1. Come on man, these are 13 year old girls. You have no clue at all at that age about the world and its dangers. You are a child at this age. This is paedophilia plain and simple. You can't blame the victims in cases like this. And the 50 year old perverts knew what they were doing was wrong.

 2. Apne will still serve Langar to suls in Kashmir, Dubai and Delhi like a bunch of simpletons. It's like the kid in school who gives away free sweets so that all the other kids like him and more importantly don't beat him up. Pathetic really.

 5. Bloody hell, grow up and move on. Do you see people in any civilised developed society talking about how their grandfather or Great grand father was a farmer, carpenter, shop keeper, soldier and being overly proud about it? It's pathetic.

 7. I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as someone like Priti Patel who really is a nasty piece of work. I think his father in law is good friends with Manmohan Singh. Yes the Hindus will probably be happy but wouldn't we if a Sikh became Prime Minister?

 8. We keep falling for the same trap each and every time. A Sikh who tries to lift the Panth and Punjab out of his deep and endless abyss we entered into many decades ago will always face more opposition from apnay than even our enemies. All those who are questioning how Amritpal Singh has achieved so much support and a base is Punjab do not understand the power of social media. Social media has caused revolutions in many countries such as the Arab Spring, do these people not know how much social media influences our community in Punjab. The youth these are very engaged with social media and social media has been used to create branches of supporters in many villages and this they are able to mobilise the youth to attend rallies with Amritpal Singh. Simranjit Singh Mann's victory was very much due to the use of social media by our youth. Another reason why Amritpal Singh has captured centre stage is that the Panth and especially the youth have in the last few years become much more grounded in reality and started to cleanse itself of the liberal BS that the likes of Ravi Singh and United Sikhs have bought into Sikhi. He talks unapologetically about how he wants Khalsa Raj just as Hindus openly talk of Hindu Rashtra, the youth wanted a leader who talks in such a manner and not some pyjamay talking constantly about helping others and Sarbat Da Bhalla. The opposition to Amritpal Singh is because he has done more for the Panth in the last few months than all our paper tigers combined in the last three decades. Look at Kuki Gill, he has been badmouthing Amritpal Singh for the last few weeks because since his release in 2009 his achievements for the Panth have been a big fat zero. He keeps harping on about how he sacrificed his career and how he is so highly educated as if no other Kharkoo sacrificed their entire families for the Panth and all he has sacrificed is his career.

 9. He's not. Don't make assumptions without knowing anything about him. Read about him and watch his videos. Look at his socials from years before, he's always been like this and had those opinions. Don't give him the treatment that a lot of Punjabis and Sikhs gave Deep Sidhu calling him a government agent.

 12. I am absolutely disgusted by this, sick to my stomach. First of all they only spent 4 years in jail for paedophilia and rape. WHAT THE F@CK is up with that! They should be spending the rest of their lives behind bars. Ideally they should've got the death sentence if they still had it here. The lives of those girls is ruined forever. There is something really depraved about the suls. I remember when these grooming stories broke out, they interviewed some suls on the street asking them what they thought about the problem, many of them said it takes two to tango, partly blaming these young girls, total sickos. As for being a role model to his son, he'll tell him that it's fine to rape kuffar women because their prophet did the same.

 13. I'm not going to argue on if Sidhu moose Wala was a good person or not, but all I will say ,which I think is something all of us can agree on, is that the Indian government can and will use this excuse to increase forces in Punjab. Remember the sequence of events. 3 days ago Sidhu moose Wala expressed support for Simranjit Singh Maan and for Khalistan. 2 days ago,his security was removed. Yesterday he was assassinated. Does it not seem planned and another poor coverup? Keep in mind that the anniversary of Operation Bluestar is in a few days time. I don't feel it's a coincidence. It doesn't matter if Sidhu was a good person or not, but based on all other events happening, it seems very likely that he was used as a scapegoat to let the Indian government go on with another plan that will help them gain control of Punjab. (E.g extra military presence and police presence) There will normally be extra military presence in Punjab for operation Bluestar anniversary. I wouldn't be surprised if after these forces enter Punjab , they don't leave. Bhul Chuk Maf ji Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh

 14. There are a lot of Sikh owned restaurants here in the London area which are halal. Remember money comes first to apne. Likewise, take a walk down Southall Broadway and you will see countless Sikh owned shops selling Islamic pictures of Mecca and head scarfs. Never in a million years will you see muslims selling Sikh related items.

