  1. It's sad that someone who claims descent from a Guru would support genocide. They need some Sharam, that they are still focused on descent of the Guru, if they want to respect Guru's parivaar it should end at maximum the Guru's grandchildren; after that keep everyone in Merit.

  6. Yea, I believe the woman was the granddaughter of Baba Khem Singh Bedi right? She got married off and lived in Thoha Khalsa in the Rawalpindi district. That specific area was infamous for the events that took place there in 47. Just overall a sad story.

  9. No I meant that the black and white depiction is very Frank Miller, I hated the 300 graphic novel and the movie was even worse. Sin City was great and so was The Dark Knight Returns. I think he did do a hardcore anti sul graphic novel after 9/11.

  10. Imagine if it was written by an apna Frank Miller, he would go hardcore anti sul! Just like Frank Miller did against the Persians in 300. I found Watchmen very overrated, V fir Vendetta was very good apart from the songs.

  11. Truth of the matter is, if there is someone who's making gand, and someone who's making stuff related to Sikhi, the person making gand will make more money; and the person who's making Sikhi related content will be more harshly judged for making something remotely related to Sikhi. (We can see how long films like Nanak Shah Fakir or Dastan Miri Piri take compared to some random Punjabi film to be approved.)

  12. That looked really amazing. Such a shame that it didn't get made. It reminds me of the video game Sarbloh Warriors which also never got finished due to lack of funding.

  13. This video says that a descendent of Guru Nanak converted to Islam. Some woman is named as converting. She wouldn't have been the one to initially convert. Women is those days did whatever their husbands did, and most likely it was the hisband who converted and she had no choice but to follow. Sad as it is if it's true, but those days were like that. I've seen this before in a family of Bedi's in Malaysia where the man converted and his wife had no choice but to convert with him.

  14. The past couple of years has seen the issue tentatively being broached in a serious academic context (as opposed to the immediate and almost reflexive revulsion across the board of earlier times), which is usually a precursor to eventual normalisation. I was reading a few weeks ago about how homosexuality went from being classified as a mental disorder to being downgraded by the Psychiatric Association of America (I think) post-1960s and 1970s. That was when it started to be propagandised in the media as a life choice. When academic journals and professors start to frame the discussion around paedophiles as one where the perpetrator is misunderstood and the victim of prejudice, you might as well accept normalisation is around the corner. However, thinking it through (not that I want to, lol), the logistics of it don't make sense. A child obviously comes with parents in most situations. No sane parent is going to allow their child to enter into a sexual relationship with an adult. Bad things will happen to any adult who tries to commandeer a child by force. Will the media launch a demonisation campaign against parents or adults who won't allow these relationships? Will there be "paedophobia" legislation to protect paedophile rights? Is the lowering of voting age a peripheral contributor to the narrative that children are capable of making adult decisions? Doesn't make sense unless parents are so out of it that they won't care or be able to control their kids which is a possibility. Also, I feel there's a hidden aspect to paedo stuff that goes across political lines. It's definitely not a Left-Right situation.

  18. What is true is true! Also, "Keep going, it's the spirit" is easy for males to say. Sakhi of Bhai Taru Singh doesn't help much neither as they were a male. Unfortunately, the truth is ALL Non Amritdhari females do something about their facial. It's "Not normal." So it has an affect on society, everyone feels they must do something and put religion to one side.

  19. I wouldn't say it's a manufactured crisis as such, they allowed the Khumb mela to go ahead which had an attendance of nearly 5 million people as well a political rallies, all in the middle of a worldwide pandemic knowing fair well that they don't have the infrastructure nor the means to cope with another wave of Covid especially on the healthcare front, i do however agree that they are playing political games with this and it's all the poor that have paid the price but that's been the case in pretty much every country in the past year. For a country like India to run out of something like oxygen for hospital's is pretty much inexcusable, it's a basic need in any hospital, it just show's how deep in the sand Modi and his cronies have their heads buried yet people who have lost family members as a direct result of the governments incompetence will still vote for them out of some misguided national pride.

  20. I must say my time on this form has been great though it is toxic it was fun to learn and to teach. But as all things I must say bye. I may come on sometimes but not as much. I am leaving as I want to continue my journey and try to destroy all distractions. As Akal wills I walk. If Akal does kirpa my dreams may come true though there is only one dream that I truly care about which is entering the courts of Akal. I know I am a sinner. I have commited many sins and I am so young ,but I hope Akal lets me in and I hope that Akal makes me sit at his lotus feet. I dream one day that I learn vidya from Sants though they are dreams. I dream of doing katha but I will not. And I dream to stay on this forum though I will not. The forum sometimes angers me and just boosts my ego which is one of the reasonswhy I am leaving. So Goodbye. It was fun and I want all the sangat to blessed. May the Guru be with you forever. And one more thing Sorry. I have been rude and toxic so please forgive me. I am horrible. So please accept my apology. Also sorry for not completing the Sant Gurbachan Mool Mantra katha post. I have no excuse for why I did not do it. I am deeply sorry.

