  2. Our lot are very foolish. The only thing they love being proud of is being an alcoholic and doing bhangra. Nothing else. Will run over their own to get clicks and likes from others. Just keep giving free food to people. Thats only what we are good for. Imagine being proud of the fact that people think you are free food community. Everytime i see news about langar seva in terms of adversity, i cringe. I dont know these people have made langar into free clicks and likes. All egositic. Gurus didnt say to go anywhere and start giving langar lol . Idk these people made langar into some free food fun party. Langar was to ensure that someone's spiritual progress isnt harmed just because they have an empty stomach because a person cant focus spiritually if the basic needs of the person are not met. Our gurus were very smart visionaries but again low iq punjabis as usual turned it into free food party.

  3. I disagree. Look at the way she is now attacking Amaan, had she been naive on the Kashmir issue then she would not now be attacking him but she has an axe to grind and so she continues to badmouth him. It doesn't matter from what timeframe these liberals joined the farmers protest, their support is solely to use the farmers protest to damage Modi and the BJP. They tried to use the anti-CAA protests against Modi which turned out to be a farce easily destroyed by attacks by BJP goons. The liberals showed their true colours when they supported the paedophiles against our community. The sooner these liberals are exposed the better because in my view this Monica Gill and other liberals like here are a hundred times worse than Sirsa. Sirsa and Amaan saved a Sikh girl from a life worse than hell with a paedophile and bought the sad situation of Sikhs living in Kashmir to the diaspora. This is what has irked the liberals because their Kashmiriyat has been shown to be a sham.

  5. People in dead end jobs (political correctness being "Level entry" jobs), how can u give your work a meaningful method?? By doing at least a few baanias BUT IN YOUR MIND! Everyday. Could be 4 Japji Sahibs spread out throughout the day or 8 Jaap Sahibs as just examples. Of course if anyone comes up to u n start talking DO talk back to them. Pause your recitation, then commence from the tukht u were at. Now, I mentioned dead end jobs; machine operators, overlockers, pressers, but semi-skills jobs too! Chef, cook, warehouse workers, soldering workers maybe even drivers too. Driving can b quite hard t focus unless u do recitation a bit loud. ANYWAYS as for the rest? The mind is continuously thinking. So if it must think why not think of God now n then? Of course the usual excuses get in the way "No I must not as doing paat NOW is wrong as my mind isn't focused," "No maybe somebody will call me then I'll forget where I was" "No I'll wait until I get home..." LOL but the truth? Mind is "I wonder why God put me in that family, all other families are WAY cooler, when willI get another job/ promotion?? Is it 4pm yet? When will 4 come? Wha happened 3 hours ago? That colleague's a noob! Wait until I tell that cool colleague... OH! Mind's already telling him!" THESE THOUGHTS attack us and we go through the same process, day in, day out... Now, should I start a Japji Sahib? NO NO NO! Too many noises!and the mind is off again on the so called filaana dhingraa. THIS is process of the mind... Just select a few baanias and do them in your mind. My preferred is Japji Sahib. I start 2 after 10.15am, then another 2 just before 1pm and 1 after tea break. Might even throw one or two Jaap Sahib through the day... Maybe u prefer other baanias. GO FOR IT! What I noticed, the day definitely seems meaningful and at peace to an extent. Surprisingly mind is doing Japji Sahib whilst translations take place automatic ally... Another part of the mind is lost STILL on that Filaana Dhingraa LOL. But the day goes by in peace and it's like a meaningful thing has taken place at work. I can imagine not all work allows u to be like that, call centres, teachers, Office work (read documents, stare at screen) etc. Basically job where nothing but interaction and reading/ signing takes place. It can be difficult to truly focus on Filaana Dhingraa let alone Baani. (Filaana Dhingraa just means lots on mind, etc etc). But dead end jobs? Kapria t teh laun walia at Primark?? Wha excuse u got? Your job involves eyes closed, teh launia, look at all that Filaana Dhingraa going on in you mind, bruv. 10 hours! And not 10 mins on one baani!?? And it's not difficult. Do one, start the translation along with it, you will see how kirpaa takes place. Select your preferred baania(s) (different paat, different days maybe) and time you wish to do them then go for it.

  6. Thank you for coming back! It's been a few months it's going extraordinarily well. So much kirpa happened lately. Waking up Amritvela with ease to do naam jap (with concentration of course), amazing raas, mind and body is in a relax state not a tensed state. Calm, cool and collected just the way the mind should be.

  7. Bare in mind the population of Panjabi Hindus, and Christians they will NEVER vote in favour Sikh independent state even if there was a vote without any issue in Panjab.. Best we either learn to swim with sharks or against the sharks...We need to learn to sit back and do our dealings quietly like Gujjis ..this mindset to die and fight for our rights no matter what cost has come at fair share of bloodshed and loss for Sikh panth..