 16. Because apne are total food-oos. This law didn't effect Indian muslims in any way, so I don't know why they threw a hissy fit. It just prioritised Hindu and Sikh refugees from places like Afghanistan and Pakistan. Nehru and Gandhi really did mess up big time allowing so many suls to stay behind after partition. Tara Singh for all his failures did at least help get rid of them from Punjab. Can you imagine suls in Pakistan protesting if only muslim refugees were allowed into their country?

 18. There are many videos, people, articles and comments online claiming Sikhs were the main and first aggressors during the partition (1947). In reality, it was Sikhs who were first targeted by aggressive Muslim mobs in modern day Pakistan before the partition was even announced! Don't fall for any propaganda, especially Pakistani, which shifts most blame to Sikhs (as seen online and in movies/dramas). The looting, killing and abductions were all first unleashed by Muslim groups. 1946 genocide of Sikhs & Hindus in Hazara region Violence broke out in Calcutta, 1946 as the Muslim league ordered "Direct Action" resulting in thousands of deaths. Similarly, in late 1946, Sikhs and Hindus of Hazara district (NWFP) first faced unprecedented savagery from Muslim mobs. Although its not in Panjab, Hazara had a large Panjabi population. On 7/12/1946, many Sikhs in villages faced unprovoked attacks. In Batal village, 22 Sikhs and Hindus were killed or wounded. The markets of Uggi village were attacked and shops of Sikhs were set on fire, 5 more were killed. In Sum Ilahi Mung village, Sikhs and Hindu evacuees from Batal & Uggi were attacked, 14 were killed with 27 injured. In Garhi Jallo, stray killing of Hindus and Sikhs continued, the Gurdwara was also burnt down. This violence extended to other parts of the district. Many more Sikhs were burnt and shot. Due to deteriorating conditions, evacuees sought refuge in places such as Rawalpindi and eastwards in Panjab. Rise of Muslim-league agitation in Panjab The agitation had begun earlier in Panjab, however it grew more violent in February, 1947. There were many train hold ups in places like Amritsar and Ludhiana. On 14/2/1947, faces of non-Muslim tonga (horse carriage) drivers were blackened. The Muslim-league in Amritsar attacked a Sikh constable who was stoned to death by a mob (25/2/1947). Toha Khalsa massacre of Sikhs in Rawalpindi in March, 1947 Thoha Khalsa is a village of Kahuta Region of District Rawalpindi. Sikhs were attacked by people from surrounding villages in Rawalpindi on 6th March, 1947. They were asked to convert or face violence and the local Muslims remained silent despite assuring them safety before. Sikhs negotiated with the mobs for days and finally gathered at the grand Haveli of Sardar Gulab Singh. After Sikh houses were looted, mobs attempted to gain access to the Haveli. On March 12, 200 Sikhs were killed and the women were asked to accept Islam. However, most Sikh women (led by Maan Kaur) committed suicide at the village well. A while later, military arrived in the village to rescue any survivors. Link to eyewitness account of a 85 year old Muslim Account of Basant Kaur (survivor) "I took my children, and then we jumped in -- I had some jewelry on me, things in my ears, on my wrists, and I had fourteen rupees on me. I took all that and threw it into the well, and then I jumped in, but it's like when you put rotis into a tandoor, and if it is too full, the ones near the top, they don't cook, they have to be taken out. So the well filled up, and we could not drown... the children survived. Later Nehru went to see the well..."