  23. 100 percent. The Hazoori Fauj does it all the time whenever the police blocks the entrance. Moreover, perhaps the most angering thing to see is these blind Indian nationalists defending police brutality against teens in police stations. These coming years between Sikhs and the Indian state are going to be very interesting. The overall energy is different.

UberEats driver’s murder by carjacking teenagers captured by shocked bystanders Shocked witnesses captured the sickening moment two teen girls tried to carjack an UberEats driver, before he was killed in a crash. WARNING: DISTRESSING Bella FowlerBellaFowler93 MARCH 28, 20211:38PM Video Image NEWS.COM.AU1:32 Horrific video shows man's final moments before murder WARNING: DISTRESSING. Chilling footage captured by witnesses shows the moment an UberEats driver was murdered in a carjacking by two teenage girls. Chilling footage captured by onlookers in Washington, DC shows the final moments before an UberEats driver was killed in a carjacking by two teenage girls. The man, identified as Mohammad Anwar, died in hospital after his car hurtled into a parked vehicle during the struggle, ejecting him onto the footpath. The 13-year-old and 15-year-old allegedly used a stun gun on the driver, who was in the street making a food delivery on Tuesday, before attempting to steal his car with him still in it, crashing the vehicle and killing him, according to the Metropolitan Police Department and witness accounts. The unidentified girls have since been charged with murder, Kiro7 reports. This is my car.” A man on the footpath is heard saying: “Call the cops, they’re trying to steal his car.” RELATED: Woman murdered while delivering UberEats Anwar was seen calling out to people on the footpath while the girls attempted to carjack him. In the final moments of the video, one of the girls is seen walking past Anwar’s body towards the car, yelling for her phone still inside the vehicle. One witness told NBC Washington she was in utter disbelief as the events unfolded. “I saw all the police cars first. Then I saw the car, and I thought, ‘This must be a movie scene or something’,” DC resident Pamela Johnson told the NBC publication. The girls were pulled from the wreckage by National Guard service members. Picture: TwitterSource:Twitter According to police, when responders arrived at the scene they found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital. Mohammad Anwar, 66, of Springfield, Virginia, was identified by his family on Wednesday. According to his family, Mr Anwar was a Pakistani immigrant, who left behind a wife, three adult children and four grandchildren. “He was a hardworking immigrant who came to the US in 2014 to build a better life for himself and his family,” the family said in a statement. “The loss for his family is immeasurable.” Metropolitan Police Department said the 13-year-old from Southeast DC and a 15-year-old from Fort Washington, Maryland are facing felony murder and carjacking charges. The two girls have not been named because of their age. Meanwhile, Anwar’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to pay for atraditional Islamic funeral and to help Anwar’s widow with finances, as the slain delivery driver was the primary breadwinner. “He was simply at work yesterday evening, providing for his family, when his life was tragically taken in an appalling act of violence,” the page stated. “Anwar was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who always provided a smile when you needed one. He leaves behind a family, near and far, who cherish, love and miss him dearly.” So far the family has raised more than $USD205,000. https://www.news.com.au/world/north-america/ubereats-drivers-murder-by-carjacking-teenagers-captured-by-shocked-bystanders/news-story/b2f45ee5f714f37d52f78b6fe63e584f I don't know, about this I find it disgusting. 26. Completely agree but there was a time where you could help and know that you'd done the right thing but it's not as clear cut any more. I remember years ago my eldest uncle and aunt came home after a wedding to find some guy in there house trying to rob them, he came in through the kitchen door round the back, my uncle's a pretty hefty dude and he tackled the kid and grabbed him, my aunt ring the police and they said they were on there way, 40 minutes passed and no one turned up, my uncle ended up ring the police again and hen told them that he had the kid in a headlock to stop him running (he didn't, he locked him in the garage), the police turned up 5 minute's later, my uncle was told that if the kid who tried to rob them was injured while he apprehended him he could face charges, so much for doing the right thing.

