  1. In order to get ANYWHERE in your Jeevan it is vital to take out 2.5 hours for Akaal Purakh, on top of the 7 Daily prayers we all fondly and dutly do. 2.5 hours can be Mool mantar, Gurmantar (1.15 hour on each) or Gurmantar followed by one Sukhmani Sahib (this prayer takes an hour) or three Baanias from Dasam Granth (which could take an hour) followed by going Gurudwara for 1.5 hours of Simran, Seva and Sangat. In short no Matter what u select it should be 2.5 hours minimum, time excluded from 7 Baanias. Now, there are two dangers here. First, "I can't concentrate so I won't do it..." This is something I call Jargon. It's jargon because as soon as we think "Concentrate" we forget about the MAIN MAIN task at hand completely... Which is to do the Naam Simran or selected prayers. "I will do 30 mins woth focus then buold it up..." WRONG! Just do 2.5 straight, focus will come to u slowly. Second danger, "I don't have time" this is an excuse! You have 24 hours for 2.3 hours of Prayers. If u work from 8am you have all the time in Amritvela. To conclude, if u wish for your mann chanchalas to stop, jeevan to succeed, understand God's Hukam, be liberated, 2.5 is just the start.

  3. Pics of Sri chand ji on internet and in udasi deras show him naked with just a loin cloth. Baba virsa Singh of Gobind sadan Delhi had darshan of Sri chand ji wearing a chola. I'm attaching the photo baba virsa Singh created. A charrdikala Singh told me recently that he had darshan of Sri chand ji and he was wearing a dastaar too.

  4. I've been thinking a lot lately of how to help people with little to no Maya. We usually either ignore or help the homeless with charity. But what if instead of doling out x amount of "barely going to help to them", what if we went and asked them to help? Instead of being the problem what if we invite them to help themselves be the solution for others? I'm off to a horrible start lol. I guess it's two things. First. How do you help them with info alone have access to bathing, laundry, cooking, food, safety, sleeping space etc? The money to start a giant free bath house or laundry is something I'd love to do but that is major cash. So how do people shower with no shower and no dignity? You can bath in the river, it's cold usually and that causes problems freezing the skin. You can oil yourself but do you have oil? You can rub yourself with sand or certain dirt textures to sort of "clean" yourself. Along these lines how did Purtan Faujs do all these things? Bath, cook, clean, laundry etc. What is the bare minumum required to accomplish these things? So hypothetically we showed up and talked to some of the more rightous downtrodden and we have a bunch of survival info for them. We use this as an opportunity to talk about Degh, Tegh, Fateh and what Sikhi is and who the Guru Sahiban are. We urge them in the same direction as everyone else, to give their Sis to Guru Ji. Those that take to it, which we will find in Kalyug, as his enemies are among them. We empower those select individuals to help the others. Why not collaborate and combine Chakarvarti wisdom with what the homeless already know to improve their condition without anyones help or approval? Why not cultivate a Fauj within the homeless? Once in theory you had health practices and Sikhi spreading within the homless and they have some Sangat could they then start to coordinate their benefits? All the homeless are eligible for some form of social security or welfare or disability something. Food stamps. What if their Sangat helped make sure everyone got signed up for benefits, many don't as it's hard, and then what if they pooled their benefits? Like if you take ten homeless, who currently have no, or misuse their benefits, and a Singh from within their own community helps them all get benefits, and then focuses those benefits on renting a house now we have bungas. If these bungas served to further ramp up these "by them for them" programs maybe they could be a bridge to reintigrate homeless people into society and Sikhi. What are the thoughts. Can we spiritually and physically uplift the homeless with information about Purtan Gursikhi? The streets could be cleaned much better here. Really it's the city's fault for just not cleaning and denying the homeless any access to bathrooms or water anything. They turn off all the fountains. Public restrooms are all locked and it's been that way for years. They hate the homeless so much even standard citizens can't get a drink of water in public. It's rediculous how filthy the city has become, and they can't blame the homeless any more if the homless start sweeping the streets for everyone and doing better for themselves. Really the homless rely entirely on benevolent shop keepers for bathroom use and water and it's almost entirely the Sikh stores that allow it. The ho eless population here is exploading. Outside of one catholic government subsidized shelter they have nothing really. Some food banks. But no dignity, protection, or chance to really put anything together. They get arrested for loitering, run out the emergency rooms. What little food they get they can't cook. And there is no way for them to stay clean and yet society hates them for being dirty.

