draw shastar if forced. Die today in Gurbani This is the antidote to every conspiracy.

  41. It's either true and the mainstream narrative is a carefully crafted vanilla projection of what "they'd" like things to be so that humanity doesn't realise the truth about its subjugation. OR these conspiracy theories are carefully crafted half-truths that are released into the ether as a form of misdirection to mask the drab realities of economic and political scheming by powerful corporations and individuals. I'm erring towards the latter. The former is fun to think about, but it's pie in the sky stuff.

  42. We don't have a 'brown' identity like black people and white people have overarching identities based on colour. I believe the black identity directly evolved as a reaction and counter to systemic abuse by white racists (people like Marcus Garvey probably being forefathers). Back in the 80s and early 90s in the UK there was brief period, when out of necessity (i.e. being 'paki-bashed' with the police colluding) people did feel some sort of 'asian' identity. But by the mid 90s, a strong Islamist identity emerged within sullay (stemming from the midlands but spreading south). Given what we know now, with how targeted religiously aggravated grooming was taking place parallel to all this (helped in a big way by the 'modren' incarnation of 'Panjabi culture' in the form of brainless barn-dancing and drunkard culture and gigs), I think it's foolish to let our guards down again and let people infiltrate us like that again. Right now, a Panjabi sullah will feel more afinity to a Somalian sullah than an apna, that's how it is. And people need to realise this if they haven't already. We need a new generation of apnay who eschew those backwards cultural things that form fissures that weaken our panth. First and foremost we have to face caste, and we all know who is at the forefront of promoting this crap - it has a massive effect on weakening the panth and a lot of the negative stereotypes of apnay stem from this (drunkards and dimwitted kunjars who love prancing about to a dhol at any opp). You know I believe one reason that apnay have consistently failed to face up to white racism, is because (1) they distract themselves with material things and internal one-up-manship to make themselves feel good, and (2) because deep down, lumpen sections of the community know damn well they are no better than any white supremacist because of their own indifference to rampant inequality amongst our own. They probably secretly desire to replicate the ugly monstrosity that whites have created, but just don't have the intelligence to quite pull it off, so they do their own crude, unsophisticated version which we see in the villages of Panjab. Then we could do with a lot less of that cringeworthy brainless ostentation a lot of us are known for, which makes them even more shallow. On the positive, we have awareness campaigns and activism about grooming like never before. We are able to communicate with each other on national and international levels with modern tech, and a lot of the old fuddy-duddy conservative (ostrich) generation will be dying out soon, leaving space for a more dynamic and bold style of leadership hopefully. We have to chose and support a new generation of leadership that doesn't just carry on with more of the same buckwaas. And we will face all this alone. In the meanwhile, don't be in any sort of illusion about an increase in white racism. I saw it growing up like in the clip above, I saw it getting battered, I saw that they hid themselves waiting for an opportunity to re-emerge. Don't fall into the trap of delusion that certain cowardly olders promote. If by now, apnay (in the UK at least!) aren't acutely aware of the real problem of grooming or ill intentioned conversion attempts (usually directed at females), then they must be retarded or being wilfully ignorant - OR playing up the government narrative for some material reason (like job prospects). This is real life, we aren't living in some foolish Panjabi or Bollywood movie fantasy. We need more strong, intelligent people, who are smart enough not to fall for egoic traps of caste, or manipulative flattery by outsiders. By the looks of it, we may well have a period of global unrest and conflict. We have to have masses of brothers and sisters who are smart and bold enough to defend our own community - or all that will happen is that females will become (understandably) attracted to males of other ways of life that can actually protect them. It's a time for intelligent, disciplined, morally upright street soldiers, and intelligent queens who aren't susceptible to shallow bimboesque distractions.

  44. Rather than answering your question let me ask you further questions. Possibly by asking you these questions you can come up with your own answer? 1) If only sikhs can achieve sachkand then what about the other 6 billion people in the world that are not sikh? 2) Do you think that there life is a waste because they never choice sikhi hence will never get true happiness (sachkand)? 3) Also I want to ask you personally mirror ji, what are your expectations about sachkand? What do you think sackand is? Why do you want to go there? 4) Also didn't Sant Jarnail Singh khalsa bhinderawale say that if you are a hindu be true hindu and if you are a muslim be a true muslim. Surely sant Ji would have told them that you must convert to sikhi before you ever have a chance to meet wahiguru?

  45. The Gobind Gita is the vedant knowledge rewritten by Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji in 7700 stanzas so no one has to learn sanskrit for this vidya. (This can be found on scribd) Mukat Marg was uttered at Hira Ghat Gurdwara by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji regarding the merit gained from certain paathas (again on scribd) Hanuman Natak is written by Hirday Ram and is not written by the Guru but was kept by the Guru as it was a manuscript given to the Guru which he had read out to the court poets to understand Hanumans view and details of the Ramayan
