That's because of the Communal Act brought in by the British that gave reservations for seats to Sikhs, Jains, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Anglo-Indians, Europeans. Furthermore Dalits/SC-ST were promised economic reservations that were denied to other minorities. Classic Divide and Rule Policy to break up India. Gandhi realised that seats would be skewed in favour of Sikhs and went on a fast unto death to avoid fragmenting India and Nehru threatened not to introduce reservations for Dalits if they converted. Hence why most Dalits preferred to stay as Dalits, even though they continue to claim reservations by hiding their new religion if they converted. Anyhow reservations were supposed to be only for 10 years not 70 as is happening.

They don't fall for it. They are tricked and manipulated into it. I've seen the following: 1. Lying and pretending they are single when they have wives at home. 2. Lying they are Sikh by wearing kara, using Sikh names. 3. Feigning love and affection to break down barriers so they can have sex. Buying gifts etc. 4. Lying to their wives by pretending they are going to the mosque when they go to visit their girlfriend. 5. Swearing on the Quran to make promises but then break them. This can be with Muslim women as well. 6. Physically kidnapping them and forcing them to obey by threatening them. 7. The bad influences are mainly to do with the fact that Hindu temples don't have control of their funds and therefore cannot fulfill their duties. Other minority religions/panths are being subsidised through these funds. The end game is to convert everyone away from Dharmic religions. Sikhs are being destroyed to force them into Christianity. If you want to stop this then you need to collaborate with other Dharmic faiths Or introduce ways to stop the destruction, such as bring more Dharmic practices that will empower those being weakened through drugs/alcohol. But as most Gurdwaras are aligned with Congress there is little hope of this happening as they are also responsible for the destruction. So another way would be to form a new hybrid panth away from the influence of SGPC and their cronies. But that seems a long hard road if you can't convince the majority of followers.

They were just "Hindus" (not really, because they probably couldn't participate fully in the temple rituals), but do you have anything to say they were actually Sikhs? The fact is that they were looking around for a religion to join, and Ambedkar chose Budhism, so that's what they became. Also, when you say that Punjabi Buddhists are Buddhists because of caste discrimination, that's exactly why I questions why a Chahal would feel the need to become a Buddhist. Wow. Early Punjabi immigrants certainly drank a lot more than today's generation. Unless anyone has been living in the Gobi desert over the last 20 odd years, it is clearly apparent that jatts are disproportionately represented in either grooming or running away with Muslim men - and this is despite accounting for confounding factors such as "most Sikhs are jatt". The other notable factor which we can't ignore is that the victims are nearly always from the Midlands. Which, for those of you who aren't aware, is notorious for having heavy drinking jatts (compared with London or elsewhere). The jatts openly boast about their drinking exploits, in songs or on social media. Heck, I still remember when they called into a discussion programme on Nihal's show on the BBC Asian Network, who was discussing alcohol abuse in the "panjabi" community: "we jatts have enzymes which metabolise alcohol more efficiently than other Asian races"!!! There are clearly a lack of strong male role models with strong Sikhi-inspired values in jatt families. Hardly any of their menfolk wear a turban. They're now paying a heavy price for substituting Sikhi for Punjabi culture, which, even to this day, they haven't realised. I visit the Midlands often because I have extended family living there. There is literally a pub on every corner, mostly owned and run by Punjabi's and they see it as a "badge of honour" that they spend all their time drinking. This is a hangover from the "black country" industrial age, when drinking was seen as a way of socialising in the early days of immigration (no other past times) and as a way of "rehydrating the body" after working in furnaces. However, that can not explain why 2nd and 3rd or 4th generation Midlands Sikhs drink themselves to cirrhosis and a disproportionate number of Sikh females (who identify themselves as jatt) vulnerable to exploitation.
