  1. Akaal Purakh is such a great energy, such a force it makes one wonder a few things; Has one under estimated this energy? Has one been overthinking this energy? Like a great Gurmukh once stated in Guru Hargobind Ji's Divan "If it's up to Maharaaj, one can obtain Brahmgian in the blink of an eye." (Wouldn't that be something)? Mainstream Sikhs take Amrit from Panj Pyaare, follow Guru Granth Sahib as the only Guru, do Sacchi kamai, Desvand and Naam Jaap, keep away from four major Kureths. Maybe working "hard" for it is difficult? Taking out time for this energy via naam jap. Maybe it's easy, "I'll do 5 mins of Waheguru and VOILA! am reunited!" Maybe one has over shot this thinking completely and thought "Five years of keeping the five vices at bay, 2.5 hours Simran a day, a good Sikhi Sant life" THEN I'll get somewhere?? The Force of Akaal Purakh is literally around everywhere, waiting, watching for that Shardha... In order to obtain this Sharda it's important to go through physical process i.e. taking Amrit from the Panj Pyaare and following their instructions to heart. QUESTION! Can RSS, Naamdhari, Ravidassia obtain God through their methods?? I used to think "Lol, no..." But I have now changed my thinking. It starts from Ik Oa-(n)kaar (One God, many names). I firmly and strongly believe they can. However, They must go through the physical method i.e. Naam given by an RS Guru and whatever the instructions were given by them. (Equally, A Sikh who took Amrit from Panj cannot obtain God through following RSS or Islam, as Stated by the 10th Guru for Amritdhaari Sikhs). So if you took Amrit from Panj, you MUST follow The Five's given code of conduct! Period! If tomorrow I pretend to be a Guru, state to someone who DOESN'T know about Panj Pyaare method of Administrating Naam, BARELY knows History of 10 Gurus and whisper in their ear, "God's name is Lucozade... Repeat this for 2 weeks you will obtain the World's knowledge." Now, 3 possibilities may occur. 1. The person jaaps "Lucozade, Lucozade" gets fed up and gives up two weeks later. 2. Jaap Lucozade all life, until last breath nothing happened. 3. Jaap Lucozade anywhere between 1 second to 2 weeks... And the Akaal Purakh force throws shed on the person and turns him into a Brahmgiani. Why? Simply because the Jaap came with Shardha AND the "Naam" was given through an administration. So, a very high percent of you readers know Amrit administered by Panj Pyaare, know history of 10 Gurus, know Bujjar Kureths, know Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings, but just Maybe, JUST maybe... We all are getting into a jargon of shanka and self doubt? We doubt the energy and the Kirpa it does on us? We think "Okay, am going to start Rehraas Sahib but I know nothing will happen today? Ok, am going to do Gurmantar but it's only to wash off my sins?" Have we ever thought "I will get closer to the light?" Or "Today is the day that Kirpa will happen?"

  2. Actually, the panjabi words used in the rehitnamay are very specific. It say roti beti di saanj nahi karni. Which means no exchange of food or daughters in marriage. So we should not marry into them nor invite them over or go to their house for food. I am sure if the meenay owned a restaurant or a grocery store, we could frequent it. We could probably befriend them as we would a person of a different religionBut not to form any associations with them, to remain seperate from them religiously and culturally. This gives us a clue about how we as sikhs are supposed to interact with other religions.we are supposed to stay seperate and not share in their holidays or foods, i think. Also not marry into other religions. Cuz that blurs the seperation. So there is one answer to inter-religious marriage.

  3. wow so they do not revolve around sri guru granth sahib and they seem to be reciting salok m 9 instead of laavan de paath also I love the gora commentator who finds brides getting wed in a marraige costing less than 13 ruppees appalling if he were alive today, he'd be appalled by the exact opposite of how lavish "sikh weddings" are

  4. Can someone help me find out where these swaiye are in sri dasam granth, found a interesting article quoting and claiming bhai daya singh ji pyares rehitnama to refer to these along with sravag shabad, dinan ki pritpal, etc. Most of these commonly recited swaiye are present in sri akaal ustat so if anyone can find these two before, please provide feedback on this forum waheguru jio.

  6. Very good observations. But as a follower of Guru Jee, I will repeat and remind their words which is the only valid and ultimate Truth. Others may think what they want. "Eko Nam Hukum hae Nanak Satgur deeya bujhae jeeo" Further on a step forward, we easily tend to forget Guru JeeĀ“s role in our spiritual realization , when the Bani clearly says: Mat koe bharam bhoolay sansaar bin Satgur koee na utras paar. Bin satgur kinay na paayo. Bin satgur kinay na paaya. *All of our spiritual efforts as per Bani (His jaap) are just means to please Him, so that He can hold our tiny arm with His mighty hand(kirpa) and pull us out of the terrible Bhavsagar for once and ever. In the end it is all Guru Jee, who does everything. We just ahve to be attentive and receptive to Their teachings and Their kirpa.