  7. No I don't think so that he lists the source. I hv heard it's mentioned in bhai bala vali janamsakhi and has the paathh of 7 shloks too. There is another gita of Guru Nanak Dev ji of about 100 shloks with the udasis which is in Sanskrit. Udasis claim it was recited by Guru Nanak Dev ji to Sri Chand ji and Sri chand ji wrote it. It used to be in print but no more as modern Sikhs hv given up reading literature. Gurwinder Singh nangli , a great scholar at baba bakala Sahib has it's printed copy. His no. +91 9914647591

  9. That's absolutely what I'm vibing with. I almost made a Bunga thread just now to talk about how we need Bungas as individuals, families and a Paanth and that they are what would allow us to do great things with our time and money. And provide such a wonderful amount of education, training, food and medicine, help to each other internally which pays the dividends we can pass on to others externally.

  18. There's a lot of homeless Punjabis/South Asians as well, especially in areas with a large South Asian population like Southall. There used to be homeless Punjabis sleeping under that big bridge near Southall. The Sikh channel helped them I think. Most of them were on drugs. They said when they go to the Gurdwara to eat the management would chase them out. If they asked the management if they can have a shower they would say no. So the Gurdware aren't very helpful! But the Gurdware probably chased them out because they are on drugs. But its still wrong to chase them out. With all the doctors in our community, you would think some would take time out on weekends and give people advise at Gurdware, but they don't do that ... We used to have some Punjabi lawyers come to our local Gurdwara to give people advise, but they weren't volunteering they were doing it for money. For a few weeks I volunteered with charity which fed homeless people in the highstreet. Majority of them are on drugs, its hard to imagine them assimilating into society, though its possible. A lot of homeless people used to eat at our local Gurdwara, but some of them were very rude to the sangat doing sewa, so the sangat had to call the police! I do feel sorry for these people, I always keep some pound coins in my pocket. And then there's some fake homeless people who choose to beg because they make more money begging than they would in a normal 9-5 job! Not far from where I live is a town Windsor, and people go there to beg and then they go back home in a taxi! lol!

  19. The person with the blue skin is Baba Sri Chand Ji and the baby was the son of Baba Lakhmi Das Ji, the second son of Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. Here is the Sakhi from SikhWiki: Preserving the Family Lineage "Babaji stretches his arm into the sky and brings baby Dharm Chand to earth to save Guru Nanak Dev ji’s lineage. While Babaji himself lived an ascetic life, he not only supported family life, he actually raised the baby Dharm Chand and arranged his marriage One day brother Lakhmi Chand ji had been hunting. Babaji told him it was a sin to kill innocent animals and that he would have to give account in God’s court. Hearing this Baba Lakhmi Chand took his entire household, even the dog, mounted his horse and rode toward Heaven. Baba Siri Chand ji realized that his brother’s baby Dharm Chand was the last descendent of Guru Nanak Dev ji. If the baby left too there would be no one to carry on Guru ji’s blood line. So Baba Siri Chand ji stretched out his arm into the sky, lifted the baby from his brother’s lap, brought him back and raised him as his own son" (SikhiWiki, 2012).