 22. People think offering toy aeroplanes will "assure" them a visa! http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/aeroplane-gurdwara/998924/ Aeroplane Gurdwara Anju Agnihotri Chaba , Anju Agnihotri Chaba : New Delhi, Sat Sep 08 2012, 22:25 It's not difficult to locate Shaheed Baba Nihal Singh Gurdwara in Talhan village near Jalandhar on NH-1. Just ask for the "hawai jahaz gurdwara" or the "aeroplane gurdwara", and you'll be promptly guided to it... Shaheed Baba Nihal Singh Gurdwara, or the hawai jahaz gurdwara, is a ticket to the West; if you offer a toy aeroplane there as prasad, you can be "assured" of a visa. Or so, believe devotees who flock to the shrine with miniature aircraft as offerings, from across Punjab's Doaba region, which consists of Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Nawanshahr districts, and which has over six million of its natives settled abroad. It is believed that every family in Doaba has at least one member living overseas. The gate to Talhan village has a cement model of a British Airways aircraft sitting on top of it, and the road to Shaheed Baba Nihal Singh Gurdwara is lined with shops selling toy models of international carriers such as Lufthansa, British Airways, Air Canada, etc, priced between Rs 50 and Rs 550.

 23. Many of current Sikh youth (16 and under) have special auras, they got lifetimes of bhagati Take example of how there is huge demand for certain jobs, where they get like 500 applications for 1 role. There is also a huge demand for obtaining the human body, for the opportunity to merge back into God. Once upon a time this earth was a beautiful place, during satyug, then what happened? As people do more paap, the soul they give birth to has less bhagati. It's a downward spiral from there. These people killing each other today, who do you think they were before this? They were ghosts and spirits. When parents don't have bhagati and too much paap that's the type of soul they give birth to. There's no shortage of good souls waiting to take birth, but they require parents with suitable bhagati which is very hard to find. Daas had a vision through dasam duar about khalsa raj, that right now there's nearly 1 billion (call it 960 million if you want) souls (not body's, raw souls - like ghosts but harmless) on this earth and they are begging 24/7 from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to be blessed a human life. They are souls from satyug who need 1 more life to take amrit before they can enter sachkhand. So while humans waste their life away blinded by maya, these souls are non stop doing seva and begging guru sahib ji for the gift of human life. Today's young generation are more into Sikhi than their parents, in turn they give birth to souls with even more bhagati - upward spiral. The coming times are scary. The ones who have taken amrit, their souls will enter directly into sachkhand then take birth again during peaceful times to complete their remaining karams etc.

 25. This is a good point. I have known many elderly Sikhs who partake in certain Hindu rituals and believe in certain Hindu superstitions. I am convinced that many Sikhs have Hindu roots that are much more recent than most people would imagine. There are lots of signs of this. For example, I have met some people whose ancestors from the early 1900s or late 1800s had "Hindu names" (i.e. a more "Hindu sounding" first name, and no "Singh" in any part of the name) and/or did not keep their kesh. There was an interesting thread on SikhSangat a few years ago regarding religious census figures in Punjab from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Surprisingly, Hindu jats outnumbered Sikh jats in many parts of modern day Indian Punjab in the late 1800s. Given all of the above facts, it's not surprising that Hindu practices have been strong in the Sikh community. I honestly think that the existence of Sikhs in substantial numbers today is accidental and due to the British: 1) The British made a clear distinction between Sikhs and Hindus, based on physical appearance (Sikh <=> turban and kesh, no turban and kesh => Hindu). Without the rulers making such a clear distinction, the line between Sikh and Hindu would have been blurred, and I think there is a good chance that Sikhs would have just been gradually absorbed back into the Hindu fold (most Sikhs partook in certain Hindu practices anyway, and Hindus to this day view Sikhs as just another one of their subgroups). 2) The British incentivized being Sikh by (among other things) preferentially recruiting Sikhs into the military. Within a generation or two of the British taking control of Punjab, virtually all Punjabi-speaking jats were "visible Sikhs" (kept turban and kesh). Within a generation or two of the British raj ending, a majority of Punjabi-speaking jats reverted back to being monay. This was not a coincidence. Aside from the jat community, notice similar practices in other communities. For example, the tradition of Hindu khatri families raising one son to be a Sikh. The frequency of this practice and the frequency of jats keeping their kesh follow essentially the same timeline.