If we are going to complain why our committees are corrupt or why we sell-outs, then we should learn the importance being economically successful

  9. How religious are these people? How much paath do they do ? How much do these Jews try to stand out from goray? How much are they into maya? Although it's also true to say many 'Sikhs' are not religious yet not 'achieving ' as much as these groups. Do you think we should have a Sikh community that is politically stronger, but religiously much less than it is now, say, like the Jews ? Found this resource which is interesting https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/57a08b1eed915d622c000af5/india-religions_and_development_02.pdf 5. Concluding Comments Notwithstanding some very obvious development deficits, economically Sikhs have done fairly well as a community. The desire for social and economic mobility is extremely strong among them. One of the central features of the Sikh self-image is the image of ‘a hard-working and mobile community’. Mobility is perhaps the single most important secular value among the Sikhs. Though compared to the followers of other religious traditions in India, the number of Sikhs is quite small; they can be seen in almost every part of the country and in every sphere of economic life. They have also been a globally mobile community, being among the first from the subcontinent to explore the Western hemisphere. There are substantial number of Sikhs in countries like United Kingdom, the United States and Canada and smaller populations of Sikhs can be found in many other countries of the world. The desire to go to foreign lands for better economic opportunities continues to be strong among the Sikhs. Though the green revolution technology was introduced in different parts of the country, it was in Punjab that it proved most effective. Scholars writing on the subject give due credit to the community culture of the Sikhs, particularly to the Jat Sikh farmers. For a long time Punjab was the richest state in India, with highest per capita income. As shown above, the incidence of poverty among the Sikhs is far less than amongst any other religious community. The available official data also shows a move away from agriculture and growing occupational diversification among Sikhs. However, notwithstanding these achievements and the pride they take in the ‘modernity’ of their religious ethos, Sikhs are not a homogenous community. Apart from the economic inequalities that characterise the Sikh population, like any other religious community, Sikhs are also confronted with several other developmental challenges. While ideologically Sikhism does not support caste-based inequality or the idea of untouchability, in social and political life, the community continues to be divided on caste lines. Even though the growing institutionalisation of democratic politics and economic development during the post-independence period have weakened the older structures of hierarchy and social inequality, caste prejudice persists. (see Jodhka, 2000, 2002, 2004). Perhaps even more important than caste is the question of gender inequality. Even though the Sikh religion provides useful resources for fighting against gender-based discrimination, these resources have not been used effectively to ‘reform’ the patriarchal culture of the community. The near-obsession with mobility has also created side-effects, one of which is excessive consumerism and desperation to go abroad

  13. I'm speculating but for someone to make such a U-turn and to be giving off "I don't want to be here" vibes might suggest something a little sinister. It wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for a celebrity to be caught up in a "honeypot" entrapment situation to secure their cooperation. Or he could be a typical two-faced opportunist like most of these jumped up harlequins in the entertainment industries who people are drawn to idolising as gods. Who knows.

  14. There is a new Muslim bhangra singer from UK called Raf Saperra. Not only has he made a music video where he is lusting after and flirting with a Sikh girl who has a prominently displayed kada, but the song has been produced by so called Sikh Sukhshinder Shinda and the background of the video is full of so called Sikhs wearing kaday, egging on the Muslim singer to flirt with the Sikh girl and sing about her lustfully. Astonishingly there is an old Baba with a long white dhari and white dastaar in the video as well. I have not seen one comment on the YouTube page that is concerned about this. I have also noticed that as part of his image in general this singer has avoided highlighting he is a Muslim, only reluctantly alluding to being from West Pakistan during an interview when asked. Instead our so called Sikh people are all backing him up and featuring in his videos wearing huge kaday while holding alcohol bottles. There is a blurring of lines here with regards to identity which is normally used by this group to take advantage of our people. Our own people are stupidly helping this cause. There are a few of his bhangra videos which also feature smoking (Muslim Pakistani culture) which will probably confuse Apne thickos into thinking this is now a normal part of our own culture. They are making bhangra videos without making it clear they are Muslims and subtly putting their own culture into it. What has happened to these people's zameer? This is the video.

Not sure about Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College (I'm assuming that's the one you are talking about in Chigwell), i know they have had their up's and downs and did pretty badly in their ofstead a few years back, as far as the teasing i have no idea, i wouldn't be surprised, it used to happen at our kids school (Sikh ethos school in Leicester) until it was called out by parents and it was handled by the school.