  30. I think Corbyn demoting one of his own female councilors (Sarah Champion), because she dared to speak up about pak grooming in her constituency said it all. I come from a traditionally Labour supporting background but after the international havoc created by Blair and his American puppet master, I went right off that. That isn't to say that the Tories weren't keen as hell to jump into those wars as well btw. Honestly speaking, I think the pandemic has been handled quite well in the UK, despite continual attempts by Tories to racialise it. If we are going to get into the matter of apnay's political donutery, especially in relation to angreezis, that's a whole subject in itself, spanning centuries......... apnay blokes can be as gullible as hell. Which is surprising because normally chors and hairaa feerhee karan walay are usually quite good at recognising other people who operate along these lines??? But with too many apnay, they seem to seriously think chunnhnah shines out of angreezis bhund. lol

  41. Agreed but the point is to not let the followers lose what they believe in and have it be misrepresented. The proponents should be strong and not waver when other followers of different faiths try and make them waver
    1 point
  42. Ultimately, these "apologetics" and philosophical inter-religion debates are irrelevant. It's not the quality and the substance of the doctrine that matters, but the strength and durability of the proponents (i.e. followers) of the belief system in question. If the legitimacy of a religious path was based on just the validity of its teachings and scriptures, then Islam would've been laughed out the room at its inception. The fact that it took hold, grew, and spread to BILLIONS is because of the desire and the determination of those wanting to see its proliferation on Earth for whatever reason. Yeah, sure, you have to know your stuff when it comes to sneaky fellows from competing faiths who are always looking to undermine other religions and sweep up stragglers, but you can't rely on pure intellectual reasoning to survive.

One person will never be able to change the world but its the small things that count help people whenever they need help if you eat meat only eat the meat youve hunted and killed yourself dont support animal cruelty by buying from supermarkets, even just something as simple as being kind to someone who is sad is huge! Bottom line is be good and help people for the sake of being good and helping people but dont expect any rewards for it either in this world or the next.