 29. Let daas share something. There’s a young user here who’s posted thousands and thousands of times. Daas looks at their profile and wants to scream at the thought of how many hours of their life they wasted away on here. Early last year they sent daas a message saying after reading your posts I started doing simran, an hour each morning and evening. Daas has to respect privacy so can’t share more, but basically they’ve tasted that ultimate bliss which can only be found inside, the thing all our souls been searching for, for millions of lifetimes. They were curious on how to go deeper into it. Daas gave the example of trying to find something in the back of your wardrobe, first you got to reach in then you have to rummage around. It might take time but keep searching and you’ll find it. Explained how most of all you can’t put a price on having ‘time’ available to search inwards. So said carry on with it, be patient, surrender to it, let the simran take you wherever it wants to. And when the moment of bliss comes enjoy it and thank him for it, cos you can’t put any price too on being happy. then they said I’m really sorry if I keep wasting your time by messaging you ? Just stared at that message for a while thinking you got no idea how beautiful it is, cos I’m a loner and it’s just nice to speak to someone ???. They didn’t come back on here after. If you think you guessed who that user is, do the best thing for them which is be happy for them, and be inspired. Please don’t tag them or mention their username. People praising you is one of the worst things. So daas would encourage switching off electronics which inject your head with so much negativity daily and focus on simran. You can’t control what’s happening in the world, but you can decide not to waste this life away like too many are doing

 30. We were almost decimated once before too. I know that as long as we stay true to the guru there will be a way. God will make the circumstances that will pave the way for us to rise again just like it was last time. That doesnt mean we have to put no effort. Look at ukraine. Dont think a few months ago anyone thought this would happen. The world is unpredictable. Anything can happen at any moment. I just know that god will never let the truth be lost. Sikhs have preserved the word of god through so much pain and bloodshed. The first step is to make every sikh wake up to who our enemies are and idc what anyone says but since farmers protest many people have come back to sikhi and even the liberal kind have become aware of what is happening back home in punjab. Now with sidhu's death too many people have started realizing the truth about the evil elites of India. Many are blaming India( wether it is state sponsored or not doesnt matter but they are realizing that indian state is anti sikh).

 32. We are accepting the English meaning. The real meaning of Nanak name chardo Kala tere bane sarbat da bhala. Actually means In your hukam, everyone is well off. It means whatever you do is good for everyone. It's another way of saying Tera bhana Mitha laage. That with naam I am in chardi Kala and I accept that your hukam is best for everyone. So I don't need to ask for anything or try to change your hukam. Just accept it as all is well. It does not mean I ask for the welfare for all. It's the exact opposite. It means I don't need to ask or do anything as you already do the best and take care of all.

 33. How could a landlocked and small state project it's power ? Sikh leaders never were visionary, in this current age of democracy/ public opinion age , the majority always dominate. Somebody who offended someone's prophet in india become huge outcry worldwide but you won't hear much about how many SGGS was damaged by others . Sikhs have become pawn of liberals, muzzies, and hindus and they play siksh for their own political/ other benefits when they need them. 1984 happened and army did lot's of <banned word filter activated> but you would still see Sikh still going into indian armies. The panth is filled with fuddus who are only interested in their own wellbeing but they might also shout about sikhi this and that in gurdwara . There is a reason why sikhi never spreaded much outside of Punjab and I can say that sikhi even failed in Punjab ( west Punjab, himachal, haryana) because majority of the people didn't adopted sikhi and that's why you never could have a sikh State.

 34. Just offering another viewpoint, Punjab has been a traditional Congress stronghold and now it is controlled by the AAP. Both parties are opponents of BJP and would oppose whatever BJP proposes. Very possible that the majority of the protestors were their supporters who were being told to fight for justice bla, bla, bla while in fact they were just political pawns being used to undermine BJP policies and knowing the simpletons we have in our community, they fell for it hook ,line and sinker. This Act was very beneficial for Sikhs especially those living in war torn and terrorist infested countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan. I guess that movie Lal Singh Chadda perfectly showcases these pathetic bunch of umbrella holders, stupid yet arrogant.