  27. It's not just in the US, it's the same in the UK, I'll always ask if i can help if someone is in trouble or look's distressed, I was bought up that way but lately it seems that I'd probably get in more trouble if I helped rather than just leave the situation alone, it's a sorry state of affairs.

  30. This whole incident is surreal, from the way it played out to the way it was filmed, I'm not one for conspiracies but i'll leave that topic for another day. The fact that people would rather film than try to help in some way in truly a sad sign of the times, the guy went to another country to try and make a better life for him and his family back home and this is what happens to him, humanity has well and truly left the building.

  32. Awful. May he RIP and may his family finds peace. Unfortunately they've already turned this horrific attack into petty politics to fit their agenda. They were two black girls apparently. Last week it was a Muslim /Arab shooter that killed innocents and before that is was White shooter killed Asian Americans. There's alot rotten ppl in all races / religions as well as good. Whenever there is something horrible, ppl start monopolizing it, to fit their political agendas. Sad world we live in

"The National Guard does not have law enforcement authority. Under Title 32 of the US Code, the Guard has authority to support domestic law enforcement, but it does not have arrest and detention (Title 14) powers. The only armed service with Title 14 authority is the Coast Guard, who are responsible for law enforcement with US waters. https://www.quora.com/How-much-authority-does-the-National-Guard-have-as-law-enforcement-and-where-do-they-get-this-power-from p/s:- if you look closely at the video you will see bigfoot crossing the road and chemtrails being sprayed in the sky.

As at this point they look back n assess how their upbringing was. Kids should not be brought up in a toxic relationship. Hopefully u can be persistent and work on yer husband (don't give up hope) that he will change.

  44. Am curious, about a Sakhi I heard a few times at Gurdwara/ radios. When Guru Amar Das Ji went to visit Guru Angad Dev Ji for the first time, Baba Amar Ji thought "I will consider Guru Angad a true Guru if he knows am a vegetarian." In langar they sat close to each other and the second Guru said, to the sevadar serving food "Bhai Ji. Serve Baba Amar Das vegetarian items only," then Baba Amar Das was convinced this IS the real deal, the true Guru Sahib. QUESTION!!! Doesn't this mean meat was being served in langar up to Guru Angad Dev Ji's Guruship?

  45. You feel like u need to end yer life? Veer Ji, u DO need councilling support. Once you get out of that feeling completely THEN u can focus on other things. It's like big stain on a cloth when handwashing them. You can clean the cloth around the big stain, apply soap/ surf... But what good will it be left out hanging to dry if the mehl on the big part is left unattended? First deal with suicidal thoughts (via councilling) then get other things back on track. Wish u luck.

  46. I suppose u could move overseas? Plenty of Gursikhs in UK. As a brother, i'll give u one warning. Only move into UK if you're graduated. You can b a highly spirited Gursikh, on a Sant level, even! But if u have no degree you can forget about moving into the UK. No degree means you're unlikely to get a decent job. A decent job means prestigious in society and, above all, good amount of income in the house. So if u have SO much kirpa that it radiates, but you can only get jobs in hard labour, no Amritdhari girl here will give 2 pence. Your Nitnem doesn't matter, your Simran doesn't matter, Guru Ghar goer/ hukam wich rehna, raini baini NOTHING matters. Wha matters is a degree, as a degree leads to well paid money jobs. I have spoken from my side of the truth WHICH I obtained from above 7 cities, 40 Town and countless Amritdhari girls "How far is yer education?" Then after that?? NO! My dad is a witness, half the cities / homes we went to were thanks to him! UPDATE: Today my wife is an admin as she is highly educated and am a restaurant worker... HOWEVER! This meant am no longer with my parents as she got a job in a far town. Oh! And I work below minimum wage despite am legal here, born n bred. I DID THIS FOR MY WIFE! LET THIS BE A LESSON. DON'T JUDGE A MAN BY HIS UNI DEGREE. I think I spoke enough... But I'd like to wish u luck n hope u find the girl.

  48. berrible news! This problem too will b solved by Gursikhs. I know you may think "When? How?" But EVERY Century there's always Sikhs with so much Kirpa that solve problems. In your town, is there a Giaani Ji or a normal Singh/ Singhni that people look up to? Gets jobs done, excellent advice, puts up stage shows, can give lectures, translate Gurbaani? Chances are... All reading this has immediately thought of that person in their current town/ city. Same way these Sikhs will come forth and sort out political/ Sikh affair matters. Everytime a samasiya arises Sikhs have come forth and succeeded. And people always think "What Sikhs? I don't see such Sikhs let alone ones with Aatm of Brahm giaans!" But need to have faith.