  44. Rather than all this blind faith and dogma maybe its a better idea just to be a good person. There is no proof of any religion so why act so certain? I'm not saying sikhi is false by any means If it is true that would be wonderful. I certainly hope and wish that it is true all I'm saying is that I cant say for sure that there is a God because I just don't know for sure 100%. I have some questions that no religious person has been able to adequately answer without doing mental gymnastics. I don't see the appeal in any other religion other than the eastern dharmic faiths. Islam and Christianity are pretty insane and unscientific and out of all the eastern faiths, sikhi seems to me the most purest form of spirituality without all the superstitions and rituals that have been added into the other ones over thousands of years but there is still no proof. Did Vaheguru come down to earth and tell you personally that all this is true? Did he give you a world tour of all the non physical realms? Have seen any of your Sants or Babeh perform a miracle right in front of your eyes or is just a story of them conveniently doing it somewhere else in front of someone that mysteriously no one can track down and confirm enough for you? All your going off of is the words and actions of other people and stories from hundreds of years ago. You've seen or experienced nothing yourself if you had ever had a single spiritual experience or were a spiritually elevated soul you would not have racked up tens of thousands of posts arguing with random strangers on sikhsangat trying to convince them that your version of sikhi is correct. Lets say for a second that your version of sikhi is correct than shouldn't you be at peace with that? Whats with the need to prove people wrong so badly if Vaheguru controls every single thing in all of creation and nothing happens without his wanting it than all those people have a different opinion from you because Vaheguru wants them too. Shouldn't you just be grateful and thankful that God has shown you the truth and light but instead its hurts you so much when people attack your views because deep down inside you there's a part that thinks that your opinon might not be truth. When there is no proof all religion is just wishful thinking. The only difference between me and you is that I wish its true but accept that it might not be while your wishful thinking and indoctrination is so strong that you've convinced yourself that you know for sure or you have some kind of personal connection with God in reality though were both just desperately wishing we have no proof any type of good feeling you get when you pray or meditate can just be explained by chemical reactions in your brain the only real proof would be being able to perform miracles. In your head God has blessed you with the daat of sikhi because of your good karma from previous births but If you had been brought up in a kattar muslim or hindu household and been indoctrinated from birth into either of those faiths just as you have been into sikhi now than based on your personality from your posts on this site you wouldve racked up ten thousand posts on some hindu or muslim forum and been the most extremist member their. Forget the mainstream religions if you had been indoctrinated from birth into some wacko cult like scientology you wouldve been the most brainwashed and extremist member of that cult. I know that Sikhs have a much more rich and proud history and tradition than any other religion or cult so that will enough to make you scoff at that comparison but both of you are basing your beliefs on the exact same things just words and feelings thats it nothing else. So what makes your life more important than some cult member what makes your feelings worth more than his? You have dedicated and devoted your whole life to this belief that it would be impossible for you to even think about being wrong your so brainwashed that your not even capable of just considering a different opinion after you decide that its against sikhi your brain will just automatically decide that its wrong. It would destroy you mentally to question things and have doubts about god now at this stage it would feel like you wasted your entire life for nothing. Does the idea of non-existance after death scare you that much? When I was a naive and innocent young kid I thought there is no way possible that life wouldnt continue after death in some way or another now that I look at the world in a more logical and realistic perspective I'm not so sure. Lets play a little game lets pretend just pretend(no need to worry we all know that your right and I am wrong so no need to get your feelings hurt) pretend for a few seconds that everything you've ever been taught is a lie and once you die nothing happens theres no soul no god just non existance and you wasted your entire life being religious for no reason. Now how do you feel after that? maybe that feeling is the reason your brain automatically dismisses any viewpoint that is counter to sikhi. I've come to terms with both possibilites if sikhi is true than great that is what I wish for that is what I want but if not than that is ok too. Now having said all that imo its still 70% likely that sikhi is true versus 30% not likely due to a few reasons -the extraordinary experiences people have when try different plant medicines all around the world it seems that these plants maybe some sort of link to the other world -All the near death experience accounts people from all over the world have they are all so similar even the ones from completely different cultures the only difference is the dieties people see -The spiritual expierences people all over the world have just from meditation and the control over your body that focus and meditation give you( the buddhist monk who set himself on fire in protest but showed absolutely zero signs of pain comes to mind) The above 3 things can all be explained as being caused by chemical reactions in the brain from the meditation and plant medicines however that does not make that explanation correct but that is what a scientist would say -There is also Sikh history itself some times it feels like there is no way for a community to survive the persecution and adversity the sikhs have survived and still come back and flourish without the help of a higher power. God may not be real the sikhs have survived the most brutal and vicous attacks and come back and won more so than any other group in human history except perhaps the jews -Carl Jungs idea of a collective unconscious is similar to the idea of god in the eastern faiths What is better to be a good person because you believe that you will be rewarded in the afterlife or to be a good person for the sake of being a good person even though you believe that death is the end and there is no afterlife? Isnt it better to do your paath do your simran just because its the right thing to do and to just admit that you dont know what happens after death. Do your paath do your simran because its the morally right thing to do thats it dont do it because you think its erases your bad karam and will get you a spot in sachkhand after you die. Stop getting into pointless arguements with people be a good person and admit that we dont know anything.

I do agree they can survive on just veggies but they are not designed just to be on veggie, just look at their teeth and the fact that some owners give them a raw meat diet and they can digest raw meet. Why deny them what Vaaheguru Jee has created them to be their Khraakh. Piaario it’s your choice some owners give, wet food, some dry, some raw and some veggie. If I’m doubt speak to the vet jeeo. Its not about laziness in-fact giving them veggie food would be quicker and cheaper but as I said earlier I won’t deny them what is their khaarakh. Myself and many other Amrithdhaari Gursikh families like mine giving our dog this dry dog food and keep it separate and we don’t see nothing wrong with it. I say don’t fall in vehem that your dog is eating meat and you have meat on a shelf. That’s what Guru sahib Jee wanted us to steer clear from - Vhem. ??