 35. Mool Mantar is an extremely important Shabad for us, Sache Patshah gave it to the Sikhs as the first Shabad and its the first Shabad in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. With Mool Mantar everything can be accomplished, all desires are fulfilled, das remembers hearing a katha about the Jeevan of a Mahapurakh, the Mahapurakh used to get darshan every single day and he used to spend the whole day doing mool mantar, one day a sangat asked him, " Khalsa ji, why do you spend all your time doing mool mantar? You have darshan every day, what more is there to accomplish?" The Mahapurakh smiled and said " How can I leave the mool mantar that Guru Nanak Dev Ji so lovingly gave us?" Many times das has noticed, people tend to turn to mool mantar only when they have problems and after the problem is over they stop, or reduce the amount of mool mantar. We should never do this. We should never abandon the mool mantar given by Sache Patshah. Mool mantar is so powerful, das would like to make a humble request to the sangat to please do mool mantar every day. Try to include it in your nitnem and just see how much anand and peace the mool mantar gives and how it changes our lives. At least try to do 1 mala mool mantar a day, it is extremely powerful. Bhul Chuk Maf Ji, Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!?

 36. Your mindset is completely wrong, but I don't blame you because most people adopt Sikhi in the wrong way. Let's start with a question on the point of no motivation to do nitnem. Why do you eat food everyday? You'll say because our body needs it, we can't live without food. Eating food is linked to our survival. And what if you stopped eating, what poor condition would become of your body, and ultimately death? Motivation isn't required for survival activities. Motivation applies only to something which is over and beyond our survival instincts, i.e. something aspirational. Most people create an image in their mind that Sikhi is _________ . And that they have to try live up to that thing. They 'have' to follow rehit, read the nitnem each day etc. And this makes it a burden. Actually it all ignores one key thing which is HAPPINESS. Our soul has been void of it's nourishment for lifetimes. And for the stage our souls are in now, wearing the costume of 5 elements, that nourishment is available to us as dhur ki bani. Yeah I know it's hard, you think what's so special about this bani. Even on here people wrote you don't need to recite gurbani again and again, you just 'apply' it to your life. Actually that gurbani contains atam ras, our true nourishment. But to taste it we must take that shabad and meditate upon it with true love, emotion and patience. Then slowly your stage will come, you can't live without doing nitnem and reading gurbani, or rather at that point we can call it 'connecting' with gurbani, because that was our purpose of reading in the first place ? Then following Sikhi is a huge joy and bliss, and more intimate feeling too with guru sahib In practice this is a life long journey - it takes patience, hard work putting in the hours with naam simran, even getting kirpa and losing it and repeat. But then too you have to remember Vaheguru ji's love is unconditional. Logic doesn't apply, that you might be a newcomer and this person has been doing it 20 years etc. His kirpa can fall on any person of his choosing at any time. That's part of the journey too, waiting in his anticipation for kirpa to come. But in short - nothing guru sahib told us was to make our life difficult, it's for our benefit!

 37. it’s tragic though. In the last 20 years we got technology like readily available internet, social media, smart phones etc. We think we are well informed about what’s happening on this earth. Actually 99.9% of what’s happening on earth we’re never gonna have a clue about. Our daily information streams are no more than 0.01% and that too filtered to negative stories, biased and agenda promoting. Most people today are dangerously deluded. It sort of comes down to then thinking ok switch off technology and reflect what’s the 1 meter radius around me like? What’s the energy like, what thoughts am I living in? Do I have peace of mind? Am I really happy? So going back to daas’s earlier reply, a user who struck gold in this life Everything is actually here right now. Heaven and hell are here, sachkhand is here. Even our guru sahiban & sant mahapurkh are here too.

 40. It's not just about development. Our circumstances are really really bad . No country and being attacked everywhere. I mean just look at our history from 1500 onwards just fighting fighting fighting for our life. The small time of peace we had we were able to establish a well functioning kingdom with education way better than Britain of the time but then again we lost it. We also had Islamic invasions for like 1000 years. If a group is constantly involved in struggling for their survival I dont think it is easy to develop. Do you fight for your land your rights your future generation or do you try to build civilization it's easier said than done to say build this build that. I mean Hindus got a country now with full govt backing so why is India only declining. Going to other countries and working in their companies for high paying jobs is not progress or development. You are only contributing to their growth not your own homeland.

Musically, it's eerily reminiscent of 1997-era Coolio, so they're about 20 years behind current music tastes and styles, which for Indians isn't surprising. I really wish young Jatts watching this would laugh and tune it out as Canadian-Sikh cringe, and not something to aspire to. I hope so.