  8. There are serious issues here, and to be frank, personally I think most of them stem from unspoken aspects of Panjabi 'culture'. Blockheadedness. Same as all of the government sponsored reports like those looking into the Iraq war, grooming by paks, racism in the UK - a whitewash.

  11. I hope certain sections of the community who seem to have a proclivity to deify angreezis finally wake up and see where they really stand now. On the flipside, apnay themselves (backhome crew) need to sort themselves out, and stop sending uneducated pendus to work on building sites here. I met an educated apna here recently (graduate from GNU, Amritsar, working as a programmer), so it is possible! And people in Panjab need to confront the lack of economic development there, and give the "It's all f**ked, and nothing can be done about it!" attitude a miss.

  13. Beautiful old Gurdwara in Pakistan. The wood work was from Kashmir while the glasswork came from Belgium! A Pakistani architect talks about the design and artwork of the Gurdwara. I think she's going to be renovating the building.

  15. We've saved fojis a few times, let them jump over the wall and hide in the garden etc people do that on our street. There were some fojis building someones house and the police came looking for them. My mums mate from down the road hid them in her house. But her miserable old White neighbour came out and told the police that she's hid them in her house! So the police knocked on my mums friends door and said they need to look inside because she's hiding illegal immigrants. But my mums friend didn't let them in and she started arguing with the police and said they have no right to check her house. The police left and didnt come back! lol The police are bullies, pushing their weight around.

  17. There's a group of UK gora have all my hairs on end too. Not only is their Sikhi a cult version, I'm pretty sure they're funded by a larger cult. And they're semi assimilated. Watch out. As a Gora let me say whatever scrutiny you place on Apne place 10 times on Gora. And those that make the cut you know are good. Look at people with money and where it comes from closely. The devil will walk in and buy your Gurudwara. Also look super closely at those that want to form their own group instead of being Paanthic from the beginning and supporting existing Gurudwara. Unless they have great reason.

  19. agreed we DON'T mind or impose brutality upon homosexuals, BUT we do not promote it and it is not in the ideal conduct of sant-sipahi which is why one cannot go through with anand karaj for engaging in homosexual behavior since non-sikhs cannot do so and homosexual behavior does not pertain to sikh ethos but yeah I know lgbtq folks and we get along fine, but just dont bring in faith to justify yourselves lol

  24. Should start a huge Sikh immigration to northern nevada and a satellite community in a city for commerce and job rotations. The military trains all our pilots here because it looks like afghanistan. The elevation and latitude are similar. The polution is zero and there are huge rural lands available with no competition.

  31. I still use it from time to time, but not in excess so I lose my tolerance to it so it works better if I need it, so I try my best to do parhej from allopathic medicine which reduces my tolerance even further so when I need it, it actually works one of my teachers had a rare condition where drugs just didnt work on him during surgery, except for fetanyl which was later on prohibited by the doctors when he reached a age so the guy had to endure his surgeries

  33. WHICH BANIS DID THE TENTH GURU RECITE AT THE TIME OF ADMINISTERING AMRIT? (sikhmarg.com) found the interesting reference couple years ago, recently rediscovered it so I am trying to find these two swaiyes best bet for me is to look from sri akaal ustat where the sravag, dinan ki prital swaiyes are (as is pranvo aad ekankaara) this article has been copies and pasted in a dozen sites to create shanka on panj bania but that is besides the point

  38. Actually 24,000 breaths are rough standard figure for normal human. But number of breaths changes once one start meditating...one of senior gurmukhs i do sangat told me that in the past they used to do sukhmani sahib in only 24 breaths that requires amazing yoga meditation abhyas incorporated with shabad. The reason breath comes into the picture is this is one of many effective ways to increase concentration which in over time and continuous abhyas get to ajapa jaap stage., mind is totally connected with breath so if one breath if one inhales do astphadi, you can get amazing concentration in Gurbani..Fast fwd to today, lot of traditional methods to read gurbani are becoming absolute as people have became so paranoid about their own breathing and claiming methods they haven`t heard hindu..if breathing is hindu why one is taking one..lol..release it already from this misery hindu breathing life and reject pavan guru pani pita gurbani tuk from japji sahib while people are at it...generally speaking no one has a right to tell anyone how should they breath..lol