  26. If you haven’t grown up in that environment in Punjab it’s hard to fathom how a Sikh could be in Congress Party. The ground reality is that Sikhs by and large are evenly split between Akalis and Congress. It starts at the village level where family rivalries and caste rivalries ensure that there will always be two opposing sides. Only the congress and akalis have offered the possibility of the vote leading to state power. If you look at the congress roster, it is full of Sardars with colourful paggs, same as the akalis. Congress offers a chance at getting into power for the influential sardar by offering both the strategic hindu vote and half the sikh vote, whereas the akali dal will mostly rely on the sikh vote, unless they have a bjp/bsp hookup. The current top guys like Navjot Sidhu and Channi are not die-hard congressis btw. There was a furore by the Hindu Congress strongman Sunil Jakhar that both Navjot Sidhu and Channi had NOT observed/tweeted about Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary on Oct 31! There is plenty more I can expand on the nuances of Indian/ Punjab politics, but my main message would be not to jump the gun and throw labels on people for joining any party. Whether it’s Moosewala or Sirsa, you have to look at what they can do for us and how we can manipulate these politicians to our benefit, instead of blindly throwing the gadhaar label. These politicians, like all politicians the world over, are in it by and large to quench their lust for power. It’s how we use them that defines our political acumen. Here's the results from 2017 Punjab Elections to give you a feel for popular support:

  27. No offense but just because someone called someone a racial slur doesn’t mean the victim should resort to violence (in this case violence that can even fracture someone’s skull). He could of just recorded it or reported it later and sued the company or taken it elsewhere… I’m not agreeing with the prison sentence but plenty of people get racially abused or slurs thrown at them and they don’t resort to violence so idk.

  32. That's the problem. People want shabaash. For many of those involved on our side, seeing the cultural shift and actually feeling agency - or the power to change the course of events - is more important than this. It's feedback that efforts can become fruitful, even when everyone is against you. It shows you that even most difficult things are achievable. I totally disagree with this. If you take the example of the growth of sullahism in england, you're not old enough to remember when it was a joke (probably weren't even born then), but I do. It's the quality of people we produce that matters. The effect at ground level outward with even just a tiny handful of people with conviction can be profound and enduring. Right now, our 'culture' (which I believe is not remotely Sikh but rather rural Panjabi) has no relevance to the vast majority. I think the Sikhs that will make the difference will be ground level individuals not the Joe Singh Blogs of Slough/Southall who are just following some weird hybrid pendu Panjabi-anglo culture. I don't think mainstream media has the impact it used to. Yeah, they'll try and demoralise us - for example I watched that Spiderman film set in europe lately and I note that whilst the pretty hijaban is shown everywhere, I only saw a turbaned, weird looking midget, in a long kurta in the airport scene. And if you truly believe our future depends on our ability to find space in mainstream western media, than you need to check your thinking. That's really disempowering ourselves, and turning these panchods into gods of sorts! People made a local impact in the 70s and 80s when there were the most insulting comical representations of brown people in everyday mainstream media - so it should be easier now. But if we continue to produce fudhoo nonsense about Flying Juts and Jut and Juliet etc. etc. etc., then we're only producing shallow rubbish for our own to consume (and make themselves even more of a joke) as well as producing stuff that has no value to any interested outsider either. That stuff just largely confirms the dumbo stereotype, and comical turbaned figure caricature.

  33. So true. Not uncommon though is it. There is a need to please outsiders deeply rooted in many. This is the main issue I reckon. Plus the traitors have always been rewarded and prospered. We need to bring in the lexicon of 'gadaar' and chaaploose' into everyday apna language. It's hard to isolate these people because they are patronised and propped up, but I feel publically shaming them would be the most powerful way to shake them up. They're obsessed with their image - attack that.

  39. Guru ji says they are the khalsa and apart of it. While guru ji can be guru of the whole world that does not mean everyone is a sikh. If Ram Rahim claims to be guru of world does not make him your guru right? You can only adopt someone as guru if you live life as they have said in texts. Guru ji clearly gives gaddi to SGGSG according to many sources not believing it and making random fairytales of guru ji living 100? and whatever year is wrong.

  40. Sikh is someone who follows the teaching of the 10 gurus.A hindu is people who believe in devtaey, aartis, etc. No the hazur sahib people won't be sikhs. they have gone so far from true sikhi that they are basically hindus. they rely on these karam kand elements of religion. They have gone away from the true message and root of sikhi. Gurus put coins and coconut I didn't say that was wrong. You can doubt what the gurus did, you can't compare them to regular sikhs. The gurus also never did any aarti standing up. Guru Ji set the aarti to be sung in kirtan form like how other shabad are sung (i.e on a stage).

  41. Please first clarify the definition of Sikh and Hindu. Who is Sikh? Who is Hindu? Please explain this. Ritual of Aarti is also carried out in Hazoor Sahib too. Aren't they Sikhs? And also in many more Gurudwaras disciples perform Aarti. Aren't they Sikhs? Our Gurus while elevating successor of Guru Gaddi, always put some coins and one coconut. Aren't they Sikhs? Please clarify.

They might have not gone to his jathedar ceremony but they stand by him now that is what matters.
